Camp Bentley Introduce
For local users in and around Youngstown, Florida, who are searching for "camping near me," it is crucial to understand the nature of the location listed as Camp Bentley, situated at 7636 FL-20, Youngstown, FL 32466, USA. Based on the available information, Camp Bentley is **NOT a public campsite or a designated camping cabin rental facility**. It is, in fact, private property, as explicitly stated by a traveler who encountered the location.
The single review available provides a narrative of a traveler who was searching for a campsite late at night with their children. They found Camp Bentley on a map and, mistakenly assuming it was a public campsite where they could pull over and sleep, drove onto the property. The reviewer clearly states, "NOT A CAMPSITE PRIVATE PROPERTY." This is a critical piece of information for local users who might come across Camp Bentley in their search for "camping near me" on various platforms.
The environment of the property is not described in detail, but its location on FL-20 in Youngstown suggests it might be situated within a typical Florida landscape of pine forests, scrubland, or possibly near local waterways or natural features common to Bay County. Youngstown is located inland from the Gulf Coast and is known for its more rural and natural surroundings. However, since Camp Bentley is private property and not a commercial campsite, the specific environment and any potential amenities associated with a campground would not be applicable.
Given that Camp Bentley is private property, there are no services or features offered to the public as one would expect at a "camping near me" location. There would be no designated campsites, no amenities such as restrooms, showers, fire pits, picnic tables, or hookups for water or electricity. The traveler's experience highlights that there is a property owner residing there. Any interaction with this property owner would be on a personal and private basis, not as a host of a commercial establishment.
The review does commend the property owner for their kindness in a specific situation. When the traveler got stuck trying to turn their trailer around, the owner graciously allowed them to park overnight. This act of hospitality is a testament to the individual's character but should not be interpreted as an invitation for public camping or overnight stays. It was a one-time act of kindness in an unforeseen circumstance.
When local users utilize the platform category "camping near me," they are typically looking for established campgrounds, RV parks, or camping cabin rentals that offer designated sites, amenities, and the ability to book and pay for a stay. Camp Bentley does not fall into this category. It is essential that this distinction is clear to avoid any misunderstandings or trespassing on private property.
Therefore, there are no features of a commercial camping cabin or campground to describe for Camp Bentley. It is not equipped or intended for public use as a campsite. The experience of the traveler was based on a mistaken assumption and the subsequent generosity of the property owner.
Similarly, there is no promotional information relevant to Camp Bentley as a "camping near me" option because it is not a business offering camping services. Any appearance on maps or online listings that might suggest it is a campsite is inaccurate and could lead to unintended intrusions on private property.
Local users searching for legitimate "camping near me" options in the Youngstown, Florida area should look for officially listed campgrounds, RV parks, or cabin rentals that are advertised as such. These facilities will typically have websites, contact information for reservations, and details about their amenities and services.
In conclusion, the information available indicates that Camp Bentley at 7636 FL-20, Youngstown, FL 32466, USA, is **private property and NOT a public campsite or camping cabin rental facility**. The kindness shown by the property owner to a stranded traveler should not be taken as an indication that camping is permitted. Local users seeking camping accommodations in the area should search for officially recognized campgrounds and RV parks to ensure they are staying at a designated location with the necessary facilities and permissions.

Camp Bentley Reviews
Traveling all over and couldn't find camping sites late at night with my kids, and I found this spot on the maps assuming it was a campsite to pull over and sleep at, but it was someone's property actually and when I got stuck trying to turn my trailer around the property owner was kind and told me we could park for the night not a problem. NOT A CAMPSITE PRIVATE PROPERTY, but absolutely kind for the one night stay! Definitely appreciated it!
