Vinton RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me," it's essential to gather comprehensive information to make an informed decision about where to stay. Vinton RV Park, located at 1514 Azema St, Vinton, LA 70668, USA, can be contacted at (337) 570-2942 or +1 337-570-2942. Based on recent customer reviews available online, it’s important for potential visitors to be aware of certain reported conditions and service issues at this location.
One recurring concern highlighted in the reviews is the apparent lack of on-site staff presence in the office. According to one reviewer, there is "absolutely no staff ever in the office," and attempts to contact them via phone were unsuccessful, as calls were not returned. This lack of accessible on-site management could pose challenges for check-in processes, addressing immediate concerns, or obtaining assistance during your stay.
Furthermore, the condition of the recreational room has been a significant point of criticism. One reviewer described the rec room as "filthy," noting the presence of bugs all over the floor. Additionally, the bathrooms associated with the rec room were reported to lack essential supplies such as toilet tissue. The physical state of the rec room also appears to be deteriorating, with mentions of the ceiling falling in and insulation hanging down, along with the observation of a "huge spider web." These descriptions suggest a lack of regular cleaning and maintenance in this communal area, which could impact the overall comfort and hygiene of guests.
Beyond the recreational facilities, general upkeep of the RV park seems to be an area of concern. One reviewer noted that "trash is over flowing, and the place in general is not kept up with," expressing disappointment as they recalled a more positive experience at the park in previous years. This suggests a potential decline in the maintenance standards of the property over time, which could affect the overall aesthetic and potentially the functionality of the park.
Another significant issue reported by a recent guest involved the booking process and the condition of the RV sites and utilities. After booking a night online, the reviewer arrived to find the office closed and the park map "illegible," making it difficult to locate their assigned spot. Upon finding their initial spot, they discovered it was not suitable for their RV and had to contact the park to change locations. While they were able to move to a different spot, they encountered a serious electrical problem. Their watchdog power surge protector repeatedly turned off and on, indicating unstable voltage. Upon monitoring the voltage, they observed one leg reaching over 135V, with the issue then transferring to the other leg. This is a critical concern as it suggests a "loose neutral somewhere," which carries the potential to send 240V through an RV, causing significant damage to electronic equipment. Due to this hazardous electrical situation, the reviewer decided to leave the RV park without even staying the night, opting for another campground.
The experiences shared in these reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the management, maintenance, and potentially the safety of the utilities at Vinton RV Park. The lack of on-site staff and responsiveness to calls, the unclean and deteriorating condition of the recreational facilities, the overflowing trash and general lack of upkeep, and the serious electrical issues reported by a guest are all factors that potential visitors should carefully consider.
While these reviews provide valuable firsthand accounts, it is important to note that these are individual experiences and may not represent the entirety of experiences at the park. However, the consistency and severity of the issues raised, particularly concerning safety and maintenance, warrant careful consideration for anyone looking for "RV parks near me" in the Vinton, Louisiana area. Potential guests may want to seek more current information or alternative accommodations based on these recent reports.
Given the information available from these recent reviews, it is difficult to ascertain any positive promotional aspects of Vinton RV Park at this time. The feedback primarily focuses on significant shortcomings in management, maintenance, and safety. Therefore, this introduction serves as an objective summary of the publicly available reviews, highlighting the concerns raised by recent visitors. Individuals considering a stay at Vinton RV Park should weigh these points carefully against their own needs and expectations for an RV park experience.

Vinton RV Park Reviews
There is absolutely no staff ever in the office, they don't return calls. the rec room looked like it was nice at one time but it is filthy, bugs all over the floor, no toilet tissue in Any of the bathrooms, and the ceiling is falling in and insulation hanging down. And I noticed a huge spider web behind me. I got a stick and removed it and all the babies.Trash is over flowing, and the place in general is not kept up with. So sad. We were here years back and it was so nice.
Apr 29, 2025 · RehneBooked a night online. When I got there the office was closed and the map was illegible. Figured out my spot but it wouldn't fit my rv. Called them and changed spots. Got all back set up and my watchdog power surge protector kept turning off and on. Watched voltage and one leg got over 135v and then it swapped to the other leg. Definitely has a loose neutral somewhere. Potential to send 240v through your rv damaging electronics. Left to go to another RV campground, didn't even stay the night.
Apr 23, 2025 · Joshua StampLove the signs. So many parks aren't making it easy to find them. Brent was so helpful and accommodating. Love the park. There was road noise but it IS right off the highway. We take no stars away for that. WiFi was fantastic. Easy to park in these huge pull thrus. Full cab, long bed dually towing a 40' 5th wheel and a Dodge 1500, all fit easily. Will definitely stay here again
Mar 17, 2025 · Cindy JohnsenCampgrounds are more and more no employees you call and all they want is you credit card info. No one at the establishment just emailconfirmation. The shower did not have much pressure or volume. It was clean and well kept.
Mar 06, 2025 · Roy ShipmanThis park was ok for an overnight stop. Conveniently located right off the interstate. When we got there after hours, there was no welcome package with our name on it. I tried to check in online and was directed to call a certain # to check in, which I did. Nobody answered, I received an automated text that said they were helping another customer and what can they assist with. I responded with “checking in”. It was 55 minutes later that I received a phone call. If I hadn’t of already paid, I probably would have just moved on to another RV park. Broken tree limbs were on the ground throughout the park which made me nervous that our site had a tree beside it and limbs going over the site. The highway noise was quite evident from all sites. Would not be on my list of parks to return to.
