Based on glowing reviews from satisfied campers, Brush Creek Park provides a welcoming environment with ample space, beautiful views, and opportunities for various outdoor activities.
The environment at Brush Creek Park is consistently praised for its beauty and tranquility. One reviewer describes it as a "beautiful, peaceful campground," highlighting its serene atmosphere. The park is particularly noted for its scenic vistas, offering a "Great place to watch the sunrise and sunset." Imagine waking up to the golden hues of dawn or unwinding as the sky transforms into a canvas of evening colors – Brush Creek Park provides the perfect backdrop for these moments of natural beauty. The spaciousness of the campsites further enhances the feeling of being immersed in nature without feeling crowded.
Brush Creek Park offers a range of features and services designed to enhance the camping experience. For RV enthusiasts, the park boasts "All of the spots are tar and gravel for RV’s and spaced at least 30 yards from each other most of them more than that." This generous spacing between sites is a significant advantage, providing a sense of privacy and ample room to maneuver and set up camp. While the park "do not have full hookups," it does offer the convenience of "a dump station" for RV waste disposal. Water and electrical hookups are not mentioned, suggesting that RVers should come prepared for dry camping or with their own power and water solutions.
Tent campers are also well-catered to at Brush Creek Park. One reviewer who stayed in a tent site for a night described it as a "Perfect camping night!" The positive interaction with the park staff, particularly "Joe," who greeted the camper warmly and even waived the fee for a single night's stay, highlights the friendly and welcoming service. This anecdote suggests a level of hospitality that goes above and beyond, making campers feel valued.
Recreational opportunities abound at Brush Creek Park. For families, there is "a large playground area," although it is noted that "it’s not made for toddlers," so families with very young children should be aware of this. The presence of "a large pavilion" offers a covered space for gatherings, picnics, or other activities, providing a communal area for campers to enjoy. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the opportunity to "fish and kayak" at the park, suggesting access to a suitable body of water, likely Brush Creek itself or a nearby pond or lake. This allows for peaceful days on the water, whether casting a line or paddling along the gentle currents.
The park also provides essential facilities for campers' comfort and convenience. There are "several bathrooms and one bathhouse," indicating that while the facilities might be basic, they are available for campers to use. One reviewer candidly addresses comments about the age of the bathrooms, stating, "The bathroom is old. So what. It works. Get over it!" This suggests that while the facilities might not be modern or luxurious, they are functional and adequately serve the needs of campers. This down-to-earth perspective emphasizes the focus on the overall camping experience rather than solely on high-end amenities.
Regarding promotional information, the most concrete detail provided is the nightly rate in October: "$25 a night." This affordable price point, especially considering the spacious sites and scenic environment, makes Brush Creek Park an attractive option for budget-conscious campers. The act of waiving the fee for a single night tent camper could be seen as a gesture of goodwill and excellent customer service, potentially encouraging future visits and positive word-of-mouth referrals. However, it is important to note that this might have been a unique act of kindness rather than a standard promotion.
The consistent positive feedback from reviewers, emphasizing the amazing camping experience, beautiful and peaceful environment, spacious sites, and friendly service, serves as a strong form of implicit promotion for Brush Creek Park. The willingness of campers to share their positive experiences highlights the value and enjoyment offered by this campground. Local users searching for "camping near me" will likely be encouraged by these genuine testimonials.
In conclusion, Brush Creek Park in Franklin, GA, offers a wonderful "camping near me" option characterized by its spacious RV and tent sites, stunning sunrise and sunset views, and a tranquil atmosphere. The availability of a dump station caters to RVers, while the opportunities for fishing and kayaking appeal to nature lovers. Families will appreciate the large playground (though not for toddlers) and the communal pavilion. While the bathroom facilities are described as older but functional, the overall positive experiences and the affordable nightly rate of $25 (as of October) make Brush Creek Park a highly recommended destination for those seeking a peaceful and scenic camping getaway in the Franklin area. The friendly service, as highlighted by the interaction with "Joe," further enhances the welcoming nature of this excellent campground.

Oct 29, 2024 · The Resourceful StewardWow! What a beautiful, peaceful campground! I called about 2 weeks ago and talked to Joe about a tent site for one night. It was a stopping point on my drive from Florida to Michigan. Joe said just show up.So when I got there, Joe greeted me. I asked the price for a tent site. He grinned and just waved me through. I gave him a big thank you and blew him a kiss.Perfect camping night! For all those who leave whiney reviews about the bathroom, you have obviously never done real primitive camping where you have to dig a hole and clean up with half dried out baby wipes. The bathroom is old. So what. It works. Get over it!Super excellent camping experience in my opinion!
Jul 10, 2022 · R BroderickI gave 5 stars because after you get to know him is kind and caring and goes out of his way for the campers! I have been going to this campground since I was 14 years old, and I am 49 years old now! I love It! It is a Quite and family oriented camp ground right off the add a Chattahoochee River and also is branches off West Point Lake! The campsites are large and private, there are 3 bath houses (one with showers) however, the lady Shirley that takes care of the bathrooms does not do a good job at all and she talks about the ranger and is very unprofessional! She is messy and she is a horrible person that lies about the trouble she stirs up. As long as I have NO dealings with Shirley i would prefer this campground over any other on West Point Lake! I have have over 4 decades of memories and fun at this campground! It also has a playground and a large area to play softball, kickball, dodge ball, badminton or any other sports! You can take a electric golf cart and there is a lot is history about the American Indians, trails and much more! There are only 34 sites and it is just perfect! The ONLY REASON I DIDN'T RATE IT 5 stars was because of then issues with one of the workers there!
Apr 29, 2019 · Kelly TysonThe natural beauty of this place is astounding! However, maintenance and upkeep are severely lacking. I will NEVER camp here again.Tent pads are overgrown and full of ants. We've been camping for years and we understand that there are bugs and things in nature but I have never seen camping grounds with such a bad ant problem. This park has the nastiest bathrooms I have ever seen! My children and I walked in to take a shower, took a quick look around and walked right back out. Someone with an RV was kind enough to let us use their outside spigot and we washed up in our bathing suits. I have a special needs child and the Handicap Accessible shower was broken anyways. Actually 2 of the 3 showers were broken, missing shower heads and or handles. It's a terrible shame this place isn't taken better care of.
