Walts Hidden Acres Reviews
You know how sometimes timing is everything? We needed a place with full amenities while heading back East through Minnesota with our Dad (87yrs).. With very limited time to research we chose Walt’s Hidden Acres showing good reviews on RV Parky. Couldn’t have been cleaner, with a beautiful pool, impeccably kept lawns and level sites. Firewood for sale (fill a wheelbarrow) at a reasonable rate as well as a strolling downtown if you like being a tourist set on Leech Lake. Free laundry but bring quarters for the shower. Thank you to Deanna and Walt for your amazing hospitality…we will be back!!
Jun 14, 2024 · Kimball BockletWe stayed at Walt's Hidden Acres in Akeley, Minnesota. That is its mailing address but it is closer to Walker, MN. This is a smaller park with quite a few seasonal sites. The sites are all very nice and well kept, so that is not a negative in this case. It has a heated pool, nice game room and lounge area with laundry and showers/rest rooms. The roads and sites are gravel. We did have a little issue leveling because everything is terraced but we were able to make it work. Beautiful, grassy sites with plenty of other greenspace. This is a beautiful area. It would have been nice if the owners had informed us about the heated pool etc upon arrival. They do need a better dumpster system. All in all this is a great place and we would stay here again.
Aug 11, 2024 · Diana LangWe had a great stay here! Great location out of the way but still close to town, quiet, beautifully maintained and the bathrooms/showers are the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. The pool was a perfect addition for the kids. Owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you need a spot near Walker, this is the place!
Jun 26, 2023 · Christine LundinWe don't want to leave a 5 star review. They deserve more than a 5 star review but we also don't want this place to get more popular than it already is so we can't stay there.Honestly, we were blown away with this place! The friendliness of the owners, the cleanliness of the entire facility, how quiet it was, the pool was perfect, the clubhouse was fantastic, and we felt so welcomed the entire time we were there. They went out of their way and helped my parents with setting them up with a local welder to fix their RV after trying to help us fix it ourselves. Everyone one at this place was super friendly, enjoying the chill vibe of the place. Close to town but far from the bustle. We hope to be back soon, this place was very special to us!Thanks for having us and my parents!
Aug 26, 2023 · Chris NicholsonI was here for a school internship and loved every moment I had at the campground. Owners were phenomenal, supportive and fun! I would highly recommend this campground to others to stay here. Wheeler trails are only a few miles down the road. Everyone who I interacted with loved it there and I had a hard time leaving after a months stay because I enjoyed my time so much.
