Aug 15, 2024 · Camilo DavilaMy wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Bucksport KOA Holiday while visiting Acadia. We were met by Seth at check-in who was very helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was very clean, well decorated. We were very impressed with how quiet and clean the campground was kept. A campground you can tell the owners (Dave & Marlene) take great pride in! Thanks for your kind hospitality.Mike & Deb H
Aug 29, 2024 · Michael HarrisWe are staying at the KOA Fort Knox/Bucksport in Maine. For the most part we have had a very pleasurable experience here. The pool was nice. All of the employees were nice except one. I don't know his name but he was wearing a yellow KOA polo shirt so I know he works here. My daughter and I were gathering firewood that was stacked close to our campsite here in the campground until this rude man yelled at us from up by the office. "Hey, that wood isn't to burn!". I yelled back "what's it for?" He yelled back "ME!"My question, is it reasonable for campers to believe this is meant to be burned? It's literally stacked next to our campsite. There is no sign stating the wood is not available for customers. There is no indication it is for sale or anything other than free firewood stacked for the enjoyment of campers. I don't want the employees to get fired but it was very rude! It needs to be addressed and I'll update tomorrow.I don't know who this employee is but I think I will talk to management about it in the morning when we checkout, this is our last night. This is our camper in the background. What would you have done?
Aug 09, 2024 · ScottNice campground, good location, friendly staff. My biggest annoyance was my chain smoking neighbor that sat outside smoking cigarettes all day, filling my camper with the smell of cigarette smoke. So gross, especially as we were both there all week. So I don’t currently smoke marijuana due to job requirements, but I don’t mind if others do. The rules stated absolutely no marijuana. Be fair KOA, it’s legal here. If you’re going to allow alcohol and tobacco, don’t discriminate against marijuana. I would have much preferred smelling that over the stinky cigarettes my neighbor enjoyed all day long.
