Deer Run RV Park Reviews
I am a student who attends Troy university and have stayed at Deer Run for the past four months. It has been a really good experience! The staff is very helpful and kind. The laundry room is well kept and clean and includes an area to socialize or study and a sink to wash dishes. The park is very pretty with two ponds. It is very quiet and all the campers have been very friendly. One of my favorite parts that I found near the end of my semester is that Deer Run has a social room that you can host events or just use the oven. One slight inconvenience is the wifi only really works at the bathhouse.
Dec 10, 2024 · Audrey BellBest RV Park we've ever stayed, and we have traveled all across the US. Impeccably clean grounds, so much space to walk your dog. It was quiet with wonderful and clean laundry facilities. The host was thoughtful and placed us in the best spot for having a dog.
Dec 23, 2024 · Carol CroteauVery clean and hands off place. Looked like there were some permanent guests, which out numbered the overnight guests, by far. It’s still winter, so I’m sure it fills up later, with RV travelers. The price was reasonable. No problems with the hookups. We opted out of sewer, given an overnight stay. Saved us $5
Feb 26, 2025 · Sherri WalkerOur GPS led us directly to the campground (CG) on US-231, conveniently located on the west side of Troy, AL. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. We stayed at site 60, which featured full hookups (FHUs) and a level cement pad with well-positioned utilities. Water pressure was high, so we used a reducer. The CG offers WiFi, but we couldn’t locate the guest network during our overnight stay. This wasn’t an issue, as we relied on our Starlink and T-Mobile home internet, which performed well despite just one bar on our phone. Verizon reception was also solid at three bars. The CG provides cable, which we didn’t use, but our camping friends in site 59 confirmed it worked well. The older section of the CG is shaded with mature trees, while the newer area has fewer, making it ideal for satellite users. Compared to our last visit a few years ago, the only noticeable upgrade was the addition of tiny houses near the office. The CG remains clean and well-maintained. One downside was the heavy traffic at our site from long-term residents returning from work, many of whom didn’t observe the speed limit. Deer Run also offers water and electric sites in the newer back section, which we plan to request for future short stays.
