Sunset Cove West formerly Blue Eye Point RV Park Introduce
Searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lincoln, Alabama area? Consider Sunset Cove West, formerly known as Blue Eye Point RV Park, located at 44738 US-78, Lincoln, AL 35096. You can reach them at (205) 763-3360 or +1 205-763-3360. Based on recent customer feedback, the park presents a mixed experience, with some residents expressing positive views on the management and atmosphere, while a former short-term visitor reported issues regarding site conditions and deposit policies.
The Environment: Potential for Lakeside Enjoyment
While the specific environmental details are not extensively described in the provided reviews, the former name, "Blue Eye Point RV Park," suggests a potential proximity to a body of water, likely a lake, given the common association of "point" with a landform extending into water. This hints at the possibility of a scenic or lakeside environment, which could be a significant draw for RV enthusiasts seeking waterfront views or recreational activities such as fishing or boating. However, one concerning review from a short-term camper mentioned pulling their camper onto two lots that were "both flooded." This raises questions about the drainage and condition of some sites within the park, particularly during or after periods of rain. Potential local users might want to inquire about the specific site conditions and the park's location relative to any nearby water bodies to assess if the environment meets their expectations for a pleasant and dry camping experience.
Services and Amenities: Mixed Perceptions of Management
The reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the management of Sunset Cove West. One long-term resident of over two years has a highly positive view, describing Gloria as "a very nice lady" and Joe, the manager, as "a saint." This reviewer praises their efforts to accommodate residents. This positive feedback suggests a management team that is generally helpful and tries to create a positive living environment for long-term occupants. However, the negative review from a former short-term camper presents a starkly different experience. This individual reported being denied their deposit refund due to not providing a 30-day notice, despite claiming that this requirement was never mentioned upon moving their camper onto the grounds and that no contract was signed, indicating a month-to-month arrangement. This discrepancy highlights potential issues with communication regarding park policies, particularly concerning deposits and notice periods for short-term stays. It also raises questions about the consistency of policy application and transparency with new arrivals. Potential visitors should clarify all deposit and cancellation policies upfront and consider requesting written confirmation to avoid misunderstandings.
Regarding other services and amenities, the provided reviews do not offer specific details. Typical RV park amenities might include hookups for water, sewer, and electricity, as well as facilities like restrooms, showers, laundry, and possibly recreational areas. Given the limited information, local users considering Sunset Cove West should directly inquire about the availability and condition of these essential services to ensure they meet their needs for a comfortable RV stay. The contrast in management experiences suggests that the quality of service might be perceived differently depending on the duration of stay and the specific circumstances encountered.
Features: Potential Lakeside Location with Policy Concerns
A potential key feature of Sunset Cove West, based on its former name, could be its location near or on a lake, offering potential for scenic views and water-related activities. This could be a significant draw for those seeking a lakeside RV experience in the Lincoln, Alabama area. The positive review from a long-term resident suggests a generally positive atmosphere within the park for those who reside there. However, the negative experience regarding the flooded lots and the deposit dispute raises concerns about the reliability of site conditions and the clarity of park policies for short-term visitors. The lack of a signed contract, as mentioned by the dissatisfied former camper, underscores the importance of clear communication and written agreements regarding terms of stay, especially concerning financial aspects like deposits and refund conditions. Potential features might also include the size and layout of the lots, but this information is not available in the provided reviews. Local users should prioritize inquiring about the specific features relevant to their RV needs, such as hookup availability, site size, and access to any potential lake amenities.

Aug 08, 2024 · Donald NowlinI don't understand the bad reviews I live here a little over 2 years Gloria is a very nice lady Joe the manager in my opinion is a saint they try their best to accommodate
Jul 05, 2024 · Charles SivleyI lived here for just over three years before we bought our house. It's a great park and some of the best rates you will find in the area on the water! The owners are great and very easy to work with. Nice and quite area and the property is maintained and is taken very well care of. Whether your looking for a one night stay or long term on the lake I would highly recommend this park!
Jan 23, 2018 · Chris AndersenThe owner is a horrible woman who kept my deposit and literally committed a b&e when she came into My trailer without permission while I slept because I didn't answer the door she just walked in. And anytime I had friends over serveral people would harress them about why they were there and who they were with, even if I was standing there too. And race week is the worst as they have no noise curfew. Horrible community of people. The on site maintenance guy almost made up for it but not enough.
Aug 23, 2017 · Holli JonesThe is a local owned single person ran t.v. park .. It's located water front . Main for permanent sites but the lady that owns the place does have short stay lots ... full hookups !! Water pressure EXTREMLY high bit nothing a good regulator can't fix ... so Beware of that ... the docks are nice and boat ramp isn't half bad either .. real easy to deal with by text and really no certain ti.e for checkout which is a plus in my book ... no rushing you to leave... The owner EXTREMLY nice and everyone is extremely nice and quiet so ... best place to get good rest ... no camp store and the lots are tight but not bad for the money !!!
