Sullivan North Introduce
For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me," Sullivan North, located at 605 W Hagerman St, Sullivan, IL 61951, presents itself as a manufactured home community, often categorized under broader search terms that include RV parks due to its nature as a residential community for mobile homes. While it primarily offers manufactured homes for long-term residency rather than transient RV sites, it provides an affordable living solution in a community setting within Sullivan, Illinois. Managed by Roots Management Group, Sullivan North aims to offer a comfortable and welcoming environment for its residents.
The environment at Sullivan North Manufactured Home Community is designed to be a neighborhood setting. It features a layout of manufactured homes, providing individual lots for residents. While specific details on green spaces or extensive landscaping are not always highlighted, the community aims to offer a pleasant residential atmosphere. The official descriptions emphasize a "welcoming neighborhood setting" where "neighbors become like family." Being located in Sullivan, IL, residents have access to local amenities and the broader environment of the town, which includes parks and recreational areas. For instance, Wyman Park is noted as a place for "picnics and leisurely nature walks," and Lake Shelbyville, a significant outdoor attraction, is nearby, offering "fishing, boating, and hiking adventures." However, it's important to provide a balanced view based on resident feedback. Some reviews mention issues with "horrible neighbors" and difficulties with outdoor animals from other residents, which can impact the living environment. The presence of such concerns suggests that while the community strives for a welcoming atmosphere, individual experiences with neighborly relations can vary.
In terms of services, Sullivan North is equipped to facilitate long-term residency in manufactured homes. The community has an "On-Site Office," which serves as a point of contact for residents regarding management and community affairs. This suggests a dedicated team available to address resident needs and manage the property. Essential services for manufactured homes, such as lot rentals which include utilities like water and sewer (though specific inclusions should always be confirmed with management), are standard for such communities. For instance, some available homes are advertised with a lot rental fee. Reviews, however, point to potential issues with management responsiveness and communication. One past resident experienced "trouble getting approved because the regional manager couldn't properly calculate my income with Section 8," and later faced rent payment complications due to "neglect to send documents causing my rent payment to triple because the housing authority won't accept their 2 separate leases." Another review highlights a significant delay in maintenance, stating, "Our back door has been busted out for 5 months now and they refuse to fix it until spring. It's spring now with 70 degree weather." These accounts suggest that while services are intended to be provided, the execution and effectiveness of these services, particularly in areas like maintenance and administrative support, have been a source of concern for some residents.
Sullivan North offers features that cater to families and long-term residents. A notable feature is a "delightful playground where families can gather for fun-filled playtime and kids can make new friends." This amenity contributes to the community's family-friendly appeal, providing a dedicated space for children's recreation. The homes themselves are described as "affordable homes designed to fit your budget without compromising on quality or comfort," emphasizing the value proposition of manufactured housing. These homes often include modern appliances like a range oven and refrigerator, as well as washer/dryer hookups. Parking is typically available off-street, and some homes may offer a small yard space. The community aims to create a setting where "affordable living meets endless possibilities," promoting a sense of belonging. Beyond the immediate community, residents have access to various local attractions in Sullivan, IL. This includes recreational opportunities at Lake Shelbyville for fishing, boating, and hiking, and cultural experiences at the Sullivan County Museum. The presence of local eateries and community gatherings further enhances the living experience for residents, providing avenues for socialization and engagement within the broader town. The focus is on providing a stable, long-term residential option rather than transient RV parking.
For those considering Sullivan North, some promotional and practical information is crucial. The community is described as "all-age," meaning it caters to individuals and families of all ages, not just specific demographics. The contact number for Sullivan North is (217) 728-2442. Their office hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a window for inquiries and support. When considering moving into a manufactured home community, potential residents should be aware of the application and approval process, which can involve income verification and background checks. The reviews suggest that prospective residents should carefully review all documentation, especially concerning rental agreements and any assistance programs like Section 8, to ensure clarity and avoid future complications. It's also advisable to inquire about the typical response times for maintenance requests and to understand the community rules regarding pets and neighborly conduct. While the promise of affordable living and a welcoming environment is promoted, it is prudent for interested parties to conduct their own due diligence, perhaps by visiting the community, observing the general condition, and speaking with current residents if possible, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the living experience. This objective approach will help align expectations with the reality of residency at Sullivan North Manufactured Home Community.

Sullivan North Reviews
I had trouble getting approved because the regional manager couldn't properly calculate my income with section 8. And the after I moved into a home they neglect to send documents causing my rent payment to triple because the housing authority won't accept their 2 separate leases. So now I'm potentially without a place to live yet they claim to take section 8
Mar 19, 2025 · Stephanie CraigThe neighbors are horrible and call the cops on you for anything and everything. The management has no idea what's going on. Our back door has been busted out for 5 months now and they refuse to fix it until spring. It's spring now with 70 degree weather. The lady in 28 has 3 cats outside and they just keep getting on our cars and scratching the paint. Worst place I have ever lived
Mar 18, 2022 · Katy ErwinThis community continues to provide affordable housing and a chance to rent or own your own home. The management is easy to work with and will guide you through every step of the process.
