Silver Sands Campground and RV Park Introduce
For local users seeking serene and well-located "RV Parks Near Me" in the Sneads Ferry, North Carolina area, Silver Sands Campground and RV Park, situated at 113 Silver Sands Dr, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460, USA, offers a compelling option. They can be contacted at (910) 752-4122 or via their mobile number, +1 910-752-4122. Based on recent feedback from residents and visitors, Silver Sands provides a peaceful environment, spacious lots, a friendly community atmosphere, and convenient access to the pristine beaches of North Topsail Island.
One long-term resident describes Silver Sands as a place they "really enjoy living here," highlighting its quiet and peaceful ambiance. This tranquility can be a significant draw for those seeking a relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle. While acknowledging that it is "kind of a no frills campground," the spaciousness of the lots and the reasonable pricing are noted as key advantages. The availability of ample space allows residents and visitors to set up comfortably without feeling cramped.
The sense of community at Silver Sands is also a positive aspect frequently mentioned. The long-term resident has experienced "very good luck with neighbors," noting a balance between those who prefer their privacy and others who are willing to offer help when needed. The formation of lasting friendships with temporary neighbors further underscores the friendly social environment within the campground. This welcoming atmosphere can greatly enhance the overall living or vacation experience.
A significant benefit for those choosing Silver Sands is its close proximity to North Topsail Beach. Described as "strictly a family area," this beach is appreciated for never being overly crowded, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable coastal experience. The short distance to this uncrowded family beach makes Silver Sands an attractive location for beach lovers and families seeking a peaceful seaside retreat.
However, one notable environmental challenge mentioned by the long-term resident is the abundance of fire ants. Due to the campground's proximity to the ocean and the sandy terrain, fire ants are a prevalent issue, common in many parts of the South. While the management is reported to be responsive to requests for spraying, the effectiveness is limited. Therefore, visitors and residents need to exercise caution when walking around the park. This is an important factor to be aware of, particularly for those with pets or young children.
Despite the fire ant issue, the long-term resident expresses overall happiness with living at Silver Sands. This suggests that the positive aspects of the quiet environment, spacious lots, friendly community, and beach access outweigh this particular drawback for many.
Another reviewer who moved to Silver Sands with their spouse and two dogs at the end of June had an overwhelmingly positive experience with both the management and the campground itself. They specifically commend "David who was with the management company," giving him five-star ratings for being kind, personable, knowledgeable, and willing to help with any necessary assistance. This highlights the positive and supportive management at Silver Sands, contributing significantly to resident satisfaction.
The cleanliness of the RV campground is also praised by this reviewer. They note that "almost everyone you meet whether it's a long-term neighbor or someone passing through always says hi with a smile on their face," reinforcing the friendly and welcoming community atmosphere highlighted by the long-term resident. This consistent experience of neighborly interaction adds to the positive living environment.
For pet owners, Silver Sands appears to be a particularly welcoming place. The reviewer with two beagles, Rosie and Oliver, mentions that their dogs love it there, making friends on the quiet community streets within the park. The presence of a "puppy park that's on the back side of the campground" is a significant amenity for dog owners, providing a dedicated space for their pets to socialize and play. This pet-friendly feature makes Silver Sands an excellent choice for RV travelers who bring their furry companions.
This reviewer concludes by giving Silver Sands a five-star rating, referring to it as a "hidden gem" in Sneads Ferry. They enthusiastically recommend it to others looking for a wonderful place to bring their RVs or families seeking a vacation spot, encouraging them to "take a look at our little slice of heaven back here in Sneads Ferry." This strong endorsement from a recent arrival further attests to the positive experience offered by Silver Sands Campground and RV Park.
In summary, Silver Sands Campground and RV Park offers a quiet and peaceful environment with spacious and reasonably priced lots. It fosters a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere, where both long-term residents and temporary visitors often form positive connections. Its prime location provides convenient access to the uncrowded, family-friendly North Topsail Beach. While the presence of fire ants due to the coastal sandy environment is a known issue, the management is responsive to treatment requests. The park is particularly welcoming to pet owners, featuring a dedicated puppy park. The positive experiences shared by residents and visitors, particularly regarding the helpful management and the overall sense of community, make Silver Sands a highly recommended option for those seeking "RV Parks Near Me" in the Sneads Ferry area, whether for long-term living or a relaxing coastal getaway.

Silver Sands Campground and RV Park Reviews
I really enjoy living here. It's very quiet and peaceful. It is kind of a no frills campground but the lots are spacious and reasonably priced. I have had very good luck with neighbors. Many people choose to keep to themselves but there always seems to be at least one neighbor at any one time that I can count on if I need some help. We have had some wonderful temporary neighbors that became friends for life. We are very close to North Topsail Beach which is strictly a family area and the beach is never crowded. The only negative is the fire ants! Being so close to the ocean the park is all sand and the fire ants are abundant. They are good at spraying when you request it but it doesn't help much. You just have to be careful where you walk. Fire ants are a problem in many parts of the south. Otherwise I'm quite happy living here.
Apr 26, 2025 · Jan HauserMy husband and I moved here at the end of June and management as well as the campground itself has been wonderful. We have had two separate occasions worked with David who was with the management company. I would give David five stars every single time! Not only is he kind and personable but he is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help with whatever is necessary. The RV campground itself is very clean and almost everyone you meet whether it's a long-term neighbor or someone passing through always says hi with a smile on their face. We have two dogs, they love it here their brother and sister beagles - Rosie and Oliver. They make friends everywhere they go on the quiet community streets within the park and have made several doggy friends at the puppy park that's on the back side of the campground. We give five stars because we want people to know about this hidden gem. And hope that other people looking for a wonderful place to bring their RV's or families just looking for a vacation spot..... Well take a look at our little slice of heaven back here in Sneads Ferry.
Jul 27, 2024 · Elizabeth SimmonsMy dog Moka and I had an amazing time at this campground! The dog park was a fantastic feature, and Moka had a blast meeting new friends. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a pet-friendly getaway!---
Jul 16, 2024 · Grethel KaussThis is a heat campground centrally located to evening in Sneads ferry. Within walking distance to multiple restaurants and 8 minutes to the beach. There is a great playground and dog park. There is a community fireplace that runs on propane, so no need to carry wood. This is the cheapest place around.
Jul 18, 2024 · Matthew DeShetlerNice area , the park is friendly and quiet. My only complaint would be a few who don't pick up after their dogs. I won't take my dog to their park anymore because it's littered with dog waste everywhere. Otherwise this park is very nice!
