Schreier's On Shetek Campground Introduce
For local users in Minnesota searching for "camping near me," Schreier's On Shetek Campground, located at 35 Resort Rd, Currie, MN 56123, USA, presents itself as a potentially exceptional destination for a tranquil and nature-filled camping experience. Situated near the beautiful Lake Shetek, this campground can be contacted via phone at (507) 227-7754 or mobile at +1 507-227-7754. Based on the available reviews, Schreier's On Shetek Campground is lauded for its stunning natural beauty and peaceful ambiance.
The environment of Schreier's On Shetek Campground is consistently described in glowing terms. One reviewer exclaimed, "Wooow! This place is stunning!" This immediately conveys the exceptional scenic quality of the property. The mention of "so much nature" further emphasizes the immersive outdoor experience that campers can expect. It's portrayed as a "peaceful place to relax and stroll," suggesting a serene atmosphere conducive to unwinding and enjoying leisurely walks amidst the natural surroundings. The proximity to Lake Shetek likely contributes significantly to the beauty and recreational opportunities associated with the campground.
In terms of services and features, the reviews provide some valuable insights. One visitor who stayed mid-week after Labor Day noted that the campground was relatively empty, offering a sense of privacy and tranquility. This suggests that during the shoulder seasons or mid-week, campers might experience a less crowded and more secluded environment. Another reviewer, visiting towards the end of the season, mentioned that while "most of the camping spots are seasonal," they were fortunate enough to be allowed to use an empty spot with "full hook-up" for two nights. This indicates that at least some sites offer full hook-ups, which typically include electricity, water, and sewer connections, catering to the needs of RV campers seeking these conveniences. The fact that they were accommodated with a full hook-up site even though it was the last weekend of the season speaks to the potential flexibility and hospitality of the campground management.
A recurring theme in the limited reviews is the quiet atmosphere of Schreier's On Shetek Campground. One reviewer specifically mentioned it being "very quiet" during their stay. This tranquility can be a major draw for campers looking to escape noise and enjoy the peace and serenity of nature. Combined with the stunning scenery, the quiet environment makes it an ideal place for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Given the campground's name, "Schreier's On Shetek Campground," its close association with Lake Shetek is strongly implied. Lake Shetek is the largest lake in southwest Minnesota and is a significant recreational resource, offering opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, and enjoying lakeside views. While the reviews don't explicitly detail the campground's direct access to the lake or specific lake-related amenities (such as a boat launch, swimming beach, or fishing piers), its name suggests that proximity to and potential enjoyment of the lake are key aspects of the camping experience here. Local users seeking "camping near me" with access to water-based activities should consider this connection.
The mention of "seasonal" camping spots suggests that a significant portion of the campground might be occupied by long-term or seasonal residents. However, the positive experience of the late-season visitor indicates that transient camping is also accommodated, at least during certain times of the year. It would be beneficial for potential short-term campers to inquire about the availability of non-seasonal sites and the operating schedule of the campground.
The reviews do not provide specific details regarding other amenities such as restroom facilities, shower availability, picnic tables, fire rings, or on-site activities beyond enjoying the nature and the potential access to Lake Shetek. To obtain comprehensive information about the services and features offered, local users are encouraged to contact Schreier's On Shetek Campground directly using the provided phone numbers: (507) 227-7754 or mobile +1 507-227-7754. Direct communication will yield the most accurate details about what the campground offers.
Similarly, the available reviews do not contain any information about promotional offers or discounts. Local users interested in potential deals for residents, off-season rates, or any special packages should inquire directly with the campground management. They would be the best source for the most current information on pricing and any available promotions that might enhance the value of a stay at Schreier's On Shetek Campground.
In conclusion, Schreier's On Shetek Campground appears to be a truly stunning and peaceful natural retreat for those seeking "camping near me" in the vicinity of Lake Shetek, Minnesota. The positive reviews highlight its gorgeous property and tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal place for relaxation and enjoying nature. The availability of full hook-up sites, at least on some occasions, caters to RV campers seeking convenience. While a significant portion of the campground may be seasonal, transient campers are also accommodated. To gain a complete understanding of the campground's amenities, lake access, operating schedule, and any potential promotional offers, direct contact with Schreier's On Shetek Campground is highly recommended. This will ensure a well-informed decision for local users planning their next camping adventure.

Schreier's On Shetek Campground Reviews
Wooow! This place is stunning! We were only here one night but mid-week and after Labor Day, we almost had the place to ourselves. What a gorgeous property and so much nature.. a peaceful place to relax and stroll.
Sep 18, 2024 · Julie CookOne last trip before the season ends. Most of the camping spots are seasonal, but we were allowed to pull into an empty spot with full hook-up for 2 nights as it was the last weekend they were open for the year. Very quiet while we were there.
Oct 26, 2023 · M MccormickBeautiful in the fall. Level sites. Clean laundry and game room. Lots of activities for families. Reliable utilities including wifi.
Oct 10, 2020 · Richard WildhirtWe have been to ALOT of campgrounds over the years and this is by far the nicest place we have ever been. They have so many things for ALL of the kids to do. Marcia has gone above and beyond to make our stay here amazing. The showers and restrooms are immaculate. The parks for the kids are incredible. They have mini golf, paddle boats and canoes. You can fish or go to the beach and swim. They have movie night for the kids. I just can't say enough great things. 5 stars just isnt enough.
Jul 31, 2019 · Kelly HoflockI've traveled this country for work for nearly 25 years now, and have stayed in 100s of RV Parks. Schrier's is one of our favorites. From the moment we checked in to being the last souls at the campground after the season, Joe & Marcia treated us like we belonged there. In fact, they made it very hard to leave, even though we don't like snow, cold, or ice. LOLYou'll also find that everything is kept perfectly manicured. The grounds are maintained to the highest quality, and the Owners, the Seasonal campers, as well as the weekend visitors were amazing people.I must also mention that the owner Joe runs a part-time boat towing service. LOLThat's not the case, but he sure saved me & my family from a very windy day on the water after we had engine troubles. Joe and his flat bottom Jon boat with a 25hp outboard managed to safely tow our 27' Chaparral with a big block back to the ramp and then proceeded to help us trailer the boat, and pointed me to a repair shop.To ALL the wonderful people at Schreier's, Owners & Campers, Thank You For Your Hospitality & Friendship.
