Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community is located at 3024 S Valley Dr #1 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Primarily a manufactured home community designed for long-term residency, its suitability for those searching within the 'RV parks near me' category is uncertain based on the limited information available online, particularly the strongly negative customer review. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the existing feedback to assist local users in their search for housing or temporary RV accommodations, while emphasizing the critical points raised by a recent resident.
For individuals and families considering long-term living in a manufactured home community, Terra Estates offers a location within Rapid City. Manufactured home communities can sometimes provide a more affordable housing option, and the sense of community can be appealing. However, the recent customer review paints a concerning picture of the management and overall living experience at Terra Estates. The reviewer uses harsh terms, stating that "Management is a friggin joke" and alleging a high turnover rate in the office, making it pointless to learn staff names. This suggests potential instability and a lack of consistent communication from the management.
The review further details serious issues encountered by the resident, including inconsistent enforcement of rules, unresolved neighbor disputes, and a lack of action regarding stray cats despite a no-pet clause in the tenant agreement. The resident recounts being told to trap the cats themselves, which they felt was a management responsibility. The experience of receiving conflicting information from multiple management representatives over a ten-month period highlights a lack of clear and effective communication and problem-solving within the management structure. The reviewer also raises concerns about the safety and environment of the community, mentioning frequent late-night activity, loud music, and regular police presence, leading to a sense of unease about the neighborhood.
Furthermore, the review criticizes the maintenance of the property, specifically pointing out "craters/canyons" in the road, including at the entrance, which have not been addressed despite the potential for damage to vehicles. The reviewer sarcastically suggests waiting until a towing incident occurs before taking action. An additional serious concern raised pertains to the management's alleged lack of understanding of service animal laws, with the reviewer claiming inappropriate questions and requests for documentation related to a veteran's service dog. This indicates a potential lack of professionalism and legal awareness on the part of the management.
The reviewer concludes by strongly advising against renting at Terra Estates, comparing it unfavorably to another problematic property and suggesting that the management's standards are as low as their lot rent is high. This overwhelmingly negative assessment should be a significant consideration for anyone contemplating long-term residency at Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community.
In contrast to the severe criticisms, another reviewer offers a slightly more positive note, mentioning that Terra Estates does organize activities aimed at helping residents connect with the community, which they heard were fun, although they had not personally attended. This suggests some effort to foster a sense of community among residents, which could be a positive aspect for those seeking social interaction within the neighborhood.
Regarding the 'RV parks near me' category, the information available does not explicitly state whether Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community offers accommodations for recreational vehicles. Given that it is primarily described as a manufactured home community and the recent negative review highlights significant management and maintenance issues, it is uncertain if RV facilities are available or well-maintained. If RV sites were offered, potential guests would need to inquire about hookups, site sizes, amenities, and the overall condition of the park. However, the serious concerns raised in the review about management responsiveness and property upkeep would warrant extreme caution for RV travelers considering a stay here.
Based on the available information, the environment of Terra Estates appears to be a point of concern for at least one resident, who describes it as potentially unsafe with frequent late-night activity and police presence. The physical environment also seems to suffer from maintenance neglect, particularly regarding the roads. While there might be efforts to build community through activities, the overall atmosphere, as depicted by the negative review, seems far from ideal.
The services at Terra Estates for manufactured home residents would typically include basic utilities connections (water, sewer, electricity) to the lots and waste management. However, the negative review casts doubt on the reliability and responsiveness of the management regarding maintenance and rule enforcement. Information about specific amenities, such as laundry facilities or recreational areas, is not provided. For potential RV guests, the availability and quality of services would be even more uncertain given the focus on manufactured homes and the issues raised in the review.
There is no promotional information available online for Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community. The stark contrast between the positive mention of community activities and the overwhelmingly negative review regarding management and living conditions underscores the importance of approaching this community with significant caution and conducting thorough personal due diligence. This would involve contacting the management directly to address the serious concerns raised, visiting the property to assess the conditions firsthand, and seeking out additional, recent feedback from residents if possible.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me', Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community does not present itself as a clearly viable option based on the available information. The strong negative review highlighting significant issues with management, rule enforcement, safety concerns, and maintenance neglect should deter RV travelers seeking a comfortable and reliable stay. It would be advisable to focus on other RV parks in the Rapid City area that have more positive or at least neutral recent reviews.
In conclusion, Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community at 3024 S Valley Dr #1 in Rapid City, SD, is primarily a manufactured home community. While one reviewer mentions community activities, a recent and detailed review raises severe concerns about the management, rule enforcement, safety, and maintenance of the property, strongly advising against renting there. For those seeking 'RV parks near me', there is no clear indication that Terra Estates offers suitable accommodations, and the negative feedback regarding the overall management and environment should be a significant deterrent. Prospective residents and RV travelers should exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough personal investigation before considering this location.

Terra Estates Manufactured Home Community Reviews
You'd be better off at the Star Dust motel on East North. Management is a friggin joke and that's being nice. If and only if you get ahold of someone in the office don't bother to learn their name because their turnover rate is so high that they'll be gone in 1-3 months. It depends on who you are as to whether the rules and Tennant agreement apply to you. Have had several issued with my next door neighbor and when the property manager came to my house he actually said "well the office won't do anything about my neighbor because they pay their lot rent on time" yeah so do I, never late, auto pay. Not to mention $1288 damage by outside cats which according to tennant agreement you arent supposed to have and I was told that Management would supply the traps for me to trap them! Why dafuk do I need to trap someone else's cats? That's a management/cat owner problem. I have dealt with 5 different people over the last 10 months one being a district manager and got 5 different responses of what action to take. People are in and out of here at all hours of the night as well as thump music all hours of the night and lately the cops ride through quite often so you aren't sure whether your heart is beating fast because this neighborhood gives you that warm fuzzy feeling or whether it's because there might be a drive-by on slingers corner of meth lane. Talking to management about anything is about like trying to eat a bowl of water with a 2 tined fork. Maintenance is fantastic though, let's not do a thing about the craters/canyons in the road especially the one at the entrance no let's just wait until Olsons has to tow someone out of them. And here's an idea, when a veteran has a service dog maybe just maybe management should learn the laws and regulations of service animals before they ask questions that they aren't supposed to ask or ask for documents that they aren't allowed to ask for. My advice is if you are going to enforce a law then you might want to learn the law and not what management thinks the law should be or how it should be interpreted, that's a line you really don't want to cross. This place is a joke, it's like living up at star village, or wait that's right management just purchased the trailer park at star village too so at least we know that their standards are as high as their lot rent. If the standards get much lower then we will probably see a hourly rate on the lot rent like the no-tell motel.
