Victorian Acres RV Park Introduce
For local RV travelers seeking "rv parks near me" in the Nebraska City, Nebraska area, Victorian Acres RV Park, located at 6591 NE-2, Nebraska City, NE 68410, offers a seemingly well-maintained environment. You can contact them at (402) 873-6866 or +1 402-873-6866. However, it is crucial for prospective visitors to be aware that recent customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the park's management and operational responsiveness, which could significantly impact the overall guest experience.
One reviewer described the RV park as "ok" and "well kept," indicating that the physical appearance and maintenance of the grounds are satisfactory. This suggests that Victorian Acres RV Park may offer an aesthetically pleasing and orderly environment for camping. However, this positive aspect is starkly contrasted by the reviewer's strong criticism of the host, who is described as "terrible and rude." The specific example provided, "If your dog squats you squat," illustrates a seemingly confrontational and unwelcoming attitude towards guests, particularly pet owners. The reviewer also advised the host to "please take a course in customer service" and mentioned being reminded of park rules such as the speed limit and breaking down cardboard boxes, along with multiple calls inquiring about their arrival status. These interactions suggest a potentially overbearing and micromanaging approach from the host, which could create a stressful atmosphere for visitors.
Another reviewer recounted a particularly frustrating and stressful experience upon arrival. They appreciated the "no check in at the office" system, where guests simply grab a map and head to their site. However, upon reaching their assigned site, they discovered that their power was being used by a neighbor parked in a removed, supposedly vacant spot. Despite multiple attempts to contact the office by phone and leaving voicemails as instructed, the staff remained unreachable. This lack of responsiveness left the guest, a mother traveling alone with two children, in a precarious situation as they were not prepared for dry camping and both electrical hookups at their site were being utilized by someone else.
This guest was forced to relocate to an empty, unconfirmed site and expressed concern about it being reserved. They also noted that their assigned site was uneven and that electric heaters/fireplaces were not allowed (a minor point but indicative of potential restrictions). The distance to the bathrooms unless walking through other campsites was also mentioned as an inconvenience, leading them to avoid using the facilities. Additionally, they reported seeing wild animals, possibly raccoons, near the campsites at night. While the playground was noted as pleasant, they were unable to use it due to the issues at their site.
This detailed account raises serious concerns about the park's operational management, including the lack of oversight regarding who is parked where and the inability to reach staff in case of urgent issues. The fact that a resident was apparently occupying a "removed spot" and utilizing another guest's power without the park's apparent knowledge is particularly troubling. The lack of response to multiple calls and voicemails further highlights a significant breakdown in communication and support for guests experiencing problems.
Despite these significant issues, the second reviewer did acknowledge that the "park was clean," echoing the first reviewer's observation about the park being "well kept." This suggests that the maintenance of the physical grounds is a positive aspect of Victorian Acres RV Park. The "pleasant" playground is another potential amenity for families traveling with children, although the reviewer's experience prevented them from fully utilizing it.
Based on these two detailed reviews, the environment of Victorian Acres RV Park appears to be clean and orderly. The presence of trees (mentioned in the context of wild animals scurrying back to them) suggests some natural landscaping. However, specific details about the size and layout of the sites, the presence of communal areas beyond the playground, or any unique environmental features are not provided. The unevenness of at least one site is noted, which could be a factor for some RVers in terms of leveling their rigs.
In terms of services and features, the park offers electrical hookups at the sites. The availability of water and sewer hookups is implied but not explicitly stated. Bathrooms are present, although their location relative to some sites might be inconvenient. A playground is available for children. There is no mention of laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a camp store, or specific recreational amenities. The rule against using electric heaters/fireplaces is a notable restriction.
Promotional information is absent in the provided reviews. There are no mentions of rates, special offers, seasonal packages, or any unique selling points that Victorian Acres RV Park might use to attract visitors. The lack of such information, combined with the negative feedback regarding management and operational issues, makes it challenging to assess the overall value proposition of this RV park for local users.
For local RV travelers considering Victorian Acres RV Park based on its location in Nebraska City, the key takeaways from the available reviews are:
- The park is reported to be clean and well-kept.
- A playground is available.
- The "no check in at the office" system might be convenient for arrivals.
- Significant concerns exist regarding the host's rudeness and micromanaging behavior.
- There are serious issues with staff unreachability and lack of support when problems arise at the site.
- Oversight of site occupancy and utility usage appears to be lacking.
- At least one site was uneven.
- Electric heaters/fireplaces are reportedly not allowed.
- Bathrooms may be inconveniently located for some sites.
- Wild animals (possibly raccoons) may be present at night.
Given these points, local users searching for "rv parks near me" should weigh the reported cleanliness of the park against the potentially negative interactions with the management and the risk of encountering operational issues with limited support. The stressful experience of a guest traveling alone with children and the inability to resolve a basic utility problem are particularly concerning.
Prospective visitors are strongly advised to contact Victorian Acres RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about current policies, site availability, and the park's procedures for handling guest issues and ensuring site integrity. Asking specific questions about management presence, after-hours support, and the allocation of utilities to sites would be prudent. Seeking additional reviews from other sources might also provide a more comprehensive picture of the typical guest experience at Victorian Acres RV Park.
In conclusion, while Victorian Acres RV Park in Nebraska City, NE, appears to maintain a clean and orderly environment, significant concerns regarding the host's demeanor and the park's operational responsiveness warrant serious consideration by local RV travelers. The potential for a stressful and unsupported experience, as highlighted in the detailed review, should not be overlooked. Local users should proceed with caution and conduct thorough due diligence before choosing to stay at Victorian Acres RV Park.

Victorian Acres RV Park Reviews
Ok rv park well kept the host is terrible and rude. “If your dog squats you squat” please take a course in customer service. She will make sure you know the park speed limit and to break down your cardboard boxes. She also called twice to find out when we would arrive and if we were already at the park.
Oct 04, 2024 · HollySomeone was parked in a vacant spot closest and using my sites power, but the staff was unreachable.I'm hoping my experience was was a fluke, but gosh darn it was it stressful! After I booked they called to give me directions and instructions. There is no check in at the office, just grab a map and head to your site, LOVE THAT.We arrived right before 5, grabbed our map, went to our site, started to unhook.... realized our power was being used by our neighbor (who was in a removed spot!) Checked around, examined all options for hookups, and yep they were in a removed site and using the power to our site. I let my kids use the bathroom while I called the office multiple times. They said if I called to call, leave a voice mail, and they would get back to me........they did Not.... (even still)I called multiple times, left multiple voice-mails, and I had No idea what to do. We weren't set up for dry camping. But our electric on both sides were being used.I eventually closed up everything, packed up my kids and relocated to an empty site and prayed it was not reserved by another guest. The site was uneven, and you aren't allowed to use your electric heater/fireplace (which isn't an issue, just notable)They have bathrooms but they are a distance unless you walk through the sites, so we avoided the bathroom. Same for the dumpsters. At night there are wild animals that scurry back to the trees when you open your door (raccoons I think). The park was clean, and the playground was pleasant (though we weren't able to use it much because we were dealing with the problems at our site.Anyways. As a mom traveling with 2 kids alone, I have enough to worry about, then the issue of not getting ahold of the staff if there's an issue with the site. Plus the fact they did not know they had a resident in a removed site is highly concerning.... but again I hope my experience was just a fluke. With a little bit of effort this location could be amazing.
Oct 16, 2024 · Home Everyday Love & PositivityThis is a beautiful RV park and very well maintained. Sites are fair sized. Lots of green space and new playground equipment, nice dog park and quiet
Jul 23, 2024 · Hebrews 12:2†Wonderful spacious clean welcoming place! This is the kind of RV Park I would want to own. Well groomed. Nice dog park and laundry. Friendly staff led us to our spots with their golf cart. Quiet pace for good sleep yet convenient to highway for travel. We highly recommend this place!
Jun 21, 2021 · Julie PhillipsVictorian acres is very beautiful and peaceful. They have a large dog park with plenty of shade and water. They even had a picnic table I sat at while my dog Ozzy ran around and played. He really needed that after being cooped up after driving 5 hours. It's quite scenic with lots of trees and lots of green grass as far as you can see.I would have given it 5 stars. But the price was a bit outrageous for one night and having to be out at 10 a.m.. I didn't know how much she charged my card until I checked my account the next morning. For one adult and a dog it was almost $50 .
