Stone RV Park Introduce
If your search for "RV parks near me" brings you to Kiowa, Oklahoma, Stone RV Park, located at 435 N Garfield Ave, Kiowa, OK 74553, USA, offers a basic option for RV travelers. You can try contacting them at (918) 432-6312 or +1 918-432-6312, although recent reports indicate potential difficulties in reaching the management via phone. Based on the limited feedback available from recent visitors, Stone RV Park appears to be primarily a convenient pull-off location situated directly alongside the highway, catering mainly to overnight stays for those in transit.
One reviewer described Stone RV Park as "just a pull off rv park on the side of the highway," emphasizing its primary characteristic as a roadside stop. This suggests that the park might prioritize accessibility and ease of access for travelers rather than offering extensive amenities or a secluded environment. The convenience for overnight stays is highlighted as a key benefit, particularly for those passing through the Kiowa area and needing a quick and easy place to park and rest.
The availability of a laundry room was noted by a visitor who stayed at the park during a rainy period. This suggests that at one time, Stone RV Park offered this amenity, which is valuable for travelers needing to take care of laundry on the road. However, a more recent review, from approximately two years later, indicates that "the laundry room is now closed." This closure is an important piece of information for potential guests who rely on such facilities during their travels.
Another environmental factor mentioned by a guest was the lack of shade. They noted that there was "no shade from the hot sun," attributing this to their travel through Texas in August. While they acknowledge that the timing of their travel contributed to this experience, the comment suggests that the park itself may lack significant tree coverage or shaded areas, which could be a consideration for visitors, especially during the hotter months.
In terms of services and features, Stone RV Park does offer full hookups for RVs. The price for these full hookups was reported as $32. This information is useful for budget-conscious travelers looking for a basic overnight stop with essential utilities. "Full hookups" typically include connections for water, electricity, and sewer, allowing RVers to utilize all the systems in their vehicles.
However, attempting to contact the park via the phone number listed on a website reportedly leads to "stone electrical," with a voicemail instructing callers to contact Alice at a different number. This alternate number also reportedly goes to voicemail without a callback. This difficulty in contacting the management directly suggests that the park might be operating on a "completely self serve" basis, as indicated by one reviewer. This could mean that there is no on-site office or staff readily available, and guests might need to manage their check-in and any issues independently.
Adding to the description of the park's current state, one reviewer observed that Stone RV Park appears to cater "mostly long term" residents. This is a significant piece of information for overnight travelers, as it could indicate that the park's infrastructure and focus are geared towards longer-term stays, potentially with limited availability or fewer amenities catering specifically to short-term visitors. It might also influence the overall atmosphere of the park.
In summary, Stone RV Park in Kiowa, Oklahoma, appears to be a no-frills, highway-adjacent RV park primarily serving as a convenient overnight pull-off for travelers. It offers full hookups at a reported price of $32. However, potential guests should be aware that the laundry room is currently closed, there is likely little to no shade, and contacting the management may be challenging, suggesting a self-serve operation. Additionally, the park seems to be predominantly occupied by long-term residents, which might affect the experience for short-term visitors.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Kiowa, OK, Stone RV Park provides a basic option for an overnight stop due to its highway convenience and full hookups. However, those seeking more amenities, shade, on-site management, or a park primarily catering to short-term travelers might need to consider alternative options in the surrounding area. The self-serve nature and the closure of the laundry room are important factors to keep in mind when making a decision. It would be advisable to have all necessary supplies and be prepared for a potentially unshaded environment if choosing to stay at Stone RV Park.

Stone RV Park Reviews
Just a pull off rv park on the side of the highway. Very convenient overnight for traveling. Stayed once when it was raining and used their laundryroom. And again 2 yrs later, but the laundryroom is now closed. There was no shade from the hot sun, but our fault for traveling thru Texas in August. Price for full hookups is $32.
Sep 05, 2023 · Kimberly OlsonThe phone number on website goes to stone electrical, voice-mail says call Alice at another number. It goes to voice-mail and no callback. Completely self serve . Laundry room is closed . Mostly long term from what I saw.
Oct 22, 2023 · Teresa ClarkThis is a decent, self serve, road (and railroad) side park. If you're looking for quiet park for several days with the kids, this wont be for you but if you need a stopping point along the way this is great. Right off the highway, well maintained, level, very easy to maneuver (even arriving late night), 30/50 amp at each site, water, dumpster, etc. Even a laundromat. Cons would be road and train noise (bring a fan to drown it out), lack of security,. For $25 it's a great deal!
May 02, 2020 · MStill waiting for them to fix their laundry room. Said it was vandalized, Ive been here for a month. No change. Be careful of price. They charge u 4% extra if u use a card.
Nov 16, 2023 · Michael WilliamsI didn't stay here, but I was on my way back to the cold country and they allowed me to dump my grey tank and black tank on my way through. Very nice people.
