This RV park offers a unique blend of a tranquil countryside setting and engaging activities, making it a noteworthy destination for local RV enthusiasts and families seeking a memorable outdoor experience.
Nestled in the heart of rural New Jersey, Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The environment is characterized by its peaceful, country atmosphere, offering a serene backdrop for your camping adventure. Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the open spaces that define this charming location. The campground's setting allows for a relaxing retreat, where you can unwind and reconnect with the outdoors.
For families with children, Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm stands out as a potentially ideal choice. Based on local reviews, the park offers a variety of activities specifically geared towards kids. From playgrounds where children can burn off energy to the delightful experience of interacting with farm animals, there are ample opportunities to keep young ones entertained and engaged. These features make it a strong contender when searching for "family camping New Jersey" or "camping with kids New Jersey." One reviewer enthusiastically mentioned their daughter's love for the animals and playgrounds, highlighting the family-friendly appeal of the park.
While the environment and children's activities receive positive feedback, it's important to provide a balanced perspective based on all available information. Some reviews indicate areas where services might be perceived as lacking. Specifically, mentions of limited bathroom facilities and the frequency of shower cleaning suggest that these are aspects potential visitors should be aware of. One reviewer noted that after check-in, the staff's attentiveness to guest needs seemed to diminish. However, it's crucial to consider the context of peak seasons, such as the Columbus Day weekend mentioned in another review, which can sometimes strain even well-equipped facilities.
Despite some concerns about service levels, the overall sentiment from many visitors remains positive, with several expressing their intention to return. The lively atmosphere, particularly during holiday weekends, and the enjoyment derived from the available events contribute significantly to the positive experiences reported. This suggests that the park offers a vibrant and engaging environment that many families appreciate.
Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm likely offers a range of typical RV park amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. While specific details weren't provided in the reviews, you can generally expect features such as RV hookups (including water, electricity, and possibly sewer), designated camping sites, and potentially communal areas for gatherings. To get a comprehensive understanding of all available services, including laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, and specific details about the bathroom and shower facilities, it is advisable to contact the park directly using the provided phone number: (973) 875-4166 or the mobile number: +1 973-875-4166.
Beyond RV camping, Sun Retreats often provides alternative accommodation options. It's worth inquiring about the availability of cabin rentals if you prefer a more structured lodging experience while still enjoying the park's amenities and environment. This could be an excellent option for those who want to experience the "farm animals camping" aspect without bringing an RV.
To make the most of your visit, especially during peak seasons, it is highly recommended to make reservations in advance. Contacting the park directly will also allow you to inquire about any current promotional offers or special events that might be taking place during your intended stay. Understanding the park's policies regarding pets, check-in/check-out times, and any specific rules will also contribute to a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
In conclusion, for local users searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a unique blend of rural charm and family-oriented activities, Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm presents a compelling option. While some aspects of the services have received mixed reviews, the engaging environment, especially for children who love animals and playgrounds, and the potential for lively holiday weekends make it a destination worth considering. We encourage you to contact Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm directly at (973) 875-4166 or +1 973-875-4166 to gather the most up-to-date information on services, availability, and any current promotions to plan your perfect local RV park getaway.

Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm Reviews
We stayed at Pleasant Acres Campground. The campground was very nice. It is in the country. There were some nice activities for kids if you have them. The services were very lacking though. Limited bathrooms. The showers were small and not cleaned often. Once you check in the staff does not really care if you need anything.
May 05, 2025 · Joan FiniganSo should start with the fact that it was Columbus day weekend. It was a fun and lively campground. My daughter loved the animals and the playgrounds. We enjoyed some of the events (sometimes we can't stick to a plan when young children are involved). We are definitely coming back next year
Oct 16, 2024 · Joseph WilichoskiThis campground was simply awesome. Let's start with the obvious, there are no other rv resorts that have farm animals that you can feed and pet. Not into animals not a problem the views is amazing. The camp store was immaculate prices reasonable and O can't wait to come back again. Constant activities going on . My only hiccup was the site we were in was not completely level and took some maneuvering on our part to get things level (most likely just an issue w the site itself) . No golf carts to rent but you really didn't need it (depending on the site you were in).
Sep 20, 2024 · J RMy family, parents, and friends stayed at Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres from 10/3-10/6 and it was a disaster from day 1. As soon as we pulled in, unsupervised toddlers were running through our sites while we were trying to park our RVs. At night, we took our kids for a ride on the golf cart. Unbeknownst to us, because it was not disclosed during check-in, the campground is all one-way streets and we were stopped twice by an employee, informing us we were riding down the wrong way. Mind you, the second time we were stopped, there were no signs in the cross streets so we used our best judgment. While we were stopped, a seasonal camper nearly hit our golf cart in a fit of rage and proceeded to scream at us for going the wrong way past his campsite. This was a one-time occurrence since we only went around the campground one time before going back to our site after feeling unsafe with our children being exposed to the outrage. We later found out that the seasonal camper thought we were part of a group of individuals visiting from out of country that have been causing havoc throughout the campground for weeks. The same kids that were in the way while we were setting up were continuously going through our campsite the entire weekend, their parents drove through my parents’ site, and the kids threw beer bottles and held large sticks next to our vehicles. By day two, we complained to the front office. That night, the family still proceeded to walk through our site so my husband confronted them. It became aggressive, and we felt uneasy that night with our personal belongings outside. The next day, an incident occurred with the same group of out-of-country guests and the situation blew up. We were fed up and got into a screaming match. Security, again, did absolutely nothing. Sun Retreats needs a policy for repeated offenses. The way things were handled is enough to keep us from returning to this campground, which is a shame because, all issues aside, the campground was very well maintained and in a beautiful setting. We have camped for decades and have never experienced such negligence in ensuring the safety and comfortability of guests from any other campground we’ve been to.
Oct 08, 2024 · Katelynn HuffGave 4 stars as some of the roads to get there with a 45’ Motorcoach towing are a bit tight.Loved our Pull Thru site. Level, spacious, trees around, deer roaming, relaxing.Pool was being remodeled so could not use. Views from office and playground are fantastic!Would stay again.
