Stockton RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Stockton RV Park, located at 416 N 4th St, Stockton, MO 65785, USA. If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Stockton Lake and are looking for a campground that provides essential amenities at a reasonable price, Stockton RV Park might be a suitable option, especially when other nearby campgrounds are at capacity. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of the park based on the available online reviews, highlighting its features and considerations for potential guests.
Strategic Location for Stockton Lake Activities
Stockton RV Park's primary advantage appears to be its proximity to Stockton Lake. One reviewer specifically mentioned using the park as a base for a weekend of activities on the lake when the "corp of engineers campgrounds full." This suggests that Stockton RV Park serves as a convenient alternative for visitors planning to enjoy the recreational opportunities offered by Stockton Lake, such as boating, fishing, and other water-based activities. Its location provides an accessible option when more directly lakefront campgrounds reach their capacity.
Full Hookups at a Reasonable Price
A significant feature of Stockton RV Park is that it offers "full hookups." This is a notable advantage, as the same reviewer points out that "most of the Corp. campgrounds only have electricity, no water or sewer." For RVers who prefer the convenience of having all essential utilities readily available at their site, Stockton RV Park provides a valuable amenity. The reviewer also describes the price as "reasonable," suggesting that the park offers a cost-effective option, particularly when considering the inclusion of full hookups. This combination of amenities and affordability can be a key factor for many RV travelers searching for "RV parks near me" that meet their needs without exceeding their budget.
Consideration Regarding Communication
One reviewer shared a less positive experience regarding communication, stating, "I’m sure this is a great place to stay but they do not answer the phone. I called 3 times within a week trying to get info on how to cancel our reservation. I even emailed them and no answer." This feedback raises a potential concern about the responsiveness of the park's management to inquiries via phone and email. While the reviewer did not ultimately stay at the park, their difficulty in reaching the management to handle a cancellation request is something for potential guests to be aware of. It's possible that this was an isolated incident, perhaps during a busy period as the reviewer noted ("I understand it’s a busy weekend"), but it highlights the importance of clear and reliable communication for customer service.
Lack of Mention of Shower House Facilities
Interestingly, the reviewer who stayed at Stockton RV Park made a specific note: "If you don't require a shower house then this is a great place for visiting Stockton lake." This statement implies that Stockton RV Park may not have public shower facilities available for guests, or if they do exist, they were not a primary feature or considered necessary by this particular camper. For RVers who rely on campground shower houses, this is a crucial piece of information to consider. Those who have self-contained RVs with their own bathroom and shower facilities may find this less of an issue. It is essential for potential guests to inquire directly with the park about the availability and condition of shower facilities if this is a requirement for their stay.
Environment and General Ambiance: Limited Details
The provided reviews offer limited information about the overall environment and ambiance of Stockton RV Park. There are no descriptions of the scenery, layout of the park, the size or spacing of the RV sites, or any specific features beyond the full hookups. Potential guests seeking a particular type of environment, such as wooded areas, lake views from the sites, or specific recreational amenities within the park itself (beyond the proximity to Stockton Lake), will need to seek further information directly from the park management or other online sources if available.
Services and Features Summary Based on Reviews
Based on the limited information from the customer reviews, the key services and features of Stockton RV Park appear to include:
- Full Hookups: Offering electricity, water, and sewer connections at each site. This is a significant advantage compared to some nearby campgrounds.
- Reasonable Pricing: Described as a cost-effective option, especially considering the full hookups.
- Convenient Location for Stockton Lake: Provides easy access to the lake and its recreational activities.
- Potentially Limited or No Shower House Facilities: Guests who require shower houses should verify their availability with the park.
Promotional Information: Not Available
The provided text does not contain any specific promotional information for Stockton RV Park, such as discounts, special rates for extended stays, or any unique offers. Local users interested in learning about pricing, availability, and any current promotions should contact the park directly using the phone numbers provided: (417) 680-4285 or +1 417-680-4285. Given the reviewer's difficulty in reaching the park, it might be prudent to try both numbers or persist with email if that option is available.
Considerations for Local Users Planning a Visit to Stockton Lake
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" for a trip to Stockton Lake, Stockton RV Park offers a practical option, particularly if you value full hookups and are looking for a reasonably priced stay. Its location provides convenient access to the lake when other campgrounds are full. However, it is essential to be aware of the potential communication challenges reported by one reviewer and to verify the availability of shower facilities if this is important to your camping experience. If you are self-contained and prioritize full hookups and proximity to the lake at a good price, Stockton RV Park could be a suitable choice. It would be beneficial to try contacting the park multiple times via phone to ensure you can get through and obtain all the necessary information for your stay, including booking procedures, specific amenities, and any park rules.
In conclusion, Stockton RV Park appears to be a functional campground that prioritizes essential amenities like full hookups at an attractive price point, making it a viable option for those visiting Stockton Lake. However, potential guests should be prepared to potentially encounter communication challenges and should confirm the availability of amenities like shower houses based on their individual needs.

Stockton RV Park Reviews
I’m sure this is a great place to stay but they do not answer the phone. I called 3 times within a week trying to get info on how to cancel our reservation. I even emailed them and no answer. We would’ve loved to stay here but we found a campsite closer to the event we were going to. I understand it’s a busy weekend but they could’ve at least returned a phone call.
May 23, 2024 · Haliey AndersonThe campground has full hookups at a reasonable price and was great for a weekend to play on Stockton lake with the corp of engineers campgrounds full. As reference most of the Corp. campgrounds only have electricity, no water or sewer. If you don't require a shower house then this is a great place for visiting Stockton lake.
Sep 20, 2023 · earl fullerWe stayed at Stockton RV Park during a trip to the lake. We got in a few days early and were fortunate enough to find a space here. The facility was clean and well managed. We will definitely be coming back again the next time we are passing through. Thanks!!
