Chattahoochee R.V.park Introduce
Seeking "RV parks near me" in the Franklin, Georgia area? Chattahoochee R.V. Park, located at 547 5 Notch Rd, Franklin, GA 30217, USA, presents a location with potentially beautiful surroundings near the Chattahoochee River. However, a review of the available customer feedback reveals significantly contrasting experiences, particularly concerning the park management. It is essential for prospective RVers to carefully consider these differing perspectives when evaluating this park for their travel needs.
One positive aspect highlighted in a recent review is the park's environment. The reviewer described it as having "beautiful surroundings," suggesting that the location near the Chattahoochee River contributes to an attractive and potentially peaceful setting. Proximity to the river could offer opportunities for scenic walks, nature observation, and a generally tranquil atmosphere that many RV travelers appreciate. The reviewer also noted that the park is "quiet," which is a significant advantage for those seeking a relaxing getaway.
Furthermore, the same positive review praised the "genuine hospitality" received from the staff members, Sandra and Mike. The reviewer recounted an experience of arriving late due to their own navigational error, during which Sandra provided immediate assistance over the phone and offered a refund despite the mistake being theirs. Upon arrival after 10 pm, Mike personally guided them to their site with a flashlight. This level of dedication and helpfulness suggests a commitment to guest satisfaction and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure a smooth arrival, even outside of regular hours. The reviewer's intention to return indicates a positive overall impression of the hospitality provided.
However, a starkly contrasting review paints a very different picture of the park management, specifically naming "the manager Sandra." This reviewer gave the park a one-star rating (wishing for zero) due to alleged "belittling and harassment" concerning their disabilities and handicaps. The accusations include Sandra reportedly making fun of their disabilities and even timing their bathroom and shower usage. This raises serious concerns about the park's inclusivity and respect for guests with disabilities. The reviewer also reported being denied permission for a storage structure while a neighboring family with Sandra's approval brought a large shed on-site, indicating potential inconsistencies in rule enforcement.
Adding to the negative experience, the same reviewer stated that the shower and bathroom facilities had been unusable for several months. When this was brought to Sandra's attention, the response was allegedly, "if I didn't like it I could leave." The reviewer, who has trouble walking due to their disabilities, also reported being told they could not wait for their laundry but had to walk back and forth multiple times, contrasting with a previous tenant who was supposedly allowed to stay overnight in the bathroom and laundry room with a dog without issue. These allegations paint a concerning picture of potentially discriminatory behavior and a lack of adequate facilities maintenance.
The significant disparity between the two reviews makes it challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the services and features at Chattahoochee R.V. Park. The positive review suggests a willingness to assist guests beyond expectations, at least in some instances. However, the serious allegations in the negative review regarding the usability of essential facilities and the treatment of a guest with disabilities cannot be ignored. Prospective RVers would need to independently verify the current condition of amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, and the availability of standard RV hookups (water, electricity, sewer). The contrasting accounts of management responsiveness also highlight the need for caution and perhaps seeking direct interaction with the current management to gauge their approach to guest relations and facility maintenance.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in either of the provided reviews. Therefore, it is impossible to comment on any special rates, discounts, or unique offers that Chattahoochee R.V. Park might be providing. To obtain information regarding pricing, availability, and any current promotions, it is essential to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers: 472-0058 or +1 4720058. When calling, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about the condition of the facilities and the park's policies regarding guests with disabilities to address the concerns raised in the negative review.
In conclusion, Chattahoochee R.V. Park in Franklin, GA, offers a potentially attractive environment near the Chattahoochee River and has received praise for the hospitality of at least two staff members. However, serious allegations of belittling and harassment towards a guest with disabilities, coupled with reports of unusable facilities and inconsistent rule enforcement, present significant concerns. Prospective RVers should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before making a reservation. Direct communication with the park management is crucial to ascertain the current state of the facilities, understand their policies, and address the serious allegations raised in the negative feedback. While the positive review suggests a pleasant stay is possible, the negative account indicates the potential for significant challenges. Therefore, approaching Chattahoochee R.V. Park requires a balanced perspective and a commitment to gathering current and comprehensive information.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Franklin, GA, Chattahoochee R.V. Park presents a complex picture. The beautiful surroundings and instances of genuine hospitality are appealing. However, the serious allegations regarding the treatment of a guest with disabilities and the condition of the facilities cannot be overlooked. Potential visitors should contact the park directly to seek clarification and current information, keeping in mind the significant concerns raised in the available customer feedback. It may also be wise to explore other RV park options in the area to ensure a comfortable and respectful travel experience.

Chattahoochee R.V.park Reviews
First, I would like to say that I read all the reviews, as I do for anywhere we go, and everyone should keep in mind that reviews are one sided and that the whole story is not always reflected in the review. Initially when I called, I did get a return call within a few minutes, Sandra was so sweet and helpful despite being obviously under the weather. Her voice was practically gone but she continued to be committed to her job. Mind you, I had been looking at several Rv friendly locations for a couple days. I went ahead and booked 2 nights. When we finished work and we were on our way to the park, I put a different location in my gps because the names were similar. When we were with a ranger at the wrong location at 9:30 at night, I took a chance calling the number Sandra had called me from and she answered right away. She apologized like it was her fault and offered to refund the first nights rate but it was clearly our mistake. We finally arrived well after 10 pm and as we were entering the park I see a person with a flashlight crossing the road so I’m thinking it’s someone going to the bathroom or shower. The flashlight starts motioning for us to follow and it was Mike leading us to our site and guiding us into our site. The good reviews far outweigh the bad. We for one, will be coming back here. It’s quiet, beautiful surroundings and genuine hospitality from Sandra and Mike.
Apr 23, 2023 · Sandra BrockI gave it a one star only because I can't give it a zero. Almost the entire time I was there, I felt I was belittled and harassed by the manager Sandra who frequently made fun of and made disparaging remarks concerning my disabilities and handicaps , even to the point of timing how long I was using the bathroom or took a shower. I was told we weren't allowed any long term or physical structures for storage when I asked to put one behind my RV, yet the family that moved in next to me brought a huge storage shed on site with Sandra's blessing. There hasn't been a useable shower or bathroom facility there for several months, and I was told if I didn't like it I could leave. I have trouble walking as part of my disabilities, and was told that if I used the laundry I was not allowed to wait for my clothes but had to walk back and forth several times to do it, even though a previous tenant there was allowed to basically sleep overnight In the ladies bathroom and the laundry room with her dog with no issues whatsoever from sandra. I was told if I don't like it I could leave. I would not recommend this place as it appears to be unfriendly towards those of us with disabilities and handicaps and I would not recommend it to anyone at all. Some of the tenants there are actually quite nice however the management issue is decidedly disparaging.
Nov 09, 2021 · link wrayMe and my husband love this place! The view is great and gorgeous! We stayed for 6 months. Sandra is a very great host! We're gonna miss it there. We already do! Lol We had issues with wet grass from the morning ice and my husband just needs to upgrade his truck to a 4x4 LOL 😂 but when we called her. She came right over to help us out. She goes over and beyond to help her guests. I Love that about her. Very considerate. Thanks Sandra for a great stay. Also the rate stay is awesome! We would definitely return if we have to and recommend to friends and family. 😊💯
Feb 25, 2021 · StormilleniumThe park is very nice, the people there are nice but the owners and manager are shaddy. Get your rental agreement in writing or they will change it on you. We were told it was $350 for the month and rent was due on the 3rd but had to be paid by the end of the day on the 5th or we had to move. So the last month we were there we planned to move on the 5th. On the 4th the manager called and threatened to issue a warrent on my friend unless we paid the full month or $150. We ended up talking them down to $55 but it was still money we didn't need to spend. Very shady owners!
Oct 06, 2019 · Callie PursleyThe laundry room was a disaster. The lady that runs the place is rude and disrespectful even though she acts like she's a nice person.
