Au Train Beach Campground Reviews
Friendliest campground we ever visited! They ultimately want to make sure you are comfortable with the place you booked and will give you the option to switch if you don’t like the particular space you booked so just know you have the option. Very accommodating and kind! We stuck with our TP tent which was roomy and nice! You can walk right across the beach to swim or have fires right on the sand at night! It’s beautiful and relaxing. Showers and bathrooms are nice and clean. Everything is is close in proximity to drive to. We drove 8 hours and called it paradise! Hopefully we can make it back some day!
Aug 05, 2024 · Ashley LantzWe stayed in a yurt with electricity, it was perfect. The kids loved playing pickleball and on the playground; the wi-fi was an unexpected bonus. The employees were friendly and kind; super helpful with all of our questions and knowledgeable of the area and points of interest. The location is super conveniently located to all the things we wanted to see (waterfalls, kayaking, great food at The Duck Pond, shopping, etc) yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the woods. Our site was clean, well maintained, and safe. We will be back, thank you!
Jul 24, 2024 · Mariah ErvinCampsites are small- we fit a 6-8 person tent and a canopy on it. Many of them are on a slanted slope. Not all are maintained. Bring a rake. Check out is at 11 but they allowed someone to start moving into our site the day we were packing up at 9:40 AM. Luckily we were just finishing up, still very rude of the campground staff considering check in is at 3PM. So I’m assuming you can check in whenever you want. Also QUITE time is strict. 10 PM! This is NOT a secluded campground at all and trust me they will threaten to kick you out if someone complains. Would not recommend it if you have a loud group. Beach is directly across, to cross over is not a hassle stay close and hustle over you’ll be fine. Lots to do/see nearby. Mosquitos are ruthless, bring good spray. We took bug spray with more deet and it seemed to work. Overall not terrible just wasn’t a place for my loud group.
Jul 22, 2024 · Erin LeeOur stay at Au Train Beach Campground, specifically in the Safari Tent, was an exceptional experience! The safari tent provided a level of comfort and convenience that made glamping :) incredibly enjoyable.First and foremost, the tent was immaculately clean and well-maintained. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and attention to detail, which is a significant plus when you're camping. The comfortable furnishings and spacious interior of the safari tent made it great and quote an upgrade form regular tent.It was such a relief not to have to set up traditional tents and deal with the usual camping gear. The safari tent was equipped with everything we needed, from comfortable beds to lighting and seating arrangements. This made our camping experience much more relaxed and allowed us to focus on other things and not pack and upack for hours.
Jan 12, 2024 · Dimo RaychevThis place is overpriced eyecandy! It looks fun, but it is not practical. lt is also farther from the beach than it looks. There is no electricity in the units, and for how much they cost, there should be. Also, the "mattresses " are futons, which are terrible to sleep on. The showers look new and nice, but again, eye candy. When you get in them, they are gross, and there is mold on the walls. Need a good cleaning. Also, the water smelled so bad I could barely shower. It was gagging. The campground is located on a busy highway, so you can hear cars all night long. You can't park by your site. There are two parking lots to park in. On Saturday, we got back late, and there was nowhere to park. There were two other people driving around looking for a spot, too. We all ended up parking illegally because there was nowhere else to park. Long story short...don't waste your money here.
