Vincennes RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Lundeen's Landing, formerly known as Vincennes RV Park, situated at 500 E Robinson Ln in Vincennes, Indiana. Located in Knox County, Vincennes is a city steeped in history along the Wabash River in southwestern Indiana. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Lundeen's Landing offers a unique camping experience right on the riverfront, along with potential options for longer-term RV residency. It's important to note the name correction provided by a reviewer, confirming that the park is now known as Lundeen's Landing.
Based on the available customer reviews, Lundeen's Landing presents itself as an appealing destination for those who appreciate camping directly along the river. One reviewer explicitly states, "If you love camping right along the river, then this place is for you." This highlights the park's prime location for water enthusiasts and those seeking a scenic and potentially peaceful environment. The reviewer also notes the online reservation system that requires payment via credit card, as checks and cash are not accepted. This is a practical piece of information for prospective campers.
The amenities mentioned include an "electric only site" where the reviewer stayed, indicating that various types of hookups might be available depending on the site. They also noted the presence of a "bathroom & showers in blue building," although they did not personally use these facilities. This suggests that basic amenities are provided for campers. The reviewer's overall impression was positive, describing the park as "nothing fancy but it's perfect for us," and they praised the "super friendly" owners, expressing their intention to return.
Another reviewer, who was considering a longer-term stay in their "relatively cheap rv," shared information about their initial interaction with the park management. They were told that as long as their RV was cleaned up, they would be welcome. A significant draw for this potential resident was that "everything was included in the rent," which they found appealing, along with the park itself being described as a "clean place too." This suggests that Lundeen's Landing may offer long-term RV sites with utilities included in the rental fee, which can be a significant cost-saving and convenience. The mention of a "friendly neighborhood" further adds to the positive aspects of the community.
However, a third reviewer, who visited the park as a delivery driver, raised a significant concern regarding the infrastructure, specifically "large speed bumps right at the entrance, which are rather tall." This individual, driving a "grocery getter car," experienced scraping even with weight in the back seat, leading them to deem these speed bumps "ridiculous" and "potentially destructive to smaller or lower sitting vehicles." They expressed a general dislike for speed bumps as a speed control measure and found these particular ones to be excessively tall. This negative experience with the entrance infrastructure ultimately led them to choose a different RV park, despite the attractive rates and included utilities at Lundeen's Landing. They did acknowledge that this might not be an issue for those driving trucks or SUVs.
Summarizing the pros and cons based on the reviews:
Pros:
- Riverfront camping experience.
- Friendly owners.
- Potential for long-term RV stays.
- All utilities included in the rent (for long-term residents, as mentioned by one reviewer).
- Clean location.
- Friendly neighborhood.
- Playground in the area (mentioned as a pro by one reviewer, though not detailed).
Cons:
- Obnoxious and potentially damagingly tall speed bumps at the entrance, especially for smaller or lower vehicles.
- Gravel roads that are reportedly unmaintained in winter, potentially causing issues for smaller cars getting stuck.
- Online credit card payment only for securing a spot (no checks or cash).
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," Lundeen's Landing offers a unique selling point with its riverfront location. This can be a major attraction for those seeking scenic camping and potential access to water activities. The friendly owners and the possibility of inclusive utility rates for longer-term stays are also significant benefits. The presence of a playground suggests that the park is family-friendly.
However, the extremely negative feedback regarding the speed bumps at the entrance is a serious consideration for anyone planning to enter the park with a smaller vehicle or who values a smooth entry and exit. The mention of unmaintained gravel roads in winter could also be a significant drawback for year-round residents or those visiting during colder months, particularly if they drive smaller vehicles.
For local users searching for an RV park in Vincennes, Lundeen's Landing (formerly Vincennes RV Park) offers a riverside setting and a welcoming atmosphere with friendly owners. Potential campers should be prepared to pay online with a credit card for their spot. Those considering a longer-term stay should inquire about the availability of sites with included utilities. However, all visitors, especially those with smaller or lower vehicles, should be aware of the potentially problematic speed bumps at the entrance and the reported condition of the gravel roads in winter.
To get the most up-to-date information on Lundeen's Landing, including the availability of RV sites, specific amenities, rates for both short-term and long-term stays, and the current condition of the park's infrastructure (including whether any improvements have been made to the speed bumps or winter road maintenance), it is recommended to contact the owners directly at (812) 455-1705 or +1 812-455-1705. Visiting the park in person, if feasible, would also allow potential visitors to assess the entrance and the overall environment firsthand.
In conclusion, Lundeen's Landing (formerly Vincennes RV Park) offers a riverside camping experience with friendly management and potential benefits for long-term RV residents. However, the significant issue with the entrance speed bumps and concerns about winter road maintenance should be carefully considered by all prospective visitors. Weighing the pros of the location and community feel against the cons of the infrastructure is crucial for making an informed decision about staying at Lundeen's Landing in Vincennes, Indiana.

Vincennes RV Park Reviews
Mistake correction...This is LUNDEENS LANDING, not Vincennes RV park.If you love camping right along the river, then this place is for you. Only thing is you secure a spot online with a credit card. No checks no cash. We camped in electric only site. bathroom & showers in blue building, we had no need for them. It's nothing fancy but it's perfect for us. Owners are super friendly. We hope to get back there again.
Jan 16, 2025 · MeTimes are getting tougher, and I got my hands on a relatively cheap rv. What's initially considering moving out to this area. They told me that so long as I clean my RV up, then I'm good to go. Everything was included in the rent, which also sounded nice, along with the park and everything else. Clean place too. Then I took some deliveries out there, as my job as a delivery driver. The large speed bumps right at the entrance, which are rather tall, was an immediate turn off. My grocery getter car scrapes if I have enough weight in the back seat going over those. That is ridiculous and should not be allowed. That is potentially destructive to smaller or lower sitting vehicles. I already think speed bumps are a lazy form of speed control, and potentially destructive, but those are way too tall, even for speed bump standards. Coming from Windy hill, where they have lousy roads and a speed bump at the top of the hill which isn't quite as tall as the ones at this park, I decided that having speed bumps at the entrance that I was going to have to hit with my car multiple times a day every day was a no-go for me. My partner has back problems, so I'm not doing that to her or my car again. There's other ways to keep speeders down. In the end, I just couldn't. I ended up selecting a place with similar rates (slightly cheaper actually), and not as good of a neighborhood, but slightly better maintained winter roads, and that doesn't punch my car suspension every time I enter or exit. If you drive a truck or suv, that may not be a problem to you. Your mileage May vary.Pros:- all utilities included in rent- playground in the area- clean location- friendly neighborhoodCons:- obnoxious speed bumps at entrance- gravel roads that are unmaintained in winter (my small car got stuck out there over a week after the last snowstorm)
Jan 19, 2025 · Robbie Ginder (ComputerNerdInside)Great place to stay, family owned, quiet, well maintained, super friendly owners, big sites, all new full hookups and most are pull throughs.Stayed at site 12 two months for work and would gladly go back.4 star rating is only because they didn’t have laundry or WiFi yet, but they are working on that in the future.
Jul 06, 2021 · Pete LabishI stayed here for 3 months for a travel nurse contract I enjoyed my stay very much. The park is quite and clean and the long-term guest they have make it feel more like a neighborhood and "homey". The owner was quick to respond the day that I was looking for a place to stay because the place I had planned on staying was not what I had expected they got me in quickly and I'm very thankful for that, I think anybody would enjoy their stay here.
Mar 02, 2024 · JacquelineThe owners of the Vincennes RV Park are WONDERFUL friendly folks. We made a late decision to travel to Vincennes for the 2024 Eclipse. We could not find ANY State or RV parks nearby with availability. The Vincennes RV Park was sold out as well BUT the owners went out of their way to find us a level area within the RV park for us to boondock (no hookups) for a reasonable fee for the weekend. The park is well maintained, safe, LARGE sites, all new full hookups and most are pull throughs. The park is very close to downtown Vincennes. The owners made arrangements for us to dump and fill with water before leaving. We would stay again. Thanks for the last-minute accommodations and all the information about Vincennes.
