Buttonwood Campground Reviews
This was our first time camping here and we loved it! The campground is very clean and staff are very friendly. Even with the train passing bu in the background, it’s a quiet and calm environment. The campground sits on the Juniata River. The view is gorgeous, especially the fall foliage in the mountains. Trick or Treat was a blast. So many campers had their sites decorated and our kids left with a ton of candy! We will definitely be back for more fun next summer!

The service was exceptional, especially from Bryan, the General Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Sep 27, 2024 · Peter K.Our first time camping at Buttonwood. The grounds are extremely well maintained, clean and the staff was so nice. They were constantly working to maintain the campground and I never saw one employee standing around not working. I was asked two times by staff if I needed help when I was moving my canoe. Campground sits right on the Juniata with easy river access at the campground. They also have a private area for river access that is 1.5 miles up the road so you can float down to the campground. Sites are good size with decent shade in many sites. There is a small catch and release fishing pond and a very nice pool. The camp store carries just about anything you could need. My only issue was the additional cost for certain activities (miniature golf, tube use, shuttle for tubing , pedal carts and jumping pillow) $22.00 per person. I did not require any of these services as I brought my own tubes and do not have young children. We will definitely be back and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Aug 07, 2024 · Adam AdamsAbsolutely the best campground in Pennsylvania! If you pass up on this place it is your loss, the staff and price for everything is right on target, the staff is the upmost professional and friendly we can't wait to get back here again later this year !!!
Apr 17, 2025 · Jim K.One of the nicest campgrounds I have seen. So many activities for kids. Landscape was beautiful. And staff members were great! The camping sites are very tight/close though. Not much room between campers. And I wish they had more golf cart rentals. Unfortunately, I did not know to reserve one prior to my visit. I'd definitely go back!
