Recent customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the staff and management of Arcadia Peace River Campground. One review details a negative experience with RV storage, alleging careless handling of an RV resulting in a damaged tire and an unhelpful and rude response from the office staff. The reviewer strongly advises against storing RVs at this location and expresses disappointment in the lack of communication and accountability regarding the damage. This raises serious concerns about the level of care and responsibility taken by the staff regarding customers' property.
Another review describes a deeply negative experience during a stay at the campsite, citing unfair targeting and discriminatory behavior by the staff. The reviewer alleges being singled out for minor infractions while more dangerous activities by others were ignored. Furthermore, they claim to have been followed and constantly scrutinized by staff, denied the ability to wash their vehicle, and ultimately demanded to leave the premises without just cause. The reviewer mentions having video evidence to support their claims and intends to share it publicly. This review highlights significant issues with staff behavior, fairness, and customer service, suggesting a potentially hostile and unwelcoming environment for some guests.
A brief additional comment from another reviewer seems to corroborate issues with staff attitude, specifically mentioning a staff member's complaint about getting dirty while working outdoors with four-wheelers. This suggests a potential disconnect between staff expectations and the nature of the campground environment, which could contribute to negative interactions with guests.
Given these serious and consistent negative reviews concerning staff behavior and customer service, local users considering Arcadia Peace River Campground for their "camping near me" needs should proceed with extreme caution. While the location along the Peace River might offer a pleasant natural setting, the reported issues with staff attitude, unfair treatment, and lack of responsibility for customer property are significant red flags. It is strongly recommended that potential visitors contact the campground directly to inquire about their policies and procedures, and perhaps seek clarification regarding the issues raised in the reviews. However, the negative feedback suggests a potential pattern of problematic customer interactions that local users should be fully aware of before making a reservation.
Promotional information for Arcadia Peace River Campground is not provided in the given data. Local users would need to contact the campground directly or check their website (if available) for any special offers, seasonal rates, or discounts for local residents. Given the serious customer service concerns raised in the reviews, it might be prudent to prioritize addressing these concerns directly with the management before inquiring about any promotional deals. Ensuring a positive and respectful interaction with the staff and a clear understanding of their policies would likely be more important than any potential discounts.
In conclusion, Arcadia Peace River Campground offers a location along the Peace River in Arcadia, Florida, which could be appealing to local residents seeking "camping near me." However, recent customer reviews have highlighted significant and concerning issues regarding staff behavior, customer service, and the handling of customer property. Local users considering this campground should be aware of these serious allegations and are strongly advised to proceed with caution, conduct thorough inquiries directly with the campground management regarding these issues, and carefully consider the potential for a negative experience based on the feedback from other campers. While the natural environment might hold some appeal, the reported problems with staff interactions and management practices could overshadow any positive aspects of the location. Therefore, local campers should weigh these factors carefully before choosing Arcadia Peace River Campground for their outdoor getaway.

Arcadia Peace River Campground Reviews
If you are planning on storing your RV at this location, do yourself a favor and don't do it. Last week, we had a trip planned and notified them 24 hours in advance that we would be picking up our RV, as required. Upon arrival, we discovered that one of the tires was completely destroyed. Fortunately, we had a spare and were able to replace it. However, when we notified the woman in the office, who, I must say, has a very nasty attitude, she stated that they are not responsible for the damage. While I understand that they may not be responsible for damages beyond their control, I find it unacceptable that employees appear to have been careless while moving RVs and did not even have the decency to notify us of the damage. We were traveling with a baby, and it is fortunate that we discovered the issue before leaving, as an accident could have occurred. I am very disappointed and believe they should at least hire employees who care about the customers' property. The front desk staff should also improve their attitude toward paying customers.
Apr 23, 2025 · Thalia PortoI recently stayed at this campsite, and while the location itself was decent, the experience was completely overshadowed by the behavior of the staff. From the moment I arrived, it became clear that their priorities were entirely misplaced. Instead of addressing genuinely dangerous activities—such as people bringing in glass bottles or recklessly speeding in side-by-sides—they chose to single me out over something as minor as riding a quad. What’s worse, I was unfairly targeted for alleged issues while others engaged in far riskier behavior without consequence. I was followed for the rest of the day, constantly scrutinized, while those breaking the rules and putting others in harm’s way were ignored. To make matters worse, they didn’t even allow me to wash my four-wheeler, further showing how I was being unfairly treated. The situation escalated when a second staff member showed up. I informed him that I had everything on camera, but when he asked me to show him the video, he immediately dismissed it without even reviewing the evidence. It was clear to me that they had no interest in resolving the issue fairly, and the entire experience left me feeling deeply discriminated against. To add insult to injury, the staff approached my family and demanded we leave the premises without just cause. I have video evidence to back up my claims and will be sharing it publicly to shed light on how poorly managed and discriminatory this campsite truly is. No one should have to endure such unfair treatment while real issues go ignored. He mentioned how i got him dirty like dude grow up you work outside with 4 wheelers mud slinging everywhere if u don't wanna get dirty get an office job this ain't the job for you
Jan 21, 2025 · Jared LI came here about 17 years ago and had the best time primitive camping. Came this weekend with a camper and while I had a great time it isn't what I remembered. They charge way too much money for what you get, my camping weekend cost close to $1000 between campsite, extra pp fee and golf cart rental (while fun to have, $400 isn't worth it) I didn't book so I wasn't aware of all the extra fees. It's a shame because I'd love to make this place my "home camp," but I just can't afford it, sadly.
Feb 17, 2025 · Donna Mirance GodekMy experience was bad because we got stuck in the river and we had to head towards the river to get out and we had to accelerate and a lady called a park ranger and he treated us badly. We were explaining to him what happened and he wouldn't let us speak. A very bad experience.
Apr 27, 2025 · Esteban DaviuI have been going to this camp ground for 32 years. Loved the place, but last week we spent 6 days there and was very disappointed. I don't mind the 4 wheelers and the other vehicles, but some of them were very rude. 10pm is quite time! We did go up front and complained. Didn't matter.People did what ever they wantedtill well after midnight and trucks doing donuts on the beach at 3:15am.Not a happy camper this visit. Not sure we will be back.
