Important Considerations for Your Visit
Based on the valuable feedback from previous visitors, here are a few important points to keep in mind when planning your trip to Antelope Flat Reservoir Campground:
- Navigation: To ensure you reach the campground directly, it is crucial to input "Antelope Flat Reservoir Campground" specifically into your GPS device. Simply searching for "Antelope Flats Reservoir" might lead you to a different location, potentially away from the lake access and camping area.
- Road Conditions: One reviewer noted that the "drive is a bit rough." This suggests that the road leading to the campground might be unpaved or have uneven surfaces. Consider the type of vehicle you will be driving and exercise caution, especially if you have a low-clearance vehicle.
- Weather Preparedness: Be prepared for significant temperature variations between day and night, as well as the possibility of intermittent winds. Packing layers of clothing and ensuring you have adequate shelter will be essential for your comfort. Don't forget sunscreen for those potentially hot days!
- Permits and Licenses: If you plan on fishing, boating, or hunting in the area, make absolutely sure you have the required permits and licenses from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife or other relevant authorities. Failure to do so can result in fines.

Antelope Flat Reservoir Campground Reviews
Very fun, nice and quiet when we went up. Cought some fishys. Drive is a bit rough. To actually get to the lake make sure you put in the campground into your gps not just antelope flats reservoir or you will not get taken to the lake.
Oct 15, 2019 · Christopher PGorgeous, secluded spot. Perfect for camping, boating and fishing! Be aware of temps before you go though... cold nights, hot days, with intermittant winds. Bring sunscreen!! Also, make sure you have your hunting/fishing/boat permits/licensing if you go, so you don't get fined. Just an overall great, quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 🙂
May 13, 2021 · Rachel N SkinnerJust to be nice I gave it 5 stars but I never made it! Google Maps gave directions approaching this site from the south. The last 4 mile stretch is a private road and says no trespassing. From what i could see it looked pretty rough, like more suited for ATVs anyway. Follow the only directions given on the campsite's USDA website, approaching from the north, coming from Prineville instead of coming from Bend (the South). Safe travels!
May 26, 2019 · Trent SergiNice isolated. I camped here for 3 days. If you take Google maps go through Prineville. If you go through Bend, it will route you through some undrivable private property with gates. No clean water so you have to pack it in. Resovoir is peaceful, unpopulated, and quiet.
Aug 31, 2019 · Daniel FrankIt's a lovely little lake with camping and boat ramp. The water was muddy from weather. Peacefull camping
