Travelers Campground, located at 17701 April Blvd, Alachua, FL 32615, USA, appears to be a delightful and unique destination based on the enthusiastic reviews from its guests. This campground stands out for its exceptional cleanliness, convenient services, animal-friendly policies, and even a free petting zoo featuring rescue animals, making it a compelling choice for both overnight stays and long-term rentals.
One of the first things that guests rave about is the convenience offered at Travelers Campground. One reviewer recounted arriving after midnight and being able to reserve and stay the same night after hours, highlighting the park's flexibility and accessibility for late arrivals. This is a significant benefit for travelers on the road who may not always adhere to strict check-in times. Knowing that a comfortable and safe place to stay is available even late at night provides considerable peace of mind.
Cleanliness is another aspect where Travelers Campground consistently receives high marks. The same late-arriving guest specifically mentioned that "The bath houses were absolutely sparkling clean." This is a crucial factor for many RV travelers, and the emphasis on cleanliness suggests a well-maintained and cared-for facility. Clean restrooms and showers contribute significantly to a positive overall camping experience.
Ease of access is also noted as a positive feature, with the reviewer stating, "It was so easy to get in and out of the park." This is particularly important for RVs, which can be large and challenging to maneuver in tight spaces. Easy ingress and egress reduce stress and make the arrival and departure process smooth and efficient.
Perhaps one of the most unique and heartwarming features of Travelers Campground is its animal-friendly environment. The reviewer mentioned loving "the animals," and another guest elaborated on this by highlighting that the park is "Pet friendly" and even has "a dog wash station." This is a fantastic amenity for RVers traveling with pets, making it easy to keep their furry companions clean and comfortable. The presence of a dog wash station demonstrates a thoughtful consideration for pet owners.
Adding an extraordinary touch, Travelers Campground boasts "the bonus is the free petting zoo of rescue animals." This is a truly unique feature that sets it apart from many other RV parks. The fact that these are rescue animals adds an element of compassion and allows guests to interact with and support a good cause. Furthermore, the park generously "provide free food for your little kids to feed and pet them," making it an especially engaging and memorable experience for families with young children.
Beyond the animal interactions, Travelers Campground also offers opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings. One guest mentioned that it's an "Amazing place to watch the sun come up and take a walk on 3 different trails/roads they have." This suggests a peaceful and scenic environment with designated areas for walking and enjoying the outdoors. Having multiple trails or roads for leisurely strolls allows guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Alachua area.
The staff at Travelers Campground are also consistently praised for their excellent service. One reviewer described them as "Very nice and kind staff always willing to help you!" Apr 03, 2025 · Kelly FormanTravelers campground was so conveniently located off the highway, very well maintained and such a cool place to stay. I loved their wildlife preserve. It was so nice to enjoy a walk in the morning and see the donkeys, miniature horses, chickens, and even a cow that they have on the property. Staff was very nice and so easy to work with over the phone, they offer discounts for AAA account holders along with other discounted rates opportunities. Overall a very organized operation.
Feb 10, 2025 · lexi scottCampground is very convenient, right off the highway, But very over priced to pull off the road at530pm and leave early am. $89.10 with a military discount. We were told oh rates are higher because of the races, but after reading reviews I see other people were told, it's peak season and rates are higher because it's football weekend, I feel they are taking advantage of people because of the situation they pull off the highway tired and do not want to keep going. Sad because this could of been a yearly convenient stop for us.
