Bartlett Shores Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Bartlett, Iowa area, or perhaps a convenient and comfortable RV camping option within a reasonable distance of Omaha? Look no further than Bartlett Shores RV Park, located at 1988 Waubonsie Ave, Bartlett, IA 51654. This large park offers a welcoming environment for both short-term visitors and those seeking extended stays.
Based on feedback from fellow RV enthusiasts, Bartlett Shores boasts a number of appealing features. One recurring highlight is the spaciousness of the individual sites. Reviewers have specifically mentioned having "plenty of spaces" and "large yards," providing ample room for your RV setup and outdoor enjoyment. Site #1, in particular, was noted for its generous size.
The park is currently undergoing updates, indicating a commitment to enhancing the guest experience. While some amenities may be a work in progress, the fundamental aspects of a comfortable stay are well-regarded. Guests have found the sites to be "fairly level" and appreciate that the "utilities worked as they should." This reliability is crucial for a stress-free camping experience, especially for longer stays.
For those seeking a peaceful retreat, Bartlett Shores offers a "quiet" atmosphere where "neighbors were respectful." This tranquility allows you to truly relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. The park's location also provides opportunities to witness the "beautiful sunsets and sunrise," adding to the overall appeal of the setting.

Guests have described the "office staff" as "always friendly and helpful" and noted their prompt responses to any issues that arose. This dedication to customer service contributes significantly to a positive and comfortable stay.
While the park offers a serene and somewhat isolated setting, it also provides convenient access to urban amenities. Omaha is approximately a 30-minute drive away, making it feasible to commute for work or to enjoy the city's attractions, dining, and shopping options. One guest who stayed for three months while working in Omaha found the campground "perfect for our needs," highlighting its suitability for both leisure and work-related stays.
Nature lovers will appreciate the park's proximity to the river, although one reviewer noted that the road leading to it could be dusty. However, the potential for river access offers opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying the waterfront. It's worth noting that the local environment can experience fluctuations, as one guest mentioned occasional "flooding on the Missouri" that could affect groundwater levels and the potential for "fairly intense" storms. These are natural occurrences in the region and not necessarily reflective of the park's management or quality.

Bartlett Shores Reviews
Large park. Plenty of spaces. Updates to the park are in progress. Our spot was #1. Large yard. Only down fall was the dusty road headed to the river. Office staff was always friendly and helpful. The park is pretty isolated. Omaha is about a 30 min drive. Park was quiet. Neighbors were respectful. Sunsets and sunrise were beautiful.
Oct 28, 2024 · Cheryl HaggardWe stayed here for 3 months this summer while I was working in omaha.Campground was perfect for our needs, staff was friendly and responded promptly to issues. Sites were large fairly level and utilities worked as they should. There are limited amenities on site but they are a work in progress and hopefully we return to the area sometime in the future so we can see them completed.Only reason for 4 stars was mother nature! Flooding on the Missouri pushed ground water up on our side causing slight flooding and the storms can be fairly intense.
Sep 13, 2024 · James WilkinsIf you want quiet and remote, look no further than this place is literally in the middle of nowhere. There was no campsite host and I couldn’t find the dumpster for trash disposal. As far as restrooms, there was only a portable-john from what I could tell. If you aren’t well-equipped, this place is not for you. However, it was quiet and the morning sunrise was unbeatable. Probably wouldn’t stay here again because there was no amenities whatsoever other than electric, sewer and water.
Jun 08, 2024 · Rosie “Posie” PettitI stayed in a shipping container home for a month. I was to stay a bit longer but decided to leave. They had a ton of problems with plumbing and electrical tripping. Windows are not sealed so wind comes un strong through them and makes it hard to regulate temperatures. If someone smokes outside it comes in the unit and fills it. So they didnt seal or put these together properly. They were quick to fix things except once when their generator stopped working and I had no use of water of the toilet for a day that I had to go to a hotel as the pipes flooded under the toilet. The toilet water does go under the shower and up the drain into the shower every time you flush the toilet, which is disgusting and incredibly unsanitary. I mentioned it and they didn't seem to care. Water is very dirty. I was told the park has a filter and it's just rust. Well...rust is not safe to bath in. Not sure where they got it wasn't unsafe. Bed was a foam one sp it was like sleeping in a hole. It was too soft and uncomfortable. Floors were dirty when I got it, silverware was filthy, bedding stank and had tiny black hairs on everything. It took me days to clean it. I just bought my own linens. They have a w/d on site but only limited hours and 70% of time they aren't actually there. However the machines are dirty and your clothes come out stinking like body oil from a dead body. I ended up having to get things washed professionally which was not a cost nor inconvenience I should have had to do considering i paid $50 for unlimited use for a month and used it twice then had to rewash everything to get the stinking out. Owner or manager is extremely combative and careless. Next door person had a diesel truck he would run for 30 min filling my unit with exhaust and all she did was deny the fact the truck should be parked away from the unit. So apparently people getting carbon monoxide poisoning isn't a big deal there. I ended up cleaning it for 3 hours to leave it actually clean when I left though I was charged $50 for cleaning but the unit was not clean when I took it and I left it cleaner when I left. I had an order delivered after I left and was told and argued with it wasnt there and the carrier wasnt who it was. Yet when I was there I had several packages demivered without a problem. All I got was a combative reply from management which tells me they do have it. The next month they tried charging me than quoted. I just left, too many problems and management or owner that is in denial of how bad it is. You might like it for 1 or 2 days if sinking beds and dirty water don't bother you but otherwise I don't recommend. I own several units like this and know how things work so just seems like lazy putting things together. Watch your charges and don't let them try to add things in. Document everything here.
Feb 28, 2025 · Ann ERJMy husband and I stayed here for two weeks it was nice and quiet but thanks to my husband's past we were told he had to leave it wasn't in their policy till AFTER we left. We loved it there and we weren't hurting anyone or anything we cleaned up after we left. Wished things would have been done differently.
