Harbor Point RV Community Introduce
Looking for a peaceful and well-maintained RV community in the Sneads Ferry area of North Carolina? Harbor Point RV Community, featured on "RV Parks Near Me," offers a blend of tranquility and convenient amenities for both short-term visitors and long-term residents. Situated at 100 Ocracoke Rd, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460, this RV park appears to provide a pleasant environment with a strong sense of community, although some aspects regarding site conditions and rule enforcement warrant consideration.
The environment at Harbor Point RV Community is generally described as beautiful, quiet, and clean, creating an appealing atmosphere for those seeking a relaxing stay. Many reviewers highlight the peaceful nature of the campground, suggesting a serene setting away from excessive noise. The presence of "beautiful trees" that provide shade for walking is a notable environmental feature, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and providing a pleasant area for leisurely strolls. Additionally, the community boasts a "water overlook," indicating potential access to scenic waterfront views, likely of the nearby sound or waterway. The proximity to the town of Sneads Ferry and its stores is also a significant environmental advantage, offering convenience for accessing supplies and local businesses, which are reported to be very good, clean, and provide excellent service and products.
Harbor Point RV Community offers a range of amenities and services that cater to various needs. For families, the presence of a "very nice" playground provides a dedicated space for children to enjoy outdoor activities. The pool is also highlighted as a desirable amenity, perfect for relaxation and recreation, especially during warmer months. Pet owners will appreciate the inclusion of two large and "great" dog parks, offering ample space for their furry companions to exercise and socialize. The clubhouse serves as a central hub for community events, as evidenced by the well-organized Easter Party and egg hunt, although one reviewer noted a wish for more children to participate. While not explicitly stated, it can be inferred that standard RV park services such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups are available at each site. One reviewer mentioned a "grading issue" that was promptly and impressively resolved by the maintenance staff, indicating the presence of maintenance services within the community.
Several features of Harbor Point RV Community stand out based on the available reviews. The strong sense of community, with a majority of residents being full-time or part-time, suggests a stable and established environment. While this might mean fewer transient travelers, it can also foster a close-knit and supportive atmosphere. The water overlook provides a unique feature, likely offering picturesque views and a connection to the surrounding waterways. The combination of natural beauty with the convenience of being close to town and its amenities offers a balanced living experience. The positive feedback regarding the Easter Party indicates efforts to organize community events and foster social interaction among residents and guests.
However, it is important to note some concerns raised by a couple of reviewers. One mentioned that "the sites are not well leveled and on grass," requiring some effort to settle in and work around "couple of big holes." This suggests that while the overall environment is pleasing, the individual site conditions might vary, and some may require extra leveling. Another significant concern revolves around the consistency of rule enforcement by the management. One reviewer, a Thousand Trails member, reported receiving a violation letter for speeding with a golf cart (the only vehicle they drove within the park) without any prior verbal warning, leading to confusion and frustration. This inconsistency in rule enforcement was echoed by another reviewer who had a similar experience, suggesting a potential area for improvement in park management to ensure fair and transparent application of rules for all residents and guests. The positive interaction with the maintenance staff, who were described as a "real gem" and "super nice" and efficient in resolving a site issue, provides a contrasting positive aspect of the service.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the available reviews. Therefore, we cannot offer any specific discounts or special offers for Harbor Point RV Community at this time. In conclusion, Harbor Point RV Community, as featured on "RV Parks Near Me," offers a generally beautiful, quiet, and clean environment in Sneads Ferry, NC, with appealing amenities such as a playground, pool, and two dog parks, as well as a scenic water overlook and convenient access to the town. The strong sense of community, with a significant number of long-term residents, contributes to a stable atmosphere. However, potential visitors should be aware that some campsites might not be perfectly level and are situated on grass. Additionally, there are mentions of inconsistent rule enforcement by management, which could be a point of consideration. On a positive note, the maintenance staff is praised for their helpfulness and efficiency. For local users seeking a peaceful RV community with good amenities and a convenient location, Harbor Point RV Community is worth considering, but it would be prudent to inquire about site conditions and management policies directly before making a reservation or committing to a long-term stay.

Harbor Point RV Community Reviews
We had a peaceful and great stay here for 2 weeks. The campground is beautiful, quiet, clean and we enjoyed it overall. The sites are not well leveled and on grass and we had to work around couple of big holes but overall decent and we settled well.Majority of people here are residents full time or part time. We didn’t meet any other travelers. The playground and pool are very nice. There are 2 dog parks that are large and great for the pups.We loved walking under the beautiful trees and walking up the water overlook.Close to town and stores. Every business we visited in Sneads Ferry was very good, clean with good service and products. We enjoyed the Easter Party at the clubhouse- it was well organized and there was a fun egg hunt for the kids- we just wish there were more kids.Great, clean and quiet. Would come back if I have a trip this way.
May 06, 2025 · Joy MWe had a very rough go staying there. Brittany, the manager, would pick and choose certain times to enforce or not enforce the rules, which was extremely confusing to my kids. I am a thousand trails member, and for example, I got a violation letter about speed in the campground, we parked our rv there and the only thing we drive was our golf cart, at no point do I feel like we were driving too fast, and at no point was anything mentioned to us in the almost two weeks we stayed. Again…confusing. The maintenance guy (whose name I am sorry to say I forgot) is a real gem, he was actually super nice and helped us with a grading issue we had. He looked at it and got it fixed right away, which was impressive. I will also add that they had an event by the pool which was actually quite nice. I don’t know how I feel about this campground, it would be better if they were more consistent. Interestingly, I found this review, she had a similar experience…We are avid campers and I have never seen a campground run like this. There are plenty of other good campgrounds in the area, we really loved Oceans RV.
Jul 30, 2024 · Beech Pack AdventuresAwesome !!! Great location and great facilities. Stayed for two months this summer and will absolutely be returning next year! Brittany and the entire staff are great ! Really enjoyed the cookout for the July 4th !! Absolutely spotless bath house and laundry facilities. The private boat dock is a great amenity!!!
Aug 10, 2024 · stephen newbernI’ve been an annual lease holder for a year now and leased in several camp grounds throughout the year’s. This one is the best by far with all the amenities, views and social gatherings! There has been some changes with Management during that time. However, Brittany has been a constant through it all. Thank goodness they promoted her! I see some bad reviews on here from a former tenant and their friends who did not lease here. We are a positive and family friendly community. We enjoy the beauty of our campground and it’s staff that help to keep it that way. We thank management keeping out the “riff raff” so we can keep our camp clean, safe and enjoyable for all to experience. 🥰
Dec 01, 2023 · Autumn LeighSo clean, big spots for our 36-ft RV, dog park, helpful staff, well-cared-for pool and outstanding individual shower rooms if you need them. Overall a great experience and easy access to coastal beaches. Highly recommend!
