Fit a 34.5 foot trailer in one of the pull through spots. Was a windy road up there. Lake is pretty small and has a lot of Lilly pad growth so I recommend fishing lures and not trying to bottom fish. We went after season so camping was free and there weren't many people. No powered boats allowed. No Verizon signal. Quick climb to a hilltop for at&t signal. - V0haygatron

Fiddlers Lake Campground Introduce

Are you searching for the perfect "camping near me" getaway? Look no further than Fiddlers Lake Campground, nestled within the breathtaking Shoshone National Forest near Lander, Wyoming. This idyllic campground offers a tranquil escape into nature, providing a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located at Forest Road #307, Lander, WY 82520, USA, Fiddlers Lake Campground is a haven for those seeking natural beauty and peaceful surroundings.

Fiddlers Lake Campground boasts a stunning natural environment. Situated within the Shoshone National Forest, campers are surrounded by lush greenery, towering trees, and the serene Fiddlers Lake itself. The air is fresh and crisp, offering a welcome change from urban environments. The lake, while described by a visitor as relatively small with significant lily pad growth, adds to the picturesque scenery and offers opportunities for leisurely lakeside activities. Please note that due to the lily pads, it is recommended to use fishing lures rather than attempting to bottom fish. The absence of powered boats on the lake contributes to the campground's peaceful ambiance, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature.

While specific details regarding services and amenities are not extensively available online, user reviews provide some valuable insights. One camper successfully accommodated a 34.5-foot trailer in one of the pull-through spots, indicating that the campground offers sites suitable for larger recreational vehicles. However, it's worth noting that the road leading up to the campground is reported to be windy, so drivers should exercise caution. The positive feedback regarding the campground hosts suggests a welcoming and well-maintained environment. The emphasis on peace and quiet in the reviews highlights the campground's appeal for those seeking a relaxing retreat.

A unique feature of Fiddlers Lake Campground, as mentioned by a visitor, is the lack of Verizon cell phone signal. However, an AT&T signal can be found with a quick climb to a nearby hilltop. This limited connectivity can be seen as a double-edged sword. While it might present a challenge for those who need to stay constantly connected, it also offers a rare opportunity to truly disconnect from technology and fully embrace the natural surroundings. Many find this digital detox to be a significant advantage, allowing for deeper relaxation and immersion in the camping experience. As one reviewer aptly put it, they "loved that there is no cell service," emphasizing the appeal of a truly undisturbed natural escape.

Based on the available information, Fiddlers Lake Campground is characterized by its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and the welcoming nature of its hosts. The lake, despite its size and lily pad growth, offers a scenic backdrop for camping. The availability of pull-through sites can accommodate larger trailers, though the windy access road should be considered. The limited cell service encourages a digital detox, allowing campers to fully appreciate the tranquility of the Shoshone National Forest.

For those seeking an authentic camping experience away from the crowds and the constant connectivity of modern life, Fiddlers Lake Campground offers a genuine escape.
