Anglers Hideaway Introduce
Are you searching for the perfect "camping near me" in the scenic region of Sekiu, Washington? Look no further than Anglers Hideaway, a campground that promises a tranquil and convenient experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Situated at 12 Park Loop Dr, Sekiu, WA 98381, USA, Anglers Hideaway offers a serene escape while keeping you close to local attractions and essential services.
Anglers Hideaway prides itself on providing a quiet and laid-back atmosphere, a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Its location is particularly appealing to those planning fishing trips or boating adventures, as it's less than a 5-minute drive to nearby marinas. This proximity allows for easy access to the water, whether you're planning a day of fishing, crabbing, or simply enjoying the stunning coastal scenery of the Pacific Northwest.
The campground offers well-maintained grounds, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay for all visitors. For RV campers, Anglers Hideaway provides essential hookups, including water, electric, and waste disposal, adding to the convenience of your camping experience. These amenities are crucial for a comfortable and self-sufficient stay, allowing you to enjoy the natural surroundings without sacrificing modern conveniences.
Cleanliness is a top priority at Anglers Hideaway. According to a recent positive review, the bathroom and shower facilities are well-maintained, contributing to a positive overall experience for campers. Clean and accessible restrooms and showers are fundamental for any campground, and Anglers Hideaway appears to deliver on this aspect.
For those bringing boats, a significant advantage of Anglers Hideaway is the ample parking available for boat trailers. This thoughtful amenity ensures that you have a secure and convenient place to store your trailer while you're out on the water or relaxing at your campsite. This feature is particularly valuable for anglers and boaters who often face challenges finding adequate parking for their equipment.
The host, Steve, has been commended in reviews for being helpful and readily available to assist guests, even while managing a busy campground. A responsive and helpful host can significantly enhance the camping experience, providing assistance with check-in, answering questions, and addressing any concerns that may arise.
However, it's important to present a balanced perspective based on all available information. One recent review detailed a very negative experience involving a prepaid reservation and a lack of on-site assistance. The guest reported arriving to find their reserved site occupied and encountering difficulties in contacting anyone for check-in or resolution. Multiple phone calls and voicemails allegedly went unanswered over several hours, leading the guest to seek alternative accommodations. This review raises concerns about the responsiveness of the management in certain situations and the clarity of the check-in process, particularly the absence of a clearly marked office.
While the majority of feedback seems positive, highlighting the quiet atmosphere, clean facilities, and convenient location, this negative experience serves as a reminder for potential campers to be prepared and perhaps confirm check-in procedures in advance, especially if arriving after hours or during peak seasons. The discrepancy between the positive and negative reviews suggests that while many guests have enjoyed a pleasant stay at Anglers Hideaway, there might be inconsistencies in service or communication that potential visitors should be aware of.
Considering the platform category "camping near me," Anglers Hideaway offers a compelling option for those seeking a campground in the Sekiu area. Its proximity to marinas caters specifically to anglers and boaters, aligning perfectly with the name "Anglers Hideaway." The provision of essential RV hookups and ample boat trailer parking further enhances its appeal within this category.
For local users searching for "camping near me" that offers a peaceful environment and practical amenities, Anglers Hideaway presents several key features:
- Proximity to Marinas: Ideal for fishing and boating enthusiasts with easy access to the water.
- Clean Facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms and showers contribute to a comfortable stay.
- RV Hookups: Water, electric, and waste disposal are available for RV campers.
- Ample Boat Parking: Dedicated space for boat trailers, a significant advantage for those with watercraft.
- Quiet and Laid-Back Atmosphere: A peaceful retreat away from more crowded areas.
While promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews, the positive feedback regarding the environment, services, and features serves as an implicit endorsement. The campground's strengths lie in its location, cleanliness, and amenities tailored to specific user groups like RVers and boat owners.
To summarize, Anglers Hideaway in Sekiu, WA, offers a generally well-regarded camping experience characterized by its quiet setting, clean facilities, and convenient access to marinas. It caters particularly well to those needing RV hookups and boat trailer parking. However, potential visitors should be mindful of the reported issues with check-in and communication and perhaps take proactive steps to ensure a smooth arrival. Despite the single negative review highlighting service concerns, the overall sentiment suggests that Anglers Hideaway can be a great option for your next "camping near me" adventure in the Sekiu area, especially if you value proximity to boating facilities and a tranquil camping environment.
For reservations or inquiries, you can contact Anglers Hideaway at (855) 255-6019 or +1 855-255-6019. While online booking may be available, the experience of one reviewer suggests that direct communication might be beneficial to confirm details, especially regarding check-in procedures.

Anglers Hideaway Reviews
This place was really quiet and laid back. Away from the chaos, but still less than a 5 minute drive to marinas. Grounds were clean. Water, electric, waste hookups all good. Bathroom and shower were clean. Plenty of parking for your boat trailers too. Steve the host was really helpful and always available despite being super busy. I can't say enough good things. Will definitely be back.
Aug 24, 2023 · ChrisIf I could give zero stars, I would, because I received zero service. I booked online an RV site and prepaid several months in advance for 3 nights. I was a bit apprehensive because no where on google maps, nor their park map does it indicate an office for checking in, but I put my concerns aside and booked because it seemed to be a good location with overall good reviews. When I arrive today, with my confirmation page printed and on the seat beside me, not only is there no office to check in at, I drive through the park to the site on my reservation and there is another rig parked there. I looked for anyone in any site as I drove through the park to ask "how do you check in" but there was no one to be found. At the entrance to the park in a sign that says "for reservations, call ....." so I did. I left a voicemail saying I was at the park trying to check in and needed assistance since there was no office and another rig in my site. I made this call at 3:20pm, shortly after check-in hours begin, then I waited. I subsequently made 5 more calls, leaving an additional voicemail looking for help. After nearly 2 hours waiting on site with no response from anyone, I made the choice to move on and find another arrangement. At this point it has been 7 hours as I am writing this and I still have not received a call back. I am glad this location has worked out well for others, but I am shocked at even the most basic concept of returning a phone call is over the heads of this business.
Sep 22, 2023 · WillMy kids and I stayed over the 4th of July weekend and it was great! Very reasonable prices on a short notice reservation. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. There aren't fire pits but they allow fires in anything that keeps the fire off the ground. The morning we were leaving, our car wouldnt start and the owner found some jumper cables for us and gave us a jump. He even offered to give us a ride 10 miles to the closest auto store to get a new battery. I'll definitely be staying there again and I'd strongly recommend this place to my own family. Thank you Anglers Hideaway for a great trip!
Jul 06, 2022 · Robert SimpsonI cannot overstate how wonderful the owners of this park are! They live in a house at the end of the top row and their front porch was always full of people from the local area as well as the park just visiting and enjoying themselves. They also went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute change in travel plans and were so kind and hospitable. We received recommendations of things to do in the local area, Sekiu and Clallam Bay, and were central to activities a bit farther in Neah Bay/Cape Flattery, Forks, and even Port Angeles if you're willing to drive an hour each way.Beyond that, the grounds are well maintained and have full hookups on grassy, relatively-level spaces that are not too tightly packed. An added military/veteran discount (and profound respect from the owners) made it the most affordable park within two hours to boot! We would have stayed longer if I didn't already have reservations made farther south. If you're in the northwestern part of the Olympic Peninsula, do yourself a favor and stay here. :)
Aug 21, 2022 · Elana BurchfieldStayed here the week 7/29-8/4 2021.The RV sites are a bit tight, 20 feet wide by 40 feet long. Mostly level grass. FHU 30 amp. My 38 foot long class a fit snugly. They have a open lot to store trailers and boats.Roads are wide enough to make maneuvering large RV or motor homes fairly easy. At least for me.The people here where really friendly.Verizon phone solid 2 bars. The one big negative was the five dogs wandering off leash and without a human companion. The dogs where friendly but with no one to scoop their poop……I would go backIf coming from the east I suggest continuing on 101 to 113 to 112. 112 out of Port Angeles to Clallam Bay is very tight with several areas that have been washed out.
