Wimp's RV Park on the Lake Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Whitesburg, Georgia, Wimp's RV Park on the Lake, located at 2810 GA-16, Whitesburg, GA 30185, USA, presents itself as a potential option, particularly for those seeking longer-term stays. You can reach them at (470) 414-1315 or +1 470-414-1315 for inquiries about availability and other details.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Wimp's RV Park on the Lake appears to have some appealing aspects, primarily its lakeside location. One reviewer mentions "nice scenery," suggesting that the park benefits from its proximity to a lake, potentially offering waterfront views and possibly access for water-related activities. This could be a significant draw for individuals who enjoy being near the water and appreciate natural surroundings. However, it's important to balance this positive aspect with other feedback regarding the overall atmosphere and management of the park. One former tenant described instances of noise disturbances, including loud vehicles at night, and issues with loose pets (dogs and cats) even during nighttime hours. This suggests that while the natural setting might be attractive, the actual living environment within the park could be less than ideal for those seeking peace and quiet or those concerned about adherence to park rules regarding noise and pets.
In terms of services, the reviews offer limited direct information. The positive feedback from a long-term resident highlights that the "management team is easy to work with and respond whenever I have any questions." This suggests a responsive management presence, which can be crucial for addressing tenant needs and concerns. This resident also mentioned the availability of "several great lots in the park," indicating that there is a variety of spaces to choose from. However, another former monthly tenant shared a negative experience regarding the park's handling of a difficult personal situation. This individual, a disabled veteran recovering from major back surgery, faced financial difficulties due to delays in VA payments and was charged for an extra night despite severe weather conditions hindering their departure and their claim of leaving the site "spotless." This incident raises concerns about the park's flexibility and empathy in dealing with tenant hardships. The same reviewer also alleged that the park does not consistently enforce its own rules regarding noise and loose pets, which could impact the quality of life for other residents.
The features of Wimp's RV Park on the Lake can be partially inferred from its name and the reviews. The "on the Lake" designation clearly indicates a significant feature – access to or views of a lake, which might offer opportunities for fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the waterfront scenery. The positive reviews from long-term residents who appreciate their "spot" suggest that some lots within the park are desirable. However, the negative review points out potential drawbacks that could detract from the overall features of the park as a living environment, such as noise issues and unenforced pet policies. The fact that one reviewer had been living there for 2.5 years and planned to stay another 3.5 years before retirement suggests that the park caters to individuals seeking longer-term or even semi-permanent living arrangements. This might influence the type of amenities and community atmosphere compared to a park primarily catering to short-term travelers. It's important for potential residents to inquire about specific features such as hookups (water, electricity, sewage), laundry facilities, restroom and shower availability, Wi-Fi, and any recreational areas to determine if the park meets their needs.
Regarding promotional information, there are no specific promotions mentioned in the provided reviews. The feedback is primarily focused on personal experiences and observations about living in the park. The positive comments highlight the ease of working with management and the satisfaction of some long-term residents with their chosen lots. However, the negative review serves as a cautionary note, detailing an experience that the former tenant felt was inconsiderate and indicating potential issues with rule enforcement and the overall living environment. This lack of promotional content suggests that prospective residents should rely heavily on direct communication with the park management and perhaps seek additional, unbiased reviews or testimonials to get a well-rounded understanding of what Wimp's RV Park on the Lake offers.
In conclusion, Wimp's RV Park on the Lake in Whitesburg, Georgia, offers a lakeside setting that some residents appreciate. The management is described as easy to work with by at least one long-term tenant, and there are apparently "great lots" available. However, a significant negative review raises concerns about the park's handling of tenant emergencies, the consistent enforcement of park rules regarding noise and pets, and the overall value proposition considering the reported issues. Potential residents, especially those seeking a quiet and well-managed environment, should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence before deciding to stay at Wimp's RV Park on the Lake. When searching for "RV parks near me," it is advisable to look for parks with more consistently positive reviews and transparent information regarding their services, features, and policies. Direct communication with the management to address the concerns raised in the reviews and to inquire about current rules and regulations is strongly recommended for anyone considering Wimp's RV Park on the Lake for either short-term or long-term stays.

Mar 28, 2024 · John KohanI'm a disabled veteran and I was a monthly tenant at this RV Park. I had major back surgery and the VA wasn't paying the money that they were supposed to so I couldn't afford to stay there anymore. The day I was supposed to leave, it was pouring down rain and on a Friday, 1st of February 2024. I couldn't get help over there back of the rain. It rained all day. I couldn't do it myself because of my back surgery. The park charged me for that one night. I had help over there early the next morning and was out of there asap. I text her as soon as I left it spotless and there was no reason for her not to give a little break. I was a good tenant. I didn't make problems. I was quiet, clean and no pets. They still charged me for one night. I feel like she could have made an exception considering my situation. They have people there that make noise all the time. Even cranking up loud vehicles at night. Letting there dog's and cats run loose even at night. Sure it has some nice scenery but it really isn't worth what you pay to live there. This place is very anti - Veteran and could care less about managing the park according to the rules that they have in place.
Mar 03, 2024 · Chris MitchellSo far so good. Really nice spot. Only downside is internet service is difficult
Oct 20, 2024 · James BishopLots of mid to long term campers. They will take overnight stays when available. Gravel lots, full hookups. Very quiet.
Sep 18, 2023 · Ken JonesGood place, but there's always a waiting list and are kinda hard to get in touch with
