Brookdale Estates Introduce
Welcome to Brookdale Estates, a mobile home park located at 1702 SD-44, Rapid City, SD 57703, USA. For local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category for potential long-term residential options that might accommodate mobile homes, Brookdale Estates presents a community in Rapid City. This introduction aims to provide a balanced perspective on the park based on the available customer reviews, highlighting both positive and negative feedback to assist potential residents in their decision-making process.
Based on the limited reviews available online, the perception of Brookdale Estates appears to be somewhat divided. One reviewer describes it as a "beautiful park" with notable positive attributes. They mention "large yards" and "mature trees," suggesting a spacious and aesthetically pleasing environment with established greenery. This reviewer also noted a sense of quiet and a "nice atmosphere for kids to be outside and surrounding areas," indicating a potentially family-friendly environment where residents seem to respect the neighborhood. This positive feedback paints a picture of a park with an attractive physical setting and a potentially harmonious community.
However, another reviewer presents a significantly contrasting experience. This feedback raises serious concerns regarding the management, infrastructure, and overall value proposition of Brookdale Estates. According to this review, the manager, John, is perceived as lacking awareness and concern regarding park operations. A major issue highlighted is recurring water pipe problems throughout the park, leading to frequent water outages throughout the year. This type of infrastructure problem can significantly impact the daily lives and comfort of residents.
Furthermore, this negative review criticizes the condition of the "Trailer Courts roads" as being "horrible." Poor road conditions within a mobile home park can affect the accessibility and overall quality of life for residents. Additionally, the reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with the "Lot rent," describing it as "overpriced for the ghetto area and court," and accuses the park management of acting like "slumlords." This strong negative sentiment suggests significant issues related to the perceived value of the residency in relation to the cost and the overall condition of the park and its surroundings.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it is challenging to form a definitive overall assessment of Brookdale Estates. However, by objectively analyzing the feedback, we can identify key aspects that potential residents should be aware of:
- Beautiful Physical Environment: The positive review highlights the large yards and mature trees, suggesting a visually appealing and potentially spacious living environment.
- Quiet Atmosphere and Family-Friendly Potential: The mention of a quiet environment and a nice atmosphere for children suggests that the park might be suitable for families seeking a peaceful setting.
- Concerns Regarding Management: One review strongly criticizes the manager, citing a lack of competence and care. This is a significant factor to consider, as effective management is crucial for a well-functioning community.
- Infrastructure Issues: Recurring water pipe problems leading to frequent water outages are a serious concern that could significantly disrupt residents' lives.
- Poor Road Conditions: The description of the roads as "horrible" suggests potential accessibility issues and a lack of maintenance in this area.
- High Lot Rent Relative to Perceived Value: The negative review claims that the lot rent is overpriced for the area and the condition of the park, indicating a potential discrepancy between cost and quality.
Currently, no promotional information or specific details about services and amenities offered at Brookdale Estates are available in the provided reviews. Potential residents would need to directly contact the park management to inquire about these aspects. It would be prudent to ask specific questions related to water infrastructure maintenance, road repair plans, and a detailed breakdown of the lot rent and any included services.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," and considering options that might accommodate mobile homes for longer-term residency, Brookdale Estates presents a location in Rapid City. However, the significant concerns raised in one of the reviews regarding management, infrastructure, and value cannot be ignored. Potential residents should weigh the positive comments about the park's beauty and atmosphere against the serious allegations of mismanagement and infrastructure problems.
It is highly recommended that anyone considering Brookdale Estates for residency conduct a thorough site visit. During this visit, potential residents should carefully observe the condition of the roads and the overall infrastructure. If possible, speaking with current residents (beyond those who have left online reviews) could provide further insights into the day-to-day living experience at Brookdale Estates. Direct engagement with the management is also crucial to address the concerns raised in the negative review and to understand their perspective and any plans for improvement.
Given the conflicting feedback, Brookdale Estates appears to be a mobile home park with both potential positive attributes and significant areas of concern. The attractive physical environment and peaceful atmosphere mentioned in one review are appealing, but the serious allegations regarding management, infrastructure issues (water outages and road conditions), and the perceived high cost of lot rent warrant careful investigation. Potential residents should proceed with caution and gather comprehensive information before making a decision.
To obtain further details about Brookdale Estates, including current lot availability, specific amenities, lot rental fees, and management policies, please contact them directly at (605) 348-4330 or +1 605-348-4330. Asking detailed questions about the issues raised in the negative review will be essential in making an informed decision about whether Brookdale Estates is the right fit for your residential needs in Rapid City.

Brookdale Estates Reviews
This trailer court is a joke, John the manager has no idea what is going on, and nor does he care. The court has water pipe problems throughout which leads to water being off a few times a month all year. Trailer Courts roads are horrible, Lot rent is over priced for the ghetto area and court, they think they aren’t slumlords. Don’t even bother looking into Brooksdale Estates.
May 06, 2024 · Kaylor PinneyIt's a beautiful park. Large yards mature trees. Quiet from what I could see and hear. Nice atmosphere for kids to be outside and surrounding areas. All seem to respect the neighborhood.its a 9.
Jan 22, 2022 · Corey GilbertLived here for 8 years, would never go back. It's kept up fairly well but the lot rent is outrageous - hundreds of dollars more a month than other parks. Might as well buy a real house for what you pay here. Complaints are ignored, park covered repairs are left undone for months, out of state owners NEVER answer their phone or return calls.
Nov 06, 2018 · Brett BWonderful experience had blast of one week of relaxation and fun and fellowship of a wonderful friend just like a mother who had wonderful food and was a gracious host to make sure my stay was great I intend to go back there this year in August the same dates.
Jan 16, 2018 · leigh AdamsonGreat neighborhood in some aspects lawns and homes are kept clean and monitored by a staff of two. It seems crime and fairly uneasy people have begun moving into the area
