Wood Creek RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Sneads Ferry, North Carolina area, Wood Creek RV Park, situated at 2201 Sneads Ferry Rd, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460, USA, is a potential option to consider. They can be contacted at (910) 526-8190 or through their mobile number, +1 910-526-8190. It is important for prospective guests to be aware of the recent feedback from individuals who have interacted with or stayed at this park, as their experiences provide insights into the park's policies and operational aspects.
One review details a negative experience related to the park's pet policy, specifically concerning service animals. The reviewer, who has a pit bull service dog, recounts attempting to rent a lot for their travel trailer. Despite the park initially having availability, the situation reportedly changed upon learning about the service dog. The reviewer alleges that they were put on hold and then given a reason for denial that they perceived as dishonest and discriminatory. They were reportedly told that there was insufficient space for a large dog, with a preference stated for accommodating only smaller dogs like Chihuahuas, supposedly to allow space for pet pens. The reviewer disputes this, referencing the park's website which allegedly states "spacious lots that can fit the trailer, a vehicle, and a boat," and notes the absence of pet pens in the website's photos. This account raises significant concerns regarding the park's adherence to service animal regulations and their communication with potential guests.
Another reviewer, who stayed at Wood Creek RV Park for a couple of months, also reported a negative experience. This individual stated that they never met the park owners in person and were charged double the regular rate for a short-term stay. They also claimed to have experienced a lack of communication from the management, reporting that their questions and concerns were either ignored or required multiple calls to address. The condition of their assigned lot was described as being covered in trash and dirt, with a significant ant nest present. This led to an ant infestation in their RV after the first month, which they spent considerable time and effort trying to resolve after moving out. The reviewer characterized the park as being in "general disarray" and advised prospective long-term tenants to inspect their lot before moving in and to anticipate limited communication from the landlord. Furthermore, they reported awaiting the return of their deposit, having contacted the owners multiple times in the past week only to receive notice that the owners were on vacation.
Based on these two recent reviews, several potential aspects of Wood Creek RV Park can be inferred. The environment, at least in the case of one reviewer's lot, was described as being unclean and unmaintained upon arrival. The presence of trash, dirt, and pests like a massive ant nest suggests a lack of attention to the upkeep of individual sites. The overall state of the park being in "general disarray" further indicates potential issues with the general maintenance and aesthetic of the property.
In terms of services, the limited information suggests a lack of proactive communication and responsiveness from the park owners or management, at least according to one long-term guest. The alleged discrepancy in short-term versus long-term rates and the reported difficulties in contacting the owners and receiving a deposit refund point to potential administrative and customer service issues. The first review also implies a potentially inconsistent or discriminatory policy regarding pets, particularly service animals, and a possible misrepresentation of lot sizes and pet accommodation practices.
Features of the park are not explicitly detailed, but the website's mention of "spacious lots that can fit the trailer, a vehicle, and a boat" suggests that the physical sites are intended to be reasonably sized. However, the discrepancy noted by the first reviewer regarding the space purportedly needed for pet pens raises questions about the actual usable space and the park's rationale for pet restrictions. The absence of positive comments about specific amenities often found in RV parks, such as recreational facilities or communal areas, might indicate that these are either limited or not noteworthy based on the experiences shared.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Potential local users would need to contact the park directly to inquire about current rates, availability, long-term stay options, and any specific features or services offered. It would also be prudent to inquire about their pet policies, particularly concerning service animals, and to seek clarification on the size and condition of available lots.
Given the serious allegations of discrimination against a service animal user and the negative experiences reported by a long-term guest regarding communication, site condition, and administrative processes, local users considering Wood Creek RV Park should exercise caution and due diligence. It would be highly advisable to contact the park directly, ask detailed questions based on the concerns raised in these reviews, and if possible, visit the park to assess the environment and site conditions firsthand before making a commitment. The significant negative feedback suggests potential issues that could impact the quality of stay for future guests.
In conclusion, the available online reviews paint a concerning picture of Wood Creek RV Park. Allegations of discriminatory practices against service dog owners and reports of poor site maintenance, lack of communication from management, and potential issues with billing and refunds should give prospective local users pause. While the website suggests spacious lots, the actual experiences shared by these reviewers indicate potential discrepancies and significant shortcomings in the park's management and upkeep. Without further positive feedback or a direct positive experience, proceeding with caution and thorough investigation is strongly recommended for anyone considering Wood Creek RV Park as one of their "RV Parks Near Me" in Sneads Ferry.

Wood Creek RV Park Reviews
I have a service dog he is a pitbull. My husband and I were trying to rent a lot for our travel trailer, they had availability and spots available until they asked about him and all the sudden I was put on hold. The lady was stuttering on her words trying to lie. and said they didn't have enough space for a big dog like him.i told them they didn't need it because he will always be inside with us and only taken on leash walks. They proceed to tell me they didn't have space because they like to give enough space to set up a pen area if people wanted for their dogs. They said they would only have enough space for a Chihuahua. I know this is a lie, their website states they have "spacious lots that can fit the trailer, a vehicle, and a boat." I know what y'all did, discriminating against my service dog! It won't be me but I am telling you one day someone WILL sue y'all for doing this if y'all keep it up! This place is a joke!!! No where do I see pens set up on any of the photos on the website. LIARS!
May 20, 2022 · Danielle BakerStayed here for a couple months. I never met the park owners once. They charged me double their regular rate for a short term fee. Every time I had a question or concern I was plain ignored or had to call multiple times. My lot was covered in trash and dirt with a massive ant nest on it. My RV became infested after the first month and I’ve spent the past month until I was finally able to move clearing out the queen ants trying to build nests in my trailer. Park is in general disarray and although the location is nice I would certainly check your lot before moving and expect zero communication from the landlord if you’re a long term tenant. I am currently awaiting my deposit. As I have contacted the owners 3 times the past week and just got a notice they are on vacation.
Jul 09, 2024 · Frankie PrestiaDon't rent from these people they like to take full advantage of our young Military families. They charge them twice as much for their RV lots and electricity. Its a shame that they are allowed to do this. Our Military don't make that much money, and to be ripped off like this. They also will lie to you, and not return deposits.
Oct 16, 2021 · Laura DyerFantastic place, convenient and quiet.
Nov 28, 2024 · charles murrayUnsanitary conditions, I was being shown a site and the owner dumped out a whole septic tank full of feces on the adjoining lots house. I was told not to worry about it and to move on. The lot next to it was demoed with trash and debris all over. We elected not to stay due to the unsafe living conditions. I hope it rains or the unfortunate people in that lot will have to wake up to an unfortunate mess.
