If you are searching for "RV parks near me" that might also provide insights into long-term housing options such as mobile home parks, it's important to consider all available information when making your decision. While our platform primarily focuses on RV parks, we understand that users may also be interested in nearby mobile home communities. This overview provides publicly available information regarding English Village Mobile Home Community, located at 16 English Village Park, Nixa, MO 65714, USA.
English Village Mobile Home Community is situated in Nixa, Missouri. Nixa is a city in Christian County, located in the southwestern part of the state, within the Springfield metropolitan area. The area offers a mix of suburban and rural characteristics, with access to amenities in Springfield while maintaining a smaller community feel. Mobile home communities in such locations can provide an affordable housing option for individuals and families seeking long-term residency.
When considering a mobile home park for long-term living, the environment and overall upkeep of the community are significant factors. Based on recent customer reviews, English Village Mobile Home Community appears to be undergoing a period of transition and varying resident experiences. One long-term resident of five years expressed serious concerns about the current management and the state of the property. This review mentions issues such as receiving a violation notice for yard maintenance despite having a regular lawn service, suggesting potential inconsistencies or unfair enforcement of community rules. The reviewer also describes a lack of visible maintenance personnel addressing overgrown grass and general upkeep of both occupied and vacant properties. Furthermore, concerns were raised about the safety and family-friendliness of the park due to the admission of individuals who have allegedly threatened other residents, with the management reportedly not intervening.
The services and features of a mobile home community typically include basic infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for each lot. Some communities may also offer amenities like trash removal, common area maintenance, and recreational facilities. According to one review, the swimming pool at English Village Mobile Home Community was reportedly in poor condition ("green and disgusting") during the summer, leading to health concerns for residents who used it. The lack of consistent maintenance of the grounds, as mentioned by a resident, suggests potential shortcomings in the expected services. The review also indicates concerns about rising rent without a corresponding improvement in the upkeep or safety of the community.
However, another review offers a contrasting perspective, stating that the "current property manger is awesome and is trying to get the park back in shape." This suggests that efforts are being made to improve the community under new management. The reviewer expresses optimism and encourages the manager, Cheyenne, indicating that her efforts are being noticed. This conflicting feedback highlights a period of potential change and improvement within the community, but also underscores the need for prospective residents to gather current and comprehensive information.
Features that residents often value in a mobile home community include responsive management, well-maintained common areas, and a sense of safety and community. The negative review points to a perceived lack of consistent management presence and responsiveness, with claims that the park manager is "hardly ever" in the office and doesn't consistently address residents' questions. The concerns about safety and the admission of individuals who allegedly pose a threat to others in the park are significant and would be important for potential residents to investigate. On the other hand, the positive review suggests that the new manager is actively working to improve the park's condition, which could lead to a more positive living experience in the future.
Information regarding specific promotional offers for English Village Mobile Home Community is not available in the provided reviews. It is common for mobile home parks to offer incentives such as reduced lot rental fees for a certain period or special terms on available mobile homes within the community. To learn about any current promotions, prospective residents should contact the park directly at (417) 248-3113 or +1 417-248-3113. Inquiring about the current rental rates, security deposit requirements, and any special offers will be crucial for making an informed decision.
Given the mixed feedback from residents, individuals considering English Village Mobile Home Community should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This may involve visiting the community in person to assess the current conditions, speaking with current residents to get a range of perspectives, and inquiring about the management's plans for addressing the concerns raised in the negative review. It would also be prudent to ask about security measures and community rules to ensure a clear understanding of the living environment. While one review expresses optimism about the new management's efforts, it is important for prospective residents to verify the current state of the community and the progress of any improvements.

English Village Mobile Home Community Reviews
I’ve lived here for 5 years and never been bothered yesterday I got a violation for my yard when in fact I have a yard guy coming to clean my lot up every other week. Cheyenne Is the new park manager here and she is absolutely awful. There are tons of other properties that have overgrown grass trash appliances crap all over the yard. She doesn’t even come in office hardly ever. This summer I took my girls swimming and the pool was green and disgusting that we left. My sister swam and it caused infection I will not be targeted for absolutely no reason We are supposed to have maintenance people here keeping up the grounds and we don’t even get that yet. They keep raising rent. I have never seen one maintenance guy since she has taken over come over this way like I said yards are overgrown and everything vacant houses their yards are overgrown. They have let anybody and everybody in this park, making it unsafe and very un family friendly they’ve kept a gentleman in this park even though he’s Threatened many people in the park they just sat back and let it happen. We need a manager that’s gonna be here for the community someone who will turn this trailer park back into a mobile home community someone who where safe for our children. We need a Monday-Friday manager that’s doesn’t pick and choose who’s questions she answers.

Feb 19, 2025 · Ashley OldakerA corporation owns this park, therefore it is ran with no money put into the park, except to put more homes in here.Other parks locally owned, offer trash, sewer, water and yard. The pool is always being worked and never opened.Since I bought my home here they have raised lot rent 3 times in 3 years yet, nothing is offered in return. I am looking to move my home as soon as possible.Just a word of caution to anyone wanting to reside here.DON'T MOVE HERE!!
Dec 14, 2024 · SaraDO NOT MOVE HERE!!! My boyfriend and I rented a trailor from this park. We had no issues until Brian I believe, and amber were in office. We were evicted without any notice. A sheriff arrived at our door and gave us 2 hours to pack our belongings and leave. We just woke up. Next thing you know amber’s family is in the trailor and we have an eviction on our record. How is this fair, and safe for people and their families. We lost our home. This trailor park needs a manager who knows exactly what there doing and to help the people. Our experience here was very unpleasant and now we can’t even have a home due to the eviction. To ANYONE wanting to live in this trailor park, be warned you’ll get evicted for nothing.
Oct 03, 2024 · Madalyn GraceMy neighbors sewer line either burst or wasn't ever connected and her sewage from her toilet runs down my driveway into the road and this summer has stunk up my yard, the inside of my car, and her yard on top of that the kids play out on the street and get into that raw sewage everytime they flush there comes more running down my driveway now you might ask why are the kids playing in the street, well the "park" they have here for kids to play at has only a metal slide, no swings, nothing more than 1 solid metal slide there is a picnick table there but the boards have rotted out so you can't even sit there either. Our mailboxes got knocked down and sat there for 3 days and nobody came to fix them so nobody got thier mail for 3 days until my husband took it upon himself to fix it for the management and maintenence people. Speaking of maintenence people when you call them to fix something you get told " I will get to it when I get to it " for my neighbor on my other side, she waited all summer for them to fix her A.C. unit and they never did so when she with held rent they evicted her instead of fixing the problem, which by the way left her and her children with the option to bake in her house at well over 110 degrees inside her home or sit outside in the 90 plus degrees heat. The new manager, whom I haven't ever met and I have lived here with my children and husband for over 14 years decided to violate us for a small gazebo we were constructing because we didn't have a licensed professional building it, now mind you this is a small gazebo you buy from home depot with the instructions for you to build it yourself. The manager also charged me $50 for that violation and demanded it paid that same day now after having spent a pretty penny on my lot rent having to come up with that extra $50 at the last minute cost me more than anyone knows considering we are a 1 income family and we could have used that for my children instead of her greed. Also in the 14 years I have lived here it's never been in our lease agreement that we could not specifically have a gazebo. Now I'm sorry but with the prices we pay here we should be getting better amenities such as free trash service and lawn mowing, and don't get me started on the pool, the pool that was only open 1 month this summer but yet we pay to use it, even though its not nessisary to clean your body before going swimming you can just jump in dirty butt and all at least thats what Ive seen people here do, which is why me and my family dont use the community bathtub.... i mean pool. Oh and did I mention that we have a basket ball court, it's delapidated and run down so no one can actually use it, but yes there is one here. Also people speed through here knowing there are children of all ages usually outside playing but no one still slows down and I've only seen 2 signs saying the limit in the trailer court is 10 mph so more signs might help, honestly I don't know how people can drive fast through here the roads are so bad with holes all throughout and broken speedbumps.we also aren't allowed to have outsode toys in our yards for our kids to play with, but yet other people can have trash built up all over thier yards ( ive seen a neighbor with totes full of clothes rotting outside sitting in thier backyard since they moved in a year ago) at least the kids play with the toys!
