Tradewinds RV Park

239 Lincoln Rd W, Vallejo, CA 94590, USA

3.0
Small RV park in a less than desirable area in Vallejo. You MUST make on line request for reservations even for an over night stay. The office is staffed , but for minimal and somewhat unpredictable hours. Office staff has no access to make reservations or even to provide bathroom lock codes. When we arrived the staff said we should have received our site number in the confirmation email, which we received but it did not include site. We emailed for bathroom codes and did receive those relatively quickly. Surprisingly, the bathrooms were clean. There are not many short term RV parks in the bay area, and we have not yet found one that is desirable. If you need an overnight stay, Tradewinds is OK, but if you can stay further out, you may be better off - Scott Behan

Tradewinds RV Park Introduce

Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Vallejo, California area? Tradewinds RV Park, located at 239 Lincoln Rd W, Vallejo, CA 94590, USA, is a small RV park that appears to primarily cater to short-term or overnight stays. You can contact them at (707) 643-4000 or +1 707-643-4000 for inquiries.

Based on recent customer reviews, it's important for potential guests to be aware of several aspects of Tradewinds RV Park before making a reservation. One reviewer described the park as being in "a less than desirable area in Vallejo." This suggests that the surrounding environment might not be the most appealing, which could be a factor for those who prioritize the neighborhood's ambiance and safety.

The reservation process at Tradewinds RV Park has also been highlighted. According to one review, "You MUST make on line request for reservations even for an over night stay." This mandatory online reservation system, even for short stays, is a crucial piece of information for travelers planning to stay at this park. Additionally, the same reviewer noted that "The office is staffed , but for minimal and somewhat unpredictable hours." This limited and unpredictable office availability could pose challenges for check-in, inquiries, or assistance during your stay.

Further complicating matters, the review mentioned that "Office staff has no access to make reservations or even to provide bathroom lock codes." This lack of functionality for on-site staff could lead to inconvenience for guests. The reviewer's experience upon arrival, where they were told their site number should have been in the confirmation email (but wasn't), and the need to email for bathroom codes, illustrates potential communication and logistical issues.

On a more positive note, the same reviewer did mention that "Surprisingly, the bathrooms were clean." Cleanliness of restrooms is a significant factor for RV park users, so this is a notable positive aspect reported by at least one guest.

Another reviewer who stayed overnight offered a cautious assessment, stating, "There are not many short term RV parks in the bay area, and we have not yet found one that is desirable. If you need an overnight stay, Tradewinds is OK, but if you can stay further out, you may be better off." This suggests that while Tradewinds might suffice for a brief stopover due to limited alternatives in the area, it may not offer a particularly enjoyable or desirable experience compared to parks located further away from the immediate bay area.

A particularly concerning review details a significant security incident and subsequent issues with the park's management response. This former guest reported that their trailer was broken into and later stolen from the park. Their account raises serious questions about security measures and the responsiveness of the staff and management in handling such incidents. The reviewer described difficulties in obtaining security video footage from the office, rude behavior from the office assistant, and an unprofessional interaction with the maintenance personnel when attempting to follow up on the situation.

The timeline of events shared by this reviewer indicates a lack of proactive communication and support from the management following the theft of their trailer. The fact that a neighbor reported suspicious activity involving the trailer being loaded into a vehicle, but the office allegedly dismissed it without investigation, is particularly troubling. The reviewer's repeated attempts to contact the management for updates and to discuss the situation were reportedly met with rudeness and a lack of assistance from the office staff.

The reviewer's disappointment is not solely focused on the theft itself but rather on the perceived lack of support and unprofessional conduct of the staff and management in the aftermath. The mention of a letter distributed to residents advising them to put Apple tags in their RVs, after the reviewer's tagged trailer was stolen and the tag found disabled nearby, suggests a reactive rather than proactive approach to security.

The experiences shared in these reviews paint a picture of an RV park with potential logistical challenges, a less than ideal location, limited office hours and staff capabilities, and, in at least one instance, significant concerns regarding security and management response to serious incidents. While the cleanliness of the bathrooms was noted as a positive, the overall impression suggests that potential guests should proceed with caution and be well-informed before choosing to stay at Tradewinds RV Park.

Considering the "RV parks near me" category, Tradewinds RV Park appears to offer basic RV parking for short-term stays. However, the lack of desirable features mentioned in the reviews, coupled with the serious security incident and reported management issues, suggest that amenities and services might be limited, and the overall guest experience could be less than satisfactory.

Based on the available information, potential services and features at Tradewinds RV Park might include:

  • RV parking sites with hookups (though not explicitly detailed in the reviews).
  • Clean bathrooms (as reported by one reviewer).
  • A small laundry facility (not mentioned in the reviews, but common in RV parks).
  • Limited and unpredictable office hours.
  • Mandatory online reservations, even for overnight stays.

Given the concerns raised in the customer reviews, it is strongly recommended that individuals considering Tradewinds RV Park for their RV stay in Vallejo, CA, take the following steps:

  • Carefully consider the location and surrounding area.
  • Be prepared to make reservations online, even for short stays.
  • Anticipate limited office hours and potential difficulties in contacting staff on-site.
  • Inquire specifically about security measures in place at the park.
  • If staying for more than a night, consider alternative RV parks in the wider bay area, as suggested by one reviewer.
  • If you have any concerns about the age or type of your RV, or specific needs, contact the park in advance to ensure they can accommodate you.

Tradewinds RV Park, located at 239 Lincoln Rd W, Vallejo, CA 94590, offers a basic option for RV parking in the area. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported drawbacks, including the location, limited office services, mandatory online reservations, and significant concerns regarding security and management responsiveness. Thorough consideration of these factors is crucial before deciding to stay at this park.
