Timbercreek RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in Springfield, Missouri? Timbercreek RV Park, located at 4219 S Nature Center Way, Springfield, MO 65804, USA, presents itself as an option for both short and long-term RV stays. Based on the available customer reviews, the park offers a convenient location and a potentially homey environment, but recent changes in management appear to be a significant factor to consider.
One reviewer describes Timbercreek RV Park as having a "great homey environment" and an "excellent location" that served their needs well. A significant advantage highlighted is its proximity to a public park, offering easy access to recreational activities and natural spaces. The park's location also boasts super convenience to main area highways, making it easily accessible and a potentially ideal base for exploring Springfield and the surrounding areas. This reviewer also noted that the management was friendly and provided a sense of security by watching out for guests and their belongings, leading to a strong recommendation for both short and long-term visits.
However, another, more recent review paints a different picture, focusing on the experience under new management. This account details difficulties encountered during an attempt to check in. After receiving a call about an open spot, the reviewer experienced a lack of response when trying to confirm the check-in time. Upon arriving at the park, they found the office closed with a sign indicating it was no longer open. While driving around the small park, they observed two open spots. A friendly individual, seemingly another camper or resident, informed them that the campground was under new management and alleged issues with double bookings and the manager's absence from the office.
This second review suggests that while Timbercreek RV Park has the potential to be a good small campground, the new management appears to be facing challenges that are impacting the guest experience. The reviewer expressed relief at not having brought their camper to the park based on this negative experience. This stark contrast between the two reviews indicates a potentially significant shift in the operational efficiency and reliability of Timbercreek RV Park due to the change in management.
Considering these contrasting perspectives, potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of the reported change in management at Timbercreek RV Park and the potential implications for their stay. While the location and the inherent environment of the park (proximity to a public park and highways) remain consistent advantages, the reliability and accessibility of management services appear to be areas of concern based on the more recent feedback.
To gain a clearer understanding of the current situation at Timbercreek RV Park, it is highly recommended that interested individuals contact the park directly at (417) 881-8001 or +1 417-881-8001. When calling, it would be prudent to inquire about the current management practices, check-in procedures, office hours, and any other concerns that may arise from the recent negative review. It would also be beneficial to ask about the specific services and features offered at the park to determine if they meet your needs.
Typical services and features of an RV park often include:
- RV sites with varying hookups (e.g., water, electricity, sewer). It is essential to confirm the type and availability of hookups at Timbercreek RV Park.
- Restroom and shower facilities. While one review mentioned "great showers," it's worth confirming their current condition and accessibility under the new management.
- Laundry facilities. The availability of on-site laundry can be a significant convenience for both short and long-term stays.
- Wi-Fi access. This is an increasingly important amenity for many travelers. Inquire about its availability and any associated costs.
- Potable water and sewage disposal. Confirm the procedures and accessibility of these essential services.
- General park amenities such as picnic tables or common areas.
- Security measures. While the earlier review mentioned friendly management watching out for belongings, it's wise to inquire about current security protocols.
The location of Timbercreek RV Park at 4219 S Nature Center Way in Springfield places it in proximity to potential attractions and conveniences. Being right beside a public park offers immediate access to outdoor recreation. The convenience to main area highways suggests ease of travel to other parts of Springfield, including shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Springfield is the third-largest city in Missouri and offers a variety of attractions such as the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, Fantastic Caverns, and the Dickerson Park Zoo.
Given the information available, it is difficult to ascertain any specific promotional information currently being offered by Timbercreek RV Park. Potential guests should inquire directly with the management about any special rates, discounts for long-term stays, or other promotions that may be available.
In conclusion, Timbercreek RV Park in Springfield, MO, offers a potentially appealing location with its proximity to a public park and major highways. While one past review praised its homey environment and friendly management, a more recent review raises concerns about the new management's operational efficiency and communication. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Springfield should consider these contrasting experiences and directly contact Timbercreek RV Park at (417) 881-8001 or +1 417-881-8001 to obtain current information about site availability, services, management practices, and any promotional offers before making a decision. Timbercreek RV Park Reviews
This place is a great homey environment and an excellent location for our needs. It’s right beside a public park. And super convenient to main area highways. The management is friendly and will watch out for you and your belongings. I would definitely recommend them for short or long term visits to Springfield.
Feb 14, 2023 · Steve MooreThis park is under new management. We got a call last night at around 8pm saying they had a spot open and we could come on over the next day. We called the lady back to see when the check in time would be and got no answer on the phone. We then decided to drive to the park to see if a spot was open. We get to the park and go to the office were we was greeted with a sign saying the office was no longer open. We then drove around the park and seen 2 spots open. A friendly man seen us driving around the small park and stopped us. He said the campgrounds was under new management and the lady that was running the place has double booked spots and doesn't ever go to the office. This campground would be a good small campground if they had better management. Im just glad we didn't hook up to our camper and drag it over to the campground.
Dec 12, 2021 · Mercedes HutsellDrove through looking for a place to stay in the future. Greeted by manager standing in front of our car asking what we were doing there. Rude and pointed to her fifth wheel (lives in the park) bragging how it's one of the nicest in the park. Stay here no way.
