Warrior Creek RV Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts and travelers searching for "RV parks near me" in the Bonham, Texas area, Warrior Creek RV, situated at 6869 State Hwy 121, presents an evolving camping option. With contact numbers (903) 706-8961 and +1 903-706-8961, connecting with the park for the latest information and reservations is readily available. Based on recent customer feedback, Warrior Creek RV offers a location with potential, characterized by nice shade trees and ample space for various activities, but it's also undergoing development with certain amenities currently unavailable or with specific site configurations to consider.
One reviewer who stayed for three days in mid-September noted that the campground "easily has the potential to get 5 stars," highlighting the positive aspects of the location. The presence of "nice shade trees" is a significant advantage, offering relief from the Texas sun and creating a more pleasant outdoor living environment. The park also boasts "plenty of room to walk pets, and for kids to play," indicating spacious grounds that cater to families and pet owners. The reviewer also observed that while there are "lots of full timers living there," the park maintains a "pretty neat and quiet" atmosphere, suggesting a respectful and peaceful community within the campground.
However, this same reviewer pointed out three key issues that potential guests should be aware of. Firstly, the "no bathhouse yet (building it)" situation means that guests currently need to rely on the facilities within their own RVs for showering and restroom needs. The fact that a bathhouse is under construction suggests that this amenity will be available in the future, which could significantly enhance the park's appeal. Secondly, the lack of a dedicated "office run out of house or seems like it" might indicate a less formal check-in and management process, which may or may not be a concern depending on individual preferences. It's advisable to clarify the check-in procedures when making a reservation.
The third and perhaps most significant issue raised by the reviewer concerns the placement of the utility hookups: "All electric, water, and sewer is at very back of sites which in about half the cases is up hill...we could not hook up to sewer since our connections at mid to front of unit." This is a critical piece of information for RV owners, as the location of their RV's connections relative to the park's hookups can determine whether they can utilize all the services, particularly sewer. The mention of uphill sites for some hookups further complicates the matter, potentially requiring extra hose length or making connections challenging for certain RV configurations. It is imperative for potential guests to inquire about the specific layout and hookup locations of their assigned site when booking to ensure compatibility with their RV.
The pricing mentioned by the reviewer was "$45 back in $55 pull through." These rates provide a general idea of the cost, but it's important to confirm the current pricing and any potential additional fees when making a reservation, as rates can vary based on season, length of stay, and other factors.
In contrast to the first detailed review, a second reviewer offered a more critical assessment, describing Warrior Creek RV as "a small RV park that needs a lot of attention." This suggests that while the first reviewer saw potential, the second experienced some shortcomings. The specifics of what "attention" is needed are not detailed, but it could relate to the ongoing construction, the management setup, or other aspects of the park's infrastructure or maintenance.
A third brief review stated, "It was okay for one night, maybe two if I needed one more night. Friendly staff." This offers a somewhat neutral perspective, indicating that the park was adequate for a short stay and that the staff was friendly, which is a positive aspect. However, the hesitation to stay longer might reflect some of the limitations or areas needing improvement mentioned in the other reviews.
Considering these mixed reviews, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should approach Warrior Creek RV with an awareness of its ongoing development and potential site-specific challenges. The presence of shade trees and ample space are definite positives, as is the reported friendly staff. However, the lack of a bathhouse (currently), the informal office situation, and, most importantly, the potentially inconvenient placement of utility hookups on some sites are factors that require careful consideration and direct inquiry.
When contacting Warrior Creek RV at (903) 706-8961 or +1 903-706-8961, local users should specifically ask about:
- The estimated completion date of the bathhouse facilities.
- The check-in procedures and how to contact management upon arrival.
- The layout and utility hookup locations for specific sites they are considering, especially regarding sewer connections and the terrain (uphill or level).
- The current rates for back-in and pull-through sites, as well as any other applicable fees or discounts.
- The availability of 30 and 50 amp electrical service.
By gathering this information directly, potential guests can make an informed decision about whether Warrior Creek RV meets their needs and if they are prepared for the current stage of the park's development. While the long-term potential of the park seems promising, based on the first reviewer's comments, the present conditions require careful evaluation.
In conclusion, Warrior Creek RV near Bonham, Texas, offers a location with appealing natural features like shade trees and spacious grounds. The staff is reported to be friendly. However, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware that the park is currently under development, with no bathhouse available yet and an informal office setup. A significant consideration is the placement of utility hookups, which are at the rear of sites and uphill in some cases, potentially causing connection issues for some RVs. Direct communication with the park is essential to ascertain the suitability of specific sites and to understand the current state of amenities and services before booking a stay.

Nov 25, 2024 · Jim GrimesSites are unlevel. After leaving a deposit for a site, I had an issue and was not able to use it. I tried for a week to contact someone at the office to let them know so they could let someone else have it and I wanted my deposit back. No one ever answers the phone. I went to the location and there was no one there and had a closed sign. Not a very good way to run a business.Ps, there is no way to get ahold of the owner and this excuse is not the true story.
Jun 17, 2024 · DaleWarrior Creek is different than other local RV Parks. It’s got lots of trees and a pond on the property which makes it nice and feels more with nature than just a regular Pad with no surrounding trees or greenery. Ms Judy is the property manager and she’s a sweetheart. She cares about the place and the tenants. Warrior Creek has Wifi for the park and easy to pull in or back in spots for your RV/Camper needs. The building being built on the property is getting close to being finished and this will make a nice addition to the property and the convenience of the amenities will be great! I had the privilege of meeting and talking with the owners/investors of Warrior Creek RV Park and they are down to earth families that care about the park and the people in it.You honestly can’t go wrong with this RV/Camper park! It’s a 10 out of 10!
Jan 30, 2023 · Dj AntonacciThis place is really great, they've worked really hard to keep a park like natural setting: very shaded with a lot of trees and surprisingly quiet given the nearby highway. The owner is very responsive and seems genuinely interested in making it a great natural park to stay in. Full hookups and 50a in every spot! Bonham is about ten minutes away and McKinney is about 25 minutes away.
