The RV Resort Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me," The RV Resort, located at 5300 S I35W in Alvarado, TX 76009, USA, presents itself as a potentially convenient option for RV travelers in the area. Situated along Interstate 35W, this RV park offers easy access for those passing through or looking for a longer stay in North Texas. You can reach them at (817) 733-4905 or +1 817-733-4905 for inquiries and reservations.
Based on feedback from recent visitors, The RV Resort offers certain advantages, particularly regarding its accessibility and the helpfulness of some staff members. One reviewer who stayed for five weeks noted the ease of navigating the park with a large RV, highlighting the availability of uncovered pull-thru sites. This suggests that the park is designed to accommodate larger rigs, which can be a significant factor for many RV owners. The same reviewer also commended Kim, the office manager, and John, the maintenance technician, for their friendly and helpful service, indicating a positive interaction with some of the park's personnel.
In terms of the physical environment and site features, the pull-thru sites are described as long enough to accommodate a large truck and a 40-foot fifth wheel. However, it's important to note a potential drawback mentioned by the same reviewer: the sewer connections are located at the rear of these sites, which may require the use of longer hoses depending on your RV's configuration. Additionally, this reviewer felt that the pull-thru sites were positioned somewhat closely together, with their sewer connection being in close proximity to a neighbor's picnic table. For those who prioritize more space and separation between RVs, exploring the back-in sites might be a preferable option, although specific details about these sites are not provided in the review.
The availability of a laundry room with three front-load washers and three dryers is a practical amenity for extended stays. However, the payment system, which is card-only, appears to have some reliability issues, with the card readers reported to be temperamental, especially on windy days. Furthermore, one reviewer expressed disappointment with the cleanliness of the washing machines compared to other parks they had visited.
While The RV Resort offers some conveniences, potential guests should be aware of certain aspects that some visitors have found less satisfactory. One recurring concern is the perceived value for money. A reviewer felt that the park was a "little overpriced," especially considering the lack of cable service and the limited free Wi-Fi. This suggests that while basic utilities like water, electricity, and sewer are likely included, additional entertainment or connectivity options might come at an extra cost or be limited in their free availability. It is advisable to inquire about the specifics of Wi-Fi access and whether cable TV hookups are available and at what cost.
Another significant point raised in the reviews concerns additional fees for credit card payments. One guest reported that using a credit card for a monthly rate resulted in an extra charge of approximately $30. This is an important factor to consider when budgeting for your stay, as it can add to the overall cost. It would be prudent to confirm the accepted payment methods and any associated fees with the park management when making your reservation.
Adding a contrasting perspective, another reviewer strongly advised against using The RV Resort, citing issues with the application process and customer service. This individual described being "blown off" by the manager, experiencing inconsistencies regarding move-in timelines, and encountering difficulties in securing a space despite being told they were available. This feedback raises concerns about the consistency and quality of the administrative and customer service aspects of the park. Potential guests may want to consider this feedback alongside the more positive experiences when making their decision.
To summarize, The RV Resort in Alvarado, Texas, offers a location with easy access to I-35W and pull-thru sites that can accommodate large RVs. Some staff members have been commended for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, potential drawbacks include the rear placement of sewer connections on pull-thru sites, the proximity of these sites to each other, temperamental card readers in the laundry room, concerns about cleanliness, the lack of free cable service, limited free Wi-Fi, and potential extra fees for credit card payments. Additionally, one reviewer reported significant issues with the application process and customer service.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," The RV Resort might be a viable option depending on your specific needs and priorities. If easy access and the ability to accommodate large rigs are paramount, and you are prepared for the potential downsides mentioned in the reviews, it could be worth considering. However, it is strongly recommended to contact The RV Resort directly at (817) 733-4905 or +1 817-733-4905 to inquire about current rates, availability, specific site details, Wi-Fi and cable options, payment policies, and to address any concerns raised in the reviews. Gathering the most up-to-date information directly from the park will help you make an informed decision about whether The RV Resort is the right fit for your RV travel plans in the Alvarado, Texas area.

The RV Resort Reviews
We stayed here for five weeks. Our site was an uncovered pull-thru. Kim, the office manager, and John, the maintenance technician, are both very friendly and helpful. We liked the park's location and found it very easy to navigate through with a large RV.The site was long enough to easily accommodate our F250 and our 40-ft 5th wheel. The sewer connections are at the rear of the site, so we needed to bring out our longest hoses in order to reach the waste valves at the front of our rig. I feel that the pull-thrus are a little closer together than I prefer. Our sewer connection was very close to our neighbor's picnic table. If you prefer more space between you and the next RV, you may want to choose one of the back-in sites. The laundry room has three front-load washers and three dryers. Payment is by card only, and the card readers can be very temperamental, especially on windy days. We had just come from a park that was very diligent about wiping down their machines twice a day, so I was disappointed that the washers were often dirtier than I am used to.Although generally a nice park, I think that it is a little overpriced, especially since there is no cable service and the Wifi is only free for a limited period of time. Future guests may also want to know that paying with a credit card will result in extra fees. For a monthly rate, those fees increased our payment by about $30.
Mar 20, 2025 · Kendra DuBoulayDO NOT USE THIS RV PARK. I have been trying to figure out how to apply and the manager has been blowing me off. They then told me that I had 3 days to move in even through they have said for a deposit it was a week. They had horrible customer service. Everytime I asked about a space they turned out the next day and said it wasn’t available even though they never answered my messages. Find a better park with better service
Apr 08, 2025 · Nicholas MeadorThe park itself is nice, all concrete, covered spots available, dog park, pool laundry etc. The problem is that my girlfriend committed suicide in my camper while I was staying there. Adding to my grief and suffering, the owners of the park evicted me due to "police activity"! We weren't fighting, causing a scene, playing loud music, dealing drugs, I called 911 because she ended her life! Very traumatic day, and zero care from the owners! Don't plan on calling 911 if you're there, you'll be kicked out and moving with their eviction notice! Absolutely horrible experience during the worst time of my life!
Feb 09, 2025 · Craig BumgarnerI was lucky to find this place. The staff, grounds, facilities and neighbors are all ideal. So far I’ve extended my 1 night stay into 2 months. If you’re lucky enough to find this place I’m sure you’ll love it too. I appreciate the staff, thoughtful & fair rules that make this place so quiet and clean. It’s just the right distance for those who want to visit friends or family in DFW but don’t want to live there. Oh and there are 3 RV places very close for inspections, repairs or purchasing upgrades.
Apr 23, 2024 · Jessica JamesWe stayed there from the end of Aug until Oct in 2009 Country Coach. We had to leave early due to a family emergency. Kim stayed they would honor the remaining weeks we paid for when we needed to be in the area again.I called today & the lady I spoke with stayed they didn't allow RVs over 10 years old to be there no matter the condition. And therefore I was lying about staying there. I am disputing the charges with my credit card company! That should get the owners attention since the lady today refused to ask them.
