The RV Resort at Orange Lake Introduce
For local residents seeking modern "RV parks near me" in the Citra, Florida area, The RV Resort at Orange Lake, located at 18365 NW 45th Ave Rd, Citra, FL 32113, USA, presents an evolving option. You can contact them at (352) 878-4855 or their mobile number, +1 352-878-4855, to inquire about current availability and future developments. Based on recent customer feedback, The RV Resort at Orange Lake is currently in a state of active construction and development, offering a glimpse into its future potential while also presenting some immediate considerations for prospective guests.
One recent reviewer, who had been staying at the resort for five days with plans for a 30-day stay, described it as a "nice place" despite the ongoing construction. This suggests that even in its developing phase, the resort offers some appealing qualities. The reviewer specifically highlighted positive aspects such as "concrete pads" and "pull throughs," which are often desirable features for RVers seeking level and easily accessible sites. Additionally, they noted "great water pressure," an important comfort for RV living. The presence of an "active team working here" indicates an ongoing effort to build and maintain the resort.
As of the time of that review, there were two laundry and bath houses open, serving approximately 200 total spots, with less than half of them currently occupied. This might suggest ample space and accessibility to these essential facilities for current guests. The reviewer also mentioned "good prices," although they humorously noted the heat around the 4th of July, a typical Floridian weather condition. Currently, the office is operating out of a "destination trailer," but the reviewer anticipates a permanent structure soon. Excitingly, the owner reportedly mentioned a potential future water park, with slide pieces already visible on-site, hinting at significant future recreational amenities.
Adding to the future prospects, the same reviewer noted that a "club house is being built too," suggesting the addition of a communal space for guests to socialize and enjoy. However, a current drawback mentioned was the lack of connected fiber internet, requiring the reviewer to use their satellite for internet access. They did note that the fiber connection was "in the process," indicating that reliable internet service is planned for the future.
In contrast to the positive initial impressions of the first reviewer, another review presents a significantly different perspective. This reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating that "they literally cut down all the trees and made a parking lot." This paints a picture of a potentially stark and treeless environment, lacking the natural shade and landscaping that some RVers prefer. They further criticized the lack of "good amenities" and "no privacy," suggesting that the current offerings do not meet their expectations for a comprehensive RV resort experience.
The second reviewer also raised concerns about the pricing, stating "$160 a night to stay here." They drew a comparison to the renowned Fort Wilderness, suggesting that for a lower price, one could have a "better experience and more amenities along with privacy on most rv sites." This critical review characterizes the resort's approach as part of a "new style of rv parks" that, in their opinion, "ruins the experience for rvers" by prioritizing open space over natural surroundings and privacy.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it's evident that The RV Resort at Orange Lake is a work in progress with both potential benefits and current drawbacks. For local users seeking "RV parks near me," the appeal of this resort will likely depend on their individual priorities. The ongoing construction suggests that the environment and amenities are subject to change and improvement. The promise of a future water park and clubhouse could be significant attractions for families and those seeking recreational opportunities.
However, the current lack of mature landscaping and potential for limited privacy, as highlighted by one reviewer, might be a concern for those who value a more natural and secluded camping experience. The pricing, especially when compared to established resorts like Fort Wilderness, could also be a significant factor for budget-conscious travelers.
For local users interested in The RV Resort at Orange Lake, it is crucial to contact them directly at (352) 878-4855 or +1 352-878-4855 to get the most up-to-date information. Inquire about the current status of construction, the availability and specifics of amenities (including laundry, restrooms, showers, and Wi-Fi), the layout of the sites, and the overall environment. It would also be beneficial to ask about the anticipated completion dates for the clubhouse, internet connectivity, and any other planned facilities, such as the potential water park.
Furthermore, inquire about current pricing and any potential discounts or long-term stay rates that might be available. Understanding the full cost and what is included will help local users compare The RV Resort at Orange Lake with other "RV parks near me" and determine if it offers the best value for their needs and preferences.
In conclusion, The RV Resort at Orange Lake presents a developing option for local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Citra, Florida. While it currently offers concrete pads, pull-through sites, and good water pressure, it is still under significant construction. Future amenities like a clubhouse and potentially a water park hold promise, but the current environment may lack mature landscaping and privacy for some. Pricing appears to be a point of contention in the early stages. Direct communication with the resort management is essential for obtaining the most accurate and current information to make an informed decision based on your individual priorities and expectations for an RV resort experience.

The RV Resort at Orange Lake Reviews
I've only been here for 5 days at the time of review, have planned for a full 30 though. Nice place, even though it's still under construction. Concrete pads, pull throughs, great water pressure, even a little on the high side. Active team working here. Two laundry and bath houses open and about 200 spots total as of now. Less than half occupied right this min. Good prices, though it is hot around the 4th 😅 Office is still a destination trailer, but it looks like it won't be for much longer. Future water park maybe? So says the owner, and I can see all the slide pieces 🛝Club house is being built too 👍Only bummer so far is that I had to drag out my satellite for internet, their fiber is not yet connected, though it's in the process
Jun 28, 2024 · Liam DortonThey literally cut down all the trees and made a parking lot. No good amenities and no privacy. It's $160 a night to stay here, you can stay at Fort Wilderness several times a year for under $100 and you get a better experience and more amenities along with privacy on most rv sites. This new style of rv parks is what ruins the experience for rvers.
Mar 13, 2025 · JazFThis is a review of the Golf Course only. I am pretty new beginner golfer and my partner is completely new never played before. The folks here were very, very kind and understanding. Absolutely 5 stars for their level of customer service. The course itself, in my opinion, was well manicured. The tee boxes were in perfect shape, greens are a little slow and the roughs were good. Par 4s and 3s on this short 9-hole course. The driving range is great as well. There is a putting green, but I did not use it this time. Great golf carts too. They must stay on the cart path for the par 3s (only 3 of them). There is a restaurant on site if you want a bite after your round. We'll have to try it next time. I would defintely come back and play this course again.
Jan 05, 2025 · VTThis park is still under construction. They will be working on office, clubhouse and pool area this summer. They have big lots with plenty of room between sites. Nice place if you like to walk, bike, they offered cornhole, cardio, bocce ball. Can't wait to come back year to see the progress.
Apr 02, 2024 · Bev McCarthyWe stayed for a night while passing through and really loved this resort. It is still under construction so they are limiting the number of guests until completed but we can't wait to go back and see the progress. The sites are huge, paved, and level.
