Boulder Woods Campground Introduce
For local users in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas searching within the "camping near me" category, Boulder Woods Campground, located at 1050 Skymount Rd, Green Lane, PA 18054, USA, presents a camping and RV park option. With contact available via phone at (215) 257-7178 or mobile at +1 215-257-7178, Boulder Woods Campground offers a variety of amenities and appears to cater to both RV travelers and tent campers. Based on recent customer reviews, the campground has both positive aspects and areas where some campers have noted concerns. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview for local users considering Boulder Woods Campground for their next outdoor getaway.
The environment at Boulder Woods Campground is described as a "nice RV park and campground," suggesting a setting that accommodates different types of camping. The mention of a "waterfall" as one of the amenities indicates a potentially scenic environment with natural or artificial water features. The overall atmosphere is reported to be "quiet," which can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful camping experience away from noise. However, one review of a primitive tent site experience early in the season suggests that certain aspects of the environment or facilities might be less appealing during colder periods. The campground is likely located in a wooded or semi-wooded area, typical of Pennsylvania, providing shade and a natural backdrop for camping. Local users searching for "camping near me" who appreciate a quieter setting with some scenic elements might find Boulder Woods Campground to be a suitable option, particularly during warmer months when all amenities are fully operational.
The services at Boulder Woods Campground appear to be a mix of standard and potentially premium offerings. A "nice store" is mentioned, which is a convenient amenity for campers needing supplies or souvenirs. The availability of a "laundry room" is highlighted as a positive, especially for longer stays or RV travelers. However, one camper noted that primitive tent sites were charged at $40 early in the season and that the bathrooms were "dirty" and lacked heaters, which could be a concern for those camping during colder periods. Firewood is available for purchase, but at $8 per bundle, it was considered $3 more than average by one reviewer. The campground also employs a "very loud speaker system" to announce quiet time at 11 pm, which, while intended to ensure a peaceful night, might be disruptive to light sleepers. For RV campers, the park seems well-equipped, though one reviewer noted that their site was "a little small" for a larger rig and tow vehicle. Overall, the services seem to cover basic needs with some additional conveniences, but potential tent campers, especially during off-peak seasons, should inquire about bathroom conditions and heating.
The features of Boulder Woods Campground are listed as "numerous amenities including pool, play area, waterfall and more." The presence of a pool suggests a significant recreational feature that would be particularly appealing during the summer months, as noted by one reviewer. A play area indicates family-friendly facilities suitable for children. The waterfall adds a scenic element to the campground. The "and more" suggests that there might be other amenities such as recreational fields, game rooms, or planned activities, though these are not specified in the provided reviews. One camper in a primitive tent site noted the absence of a picnic table at their site, unlike others, which could be an oversight or a difference in site types. The availability of a laundry room is a practical feature for extended stays. For local users searching for "camping near me" with family-friendly amenities like a pool and play area, Boulder Woods Campground appears to offer these. However, it's advisable to inquire about the specific features available at individual campsites, especially for tent campers, to ensure they meet your needs.
Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not explicitly mention any current discounts or special offers for Boulder Woods Campground. To find any potential promotions, local users searching within the "camping near me" category should check online platforms that list campgrounds in the Green Lane, PA area. These platforms often have sections for deals, seasonal rates, or package offers. Additionally, contacting Boulder Woods Campground directly via phone at (215) 257-7178 or +1 215-257-7178 would be the most reliable way to inquire about any current specials, especially for primitive tent sites during different times of the season, RV site rates, or any discounts for longer stays or local residents. It might also be worth asking about the availability and cost of amenities like firewood and laundry to factor these into the overall cost of a camping trip.
For local users considering Boulder Woods Campground based on the "camping near me" platform category, it's important to balance the positive aspects with the reported concerns. The presence of amenities like a pool, play area, and laundry is attractive, as is the generally quiet atmosphere. However, potential tent campers, especially during the early or late season, should be aware of the reported issues with bathroom cleanliness and the lack of heating. The pricing for primitive tent sites was also noted as high by one reviewer. RV campers might find the park well-suited to their needs, though site sizes can vary. The loud speaker system for quiet time might be a minor inconvenience for some. It is recommended that local users research recent reviews on various "camping near me" platforms to get a broader sense of current conditions and services.
Local users who prioritize amenities like a pool and play area, and who are camping during warmer months, might find Boulder Woods Campground to be a good option. RV travelers looking for a quiet park with laundry facilities might also be satisfied. However, tent campers should inquire specifically about the condition of the tent sites and bathroom facilities, especially if camping during off-peak seasons. It would also be prudent to confirm the presence of a picnic table at the chosen site. Comparing prices for primitive tent sites with other campgrounds in the "camping near me" vicinity would also be a wise step. Overall, Boulder Woods Campground offers a range of features, but recent feedback suggests that the experience can vary depending on the type of camping and the time of year.
In conclusion, Boulder Woods Campground in Green Lane, PA, offers a local "camping near me" option with amenities such as a pool, play area, and laundry. It appears to cater to both RV and tent campers in a generally quiet environment. However, potential visitors should be aware of reported concerns regarding the cost and condition of primitive tent sites and bathroom facilities, particularly during colder months. Local users are encouraged to consult recent reviews on "camping near me" platforms and contact the campground directly to obtain the most up-to-date information on services, site features, pricing, and any current promotions to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.

Boulder Woods Campground Reviews
Just OK campground. Nice store. They charge too much for primitive tent site, $40. Especially that early in the season. No heaters in the dirty bathrooms. A plus is laundry room. They charge $3 more than avg.$8 for a bundle of wood.. A very loud speaker system that wakes you up at 11pm just to tell you it's quiet time. I'm sure it's much better during the summer when the pool is open. My site didn't have a table like the rest. Luckily, sites next to mine were empty so I used their table.
Apr 27, 2024 · Christopher SpencerNice RV park and campground. There are numerous amenities including pool, play area , waterfall and more. Our site was a little small for our rig and tow vehicle. Enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and clean.
Sep 08, 2024 · Wayne AndersThis is a family owned campground and the owners run it with pride. We couldn't park our 33' travel trailer on the pull through site (Elm 1) due to the lack of room but, Bill used his tractor to not only park it but to level it as well....that's service! We were very closed to the main store, pools, and everything they had to offer. The disc golf course was cool! The all you can eat breakfast buffet was fantastic and we can't wait to go back!
