Twin Lakes RV Resort Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" that offer more than just a place to park, Twin Lakes RV Resort, located at 19230 Morris Ave, Manvel, TX 77578, USA, presents a distinctive opportunity. This resort combines the convenience of an RV park with the recreational appeal of a natural swimming lake, creating a unique destination for families and individuals alike.
Twin Lakes RV Resort is situated in Manvel, Texas, offering a peaceful retreat while still being within reasonable driving distance of the Houston metropolitan area. This location provides a blend of a relaxed, outdoor environment with accessibility to urban amenities and attractions. The standout feature of Twin Lakes RV Resort is its beautiful open water swimming lake, which has garnered positive feedback from local users seeking a refreshing escape. One long-term visitor has enjoyed open water swimming here every Sunday morning during the warmer months for the past decade, highlighting its appeal for serious swimmers.
Beyond its reputation as a swimming destination, Twin Lakes RV Resort also caters to families looking for a fun day out. Reviews emphasize the cleanliness of the area and the clear, blue waters of the lake, making it an inviting spot for swimming and enjoying quality time together. The resort offers an affordable day-use option, with an entry fee of $11 for adults and $5 per child (with children aged two and under entering for free, according to one review). This pricing makes it an accessible option for local families seeking outdoor recreation.
For those planning a gathering, Twin Lakes RV Resort provides the option to rent pavilions, which are essentially covered picnic table areas. These rentals are available for a nominal fee of $10, offering a designated space for families or groups to set up and enjoy their day. Additionally, life jackets can be rented for $10, with a $5 late fee if not returned by 5 pm, ensuring the safety of swimmers while also promoting responsible use of equipment.
It is important for potential visitors to be aware of the resort's policies, as mentioned in one of the reviews. Twin Lakes RV Resort maintains a family-friendly atmosphere by prohibiting alcohol, glass containers, and pets on the premises. These rules are likely in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and to preserve the cleanliness of the environment. While pet owners will need to make alternative arrangements for their furry companions, this policy contributes to a clean and potentially safer environment for swimming and other activities.
Safety is also a consideration at the lake, as there are no lifeguards on duty. Visitors are advised that swimming is at their own risk, emphasizing the importance of caution and parental supervision, especially for children. The clear water, while inviting, requires swimmers to be responsible for their own safety and the safety of those in their care.
While the provided information focuses heavily on the lake and day-use aspects, the name "Twin Lakes RV Resort" implies that RV accommodations are also available. However, the reviews do not offer specific details about the RV sites themselves, such as the number of sites, hookup availability (water, electricity, sewer), or other typical RV park amenities like restrooms, showers, or laundry facilities. Local users interested in staying overnight in their RVs should contact the resort directly at (832) 720-5340 or +1 832-720-5340 to inquire about the availability, pricing, and features of their RV sites.
The positive feedback regarding the management and owners, who are appreciated for their service and for keeping prices low for the open water swimmers, suggests a commitment to providing value and a positive experience for their visitors. This bodes well for potential RV guests as well, indicating a customer-focused approach.
In summary, Twin Lakes RV Resort offers a unique blend of RV parking (though details are limited in the provided information) and a significant recreational amenity: a clean and inviting swimming lake. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" that provide a family-friendly environment with opportunities for open water swimming and lakeside relaxation, Twin Lakes RV Resort in Manvel, TX, is worth considering. Twin Lakes RV Resort Reviews
Nice place for open water swimming. Already enjoying for 10 years every Sunday mornings during the late spring, summer and early fall. Highly recommended place for pro swimmers. The management and owners, we appreciate your service and keeping the prices low for us.
Sep 08, 2024 · Steve RichmonThis is a very clean and fun place to hang out with the family!!! The water is clear and blue! When we went the water was cold at first but warmed up and was absolutely fun swimming and jumping in! It’s an $11 for adults and I believe 2 and under are free $5 per kid and you’re able to rent a pavilion which is basically covered picnic tables $10 rental for life jackets as well must return by 5pm or will be charged a $5 late fee. There is a paper they give you that states the rules such as no alcohol, no glass, no pets, etc but overall it’s a really cool and nice place for your family to hang out and be!!! No lifeguard on duty must swim at own risk as well.
Mar 16, 2025 · Lani KalahikiThis place is absolutely great for long-term camping! Our daughter stayed here in our RV while going to U of H during the spring semester this year (soooo much cheaper than apartment costs). 23 miles from campus and within minutes of any food or shopping she needed. The Rv park itself was quiet, and her neighbors were great and helpful when she needed them! The owner was easy to work with and quick to take care of anything we had an issue with! This is definitely a park we will be looking to come back to for her future semesters of schooling!
May 11, 2024 · Myrna TalasekReview from August 2024:We went on a Saturday early morning and enjoyed arriving at a very calm atmosphere. However with a few hours it started to get busy and we noticed that a shirtless man in the group next to us had a gun showing hanging on his belt. In the paper of rules that they gave us upon entry, I don't remember seeing anything about guns being prohibited so we'd really appreciate that being added and emphasized before entry. It was very worrisome to experience this and we hope it's taken seriously.Original review in 2021:Went today for the first time and really enjoyed it! We'll definitely be back. It was pretty empty, only 2 other groups when we showed up at 10 am but the gate was closed and there was no one. We just put our money in the pay box and walked over to our spot. At around 11:30 an employee came up to us & told us the gate was now open and we could bring our car to our spot. At around 3 more people started showing up but even then there was plenty of distance between each group and a very calm vibe overall. Loved it!
Aug 27, 2024 · Rebe SlsListen to the bad reviews they are correct. save your money and go somewhere else. Workers are extremely rude young adults/teenagers that are unprofessional. Every single worker we encountered was rude. They were about to close so we started putting our stuff up and workers kept on coming and bugging us even tho it was obvious that we were already getting ready to go because they saw us putting everything up. Had 1 African male security just sit there and stare at us with a mad face, and 2 Hispanic males speeding every time they would pass us up in an attempt to intimidate us. Definitely not going back ever again and would recommend you go somewhere else , there are way better places out there that don’t condone these type of behaviors and are actually kind and professional.
