Trojan Station RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Troy, Alabama area, Trojan Station RV Park, located at 2282 AL-87, Troy, AL 36079, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While some aspects of the park are praised, significant concerns have also been raised that potential visitors should carefully consider. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of the park's environment, services, and features, based solely on the available feedback.
One positive aspect highlighted in a review is the helpfulness of the hosts. A guest who stayed for one night mentioned, "The hosts were very helpful," indicating a positive interaction with the park's staff. This suggests that the individuals managing the park are willing to assist guests, which can contribute to a more pleasant overall experience, especially for first-time visitors or those needing assistance with setup or local information.
Cleanliness and upkeep are also mentioned as positive attributes. The same reviewer noted, "The park is clean and well kept," suggesting that the grounds and common areas are maintained to a satisfactory standard. A clean environment is important for the comfort and hygiene of all guests, and this feedback indicates that Trojan Station RV Park takes some pride in its appearance.
However, a very serious concern is raised in another review regarding the safety and security of the park. This reviewer issues a stark warning to "all families, travelers and seniors," alleging that the park has "numerous drug users and criminals." Furthermore, they claim to have experienced "thousands of dollars of stolen property and damaged to my camper while in storage at this park." The most troubling part of this review is the assertion that the "Owners are taking no responsibility for this crime while in their care." These are grave allegations that potential visitors should take very seriously and consider when evaluating Trojan Station RV Park for their stay, whether short-term or for storage purposes.
Beyond the significant safety concerns, another reviewer who stayed overnight reported issues with the park's utilities and site conditions. One specific problem encountered was "very low" water pressure, estimated at "maybe 15psig," which was deemed "Too low to shower." Adequate water pressure is essential for basic hygiene and comfort in an RV, and this feedback suggests a potential infrastructure issue that could impact other guests as well.
The same reviewer also experienced a problem with the sewer connection at their assigned site. They noted that "the sewer connection was higher than my tank outlet," making it unusable for their Class C RV (E450). As a result, they "had to pull ahead and dump at another site, in the other side, where the connection was lower." This indicates potential inconsistencies in site infrastructure and may pose challenges for RVs with specific outlet configurations. It also suggests that not all sites are equally well-designed or maintained in terms of utility connections.
Finally, the reviewer who stayed overnight also commented on the levelness of the sites. While their own "sure was fairly level," they observed that "some of the new sites don't look very well leveled out." Level sites are crucial for the proper functioning of RV appliances, comfortable sleeping, and preventing stress on the RV's frame. Uneven sites can require significant effort and equipment to level, potentially detracting from the overall experience.
Based solely on these two recent reviews, Trojan Station RV Park presents a stark contrast between helpful hosts and a clean environment on one hand, and serious allegations of criminal activity and issues with basic utilities and site conditions on the other. The claim of theft and lack of owner responsibility is particularly concerning and should weigh heavily on the decision of potential visitors.
Information regarding other services and features of Trojan Station RV Park is limited. The reviews do not mention amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, recreational areas, or specific details about the environment beyond cleanliness. Therefore, local users searching for "RV parks near me" with specific amenity requirements will need to seek this information directly from the park management.
Similarly, no promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Given the serious negative feedback regarding safety and infrastructure, any potential promotional efforts would need to address these concerns to be effective. For now, potential visitors are advised to prioritize the safety and functionality aspects based on the experiences shared by previous guests.
For local users considering Trojan Station RV Park, it is strongly recommended to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers: (334) 722-0533 or mobile phone +1 334-722-0533. When inquiring, it would be prudent to specifically ask about the park's security measures, the handling of the alleged theft incident, the current status of water pressure across different sites, and the levelness of available sites. Gathering firsthand information and potentially seeking additional recent reviews from other sources would be wise before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Trojan Station RV Park in Troy, AL, offers the potential for helpful hosts and a clean environment. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the safety and security of the park, including allegations of drug activity, theft, and a lack of owner responsibility. Additionally, issues with low water pressure and potentially unlevel sites have been reported. While the helpfulness of the hosts is a positive note, the serious negative feedback warrants extreme caution and thorough investigation by potential visitors before choosing to stay at Trojan Station RV Park. It is crucial to weigh the reported positives against the significant negatives when making a decision about "RV parks near me" in the Troy area.

Trojan Station RV Park Reviews
Beware. To all families, travelers and seniors this park has numerous drug users and criminals. With thousands of dollars of stolen property and damaged to my camper while in storage at this park. Owners are taking no responsibility for this crime while in their care.
Feb 24, 2025 · LesThe hosts were very helpful. The park is clean and well kept. I was only there for one night, but had two issues. The water pressure was very low, maybe 15psig. Too low to shower. I have an E450, Class C RV and the sewer connection was higher than my tank outlet. I had to pull ahead and dump at another site, in the other side, where the connection was lower. My sure was fairly level, but some of the new sites don't look very well leveled out.
Nov 02, 2024 · Richard AndersonSeniors and families,BEWARE. I stored my camper there and now I have a police report to prove all the items that were stolen from my camper. While talking to police I was informed of the rampant drug use in this park!! Wish I knew that sooner.
Feb 24, 2025 · BenThis is a very nice new park. It's all gravel and grass. The sites are reasonably level, but expect to level up. No bath house or laundry yet, but there are plans to add both. Super nice folks and a good place to stay. Definitely would stay there again. Nice and quiet.
Nov 25, 2023 · Steve SandersWe stayed 3/21/2024 New park good hookups no restrooms, laundry or pool. We just wanted safe quite place to stop for the night. Mathew answered the phone very polite, had a site for us. When we arrived he was waiting at the gate and showed us our site. Close enough to restaurants. It sure beats staying in a noisy unsafe parking lot. Despite no amenities we would stay here again while passing through.
