Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort Introduce
For local users in Springfield, Missouri, seeking a community that offers both long-term residential options and temporary RV accommodations, Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort, located at 3731 S Glenstone Ave, presents a unique opportunity. Combining the stability of a mobile home park with the flexibility of an RV resort, this location caters to a diverse range of housing needs. While our platform primarily focuses on "RV parks near me," Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort's dual nature makes it relevant for those considering both short-term stays and longer-term residency in the Springfield area. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on available customer reviews, highlighting both the potential benefits and areas of concern for prospective residents and RVers.
The environment at Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort appears to offer a mix of residential stability and recreational potential. One reviewer describes it as a "decent place to live temporarily," suggesting a level of comfort and suitability for short-term or transitional housing. The presence of a "club house" indicates a communal space for residents to gather and potentially access amenities. However, a significant environmental aspect mentioned is the prolonged out-of-service status of the pool. This could be a drawback for those who value recreational facilities within their living environment. Additionally, the review notes that "lot rent goes up every year," which is an important consideration for long-term residents, particularly those on a fixed income, as it introduces an element of increasing cost over time. The overall environment seems to offer basic communal features, but potential issues with maintenance of recreational facilities and increasing costs should be taken into account.
Services at Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort likely cater to both mobile home residents and RV guests, though the provided reviews offer more insight into the experiences of short-term residents or RVers. The mention of a deposit system for short-term stays, where the final electric bill is deducted and a refund check is issued for the remainder, suggests a structured process for managing utilities. However, a detailed negative review outlines significant issues with the management's handling of this refund process, including delays, misinformation, and a lack of communication over an extended period. This raises concerns about the reliability and efficiency of the administrative services provided. While the initial stay was described as "really nice," the subsequent difficulties in obtaining the refund highlight potential inconsistencies in management practices. Long-term residents would also likely be concerned about the annual lot rent increases mentioned in another review, as this directly impacts the affordability of living in the park.
Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort offers the feature of combining mobile home lots for long-term residency with RV sites for temporary stays. The presence of a clubhouse suggests a communal area for social interaction and potential events. However, the prolonged unavailability of the pool is a significant drawback for a feature that is often a key amenity in residential and RV parks. The deposit and refund system for short-term stays, while seemingly standard in principle, has been reported to have significant issues in practice, as detailed in one of the reviews. The annual increase in lot rent is another key feature that impacts the long-term affordability for mobile home owners within the park. While the park may offer a convenient location in Springfield and a clubhouse for residents, the issues with pool maintenance and management communication regarding financial matters are important factors to consider.
Promotional information for Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, for local users searching for "mobile home parks near me" or "RV parks near me" in Springfield, the resort's dual offering might be seen as a benefit, providing both long-term and short-term options within the same location. Potential long-term residents should inquire about current lot rental rates and the history of annual increases to assess affordability. Short-term RV guests should inquire about the deposit and utility billing process and consider the reported issues with refunds. It would be prudent for interested parties to directly contact the management at (417) 881-0066 or +1 417-881-0066 to obtain detailed information about current rates, amenities, and management policies. Given the concerns raised in the reviews, it would be wise to seek clarification on the pool's status and the procedures for financial transactions.
The customer reviews for Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort present a somewhat conflicting picture. One review mentions it as a "decent place to live temporarily" but criticizes the delayed repair of the pool and the annual lot rent increases. This suggests a basic level of habitability but potential issues with amenities and long-term affordability. The more detailed negative review recounts a frustrating three-month ordeal to receive a deposit refund, citing poor communication, misinformation, and administrative errors. Despite an initially positive stay, this experience soured the reviewer's overall impression and highlights significant concerns about the management's handling of financial matters and communication. These reviews collectively suggest that while the park may offer a basic living space and some amenities like a clubhouse, potential residents and RVers should be aware of the reported issues with pool maintenance and management responsiveness, particularly regarding financial transactions.
For local users in Springfield, Missouri, considering "mobile home parks near me" or "RV parks near me," Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort at 3731 S Glenstone Ave offers a location with both residential and temporary options. However, it is crucial to carefully consider the feedback from previous residents and guests. The prolonged issue with the pool and the reported difficulties in dealing with management regarding financial matters are significant concerns that should be addressed with the park management directly. While the park may offer a convenient location and a clubhouse, potential residents and RVers should weigh these against the reported shortcomings in amenity maintenance and administrative efficiency before making a decision about living or staying at Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort.

Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort Reviews
Decent place to live temporarily, the club house is ok but they definitely don’t seem to be in any rush to get their pool fixed. It’s been out of service for a while. Also lot rent goes up every year causing a strain on those who have a fixed income
Jul 26, 2023 · Badger (J.D.)(previously 5 stars)I hate to leave a negative review because our stay here was actually really nice. However, I’m afraid the positives don’t extend to how the management handles business. For context, when you have a short-term stay here, your final electric bill comes out of your deposit and then you are issued a check for the remainder. (or at least you're supposed to)Timeline:6/26/24 - we had a conversation regarding our departure date, etc. I was asked to leave a Google review, which I did and was more than happy to do! (See screenshot 0)--6/30/24 - we left Ozark Highlands and our stay ended--7/1/24 - I provided management with my forwarding address for the refund check and it was confirmed. (See screenshot 1)--8/1/24 - I sent a text asking about the status of the refund--8/2/24 - Received a reply saying they were looking into it (See screenshot 2)--8/15/24 - I asked about the status again and said if it hadn’t been sent, they could hold off as I was coming back to the area and could just swing by for it.--8/16/24 - I received a reply from management indicating that they were still looking into it and hoped to have an update soon. (See screenshot 3)--8/18/24 - I physically went to the management office where I was told a huge story about how one of their software systems had an error and this held up a lot of checks that went out, including mine. I get it, stuff happens…I was understanding and told them no biggie. They also told me that they’d try to just Fedex the check to me there at the park that week, instead of it going to my forwarding address. Also, due to an error* on their end, there were now two separate checks.*simply put, they left the previous tenant’s electric usage on my bill. So they were going to have to refund that separately.--8/23/24 - The day I was set to leave the area again, I circled back to see if they were indeed able to re-route the check to me here. I was ignored. (See screenshot 4)--8/30/24 - I asked about the status of the check and was told they were looking into it. (See screenshot 5)--9/3/24—9/10/24 - After not hearing anything back, I once again inquired about the status. I was told it had been resent and the address was confirmed. I asked for them to clarify which one had been sent and if there was tracking information. I was ignored.6 days later, I let them know that I still hadn’t received them and asked if they could track them. I was told this wasn’t possible.I asked to verify the date they were sent and was ignored.(See screenshot 6)--9/12/24 - I told them that I’m getting tired of chasing their lies and were giving them the opportunity to do the right thing before I update my review. (See screenshot 7)Less than one hour after sending this message, I got a call from someone else in the management office. This was their version of what happened:Apparently someone in the company had been stealing from the company and my check was part of what had been stolen. On top of that, they sent the check to the park rather than my forwarding address because “I had never sent them my forwarding address” (omg see screenshots 1 and 6). On top of that, they had a completely different number for the total and I had to walk them through the errors management had made in order to get the correct total. (Mind you, I sat in the management office on 8/18/24 where all this was allegedly sorted out)So after multiple phone calls on this same day, everything got straightened out and this person told me the payment had been approved (weird how it was just now getting approved despite the fact that it had already allegedly been sent out multiple times)I was told I would receive the check in 7-14 days.“Corporate”, who actually issues the checks, had approved the amount and were going to send the check on 9/19/24(Screenshot 8 shows the call log)--So as of updating this review, we are 18 days past when I was told 7-14 days. But worse than that, we’re over 3 months after I left the place and I still don’t have a refund.
Sep 30, 2024 · Jeff BattertonDecent place in Springfield! We’ve stayed here twice since our daughter lives in Springfield. Our most recent visit we arrived after office hours and our reservation info was on their board. We go to what was suppose to be our assigned spot and couldn’t believe they wanted us to park in that spot. We did try but unable to even get in the spot due to our scooter hitch! Since we’d been here before we knew there was a lot on back end of property so we just went down there for our visit! No other issues! Seems pretty quiet for being in a city. Decent shower house. Lots of stores/restaurants convenient around the park.
Nov 28, 2018 · Rachel PfeifferI have a friend who lives there. When we camped there, we couldn't get any help repairing the water hook-up so my husband had to pay to repair their system. The residents there have no-support on weekends no matter what happens with trees, water supply or sewers.
Apr 07, 2025 · Rachel HugheyThis place is a hidden gem! I've lived here for 10 years and couldn't be happier. We're like a little community of our own within the community of Springfield. I've "survived" several management changes, and honestly, life DOES go on. Our current management team is responsive, friendly and helpful. I've seen them encouraging greater community involvement from us as residents and view this as a plus! And.........where else can you live that you can WALK to your local WalMart? (In A BIG shopping center directly south of the park and yes, within walking distance!) I'm looking forward to many more years here.
