This evokes a sense of natural beauty and tranquility, ideal for those looking to escape the urban landscape and immerse themselves in a wooded setting. Forested areas often provide shade, opportunities for wildlife observation, and a generally peaceful atmosphere, enhancing the outdoor experience for campers and cabin renters alike.
The same review mentions that there is "enough to see and do to keep the scouts busy." This is crucial for a smooth and positive experience, especially when coordinating group bookings or dealing with any logistical needs. The staff's helpfulness is further illustrated by their willingness and ability to "work with us to find a suitable cabin to accommodate a last minute increase in the size of our unit." This demonstrates flexibility and a commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring that groups can be accommodated even with unexpected changes in plans. The reviewer notes that without the staff's help, they "likely would have needed to cancel or deal with the fallout of too many people in too small of a space," underscoring the value of the excellent service provided.
Another reviewer mentions renting "the big cabin to the left of the entrance every year for our scout pack," indicating that Camp Tuscazoar has established itself as a preferred and reliable destination for recurring group outings. This speaks to the consistent quality and suitability of the facilities for organized groups. The reviewer also highlights that it's a "great place to hike and chill for the weekend," suggesting that the camp offers both opportunities for active exploration of the natural surroundings and spaces for relaxation and unwinding.
Based on these reviews, the primary accommodation types mentioned are cabins, particularly a "big cabin" suitable for larger groups like scout packs. Feb 23, 2025 · Lowell FilakWe rent the big cabin to the left of the entrance every year for our scout pack. Great place to hike and chill for the weekend.
Mar 23, 2025 · Michael HartzellBeautiful place filled with such amazing history. We went with the cubscout pack stayed in the oldest cabin in the oldest boy scout camp in Ohio. The true rustic cabin was filled with character. Amazing experience tho we went in cold weather and the fire didn't keeps warm (so pack for it colder than you would expect to stay in for winter months) but it was still cool and would go back. The Maple days were filled with fun facts and it was so interesting to see how maple syrup is made right from the trees on the campground. Absolutely delicious too the pancake breakfast with eggs & sausages was fantastic Toped with the camp made maple syrup.
Mar 09, 2019 · Nicole DorinI great place for challenging hiking and lots of things to see.
Sep 11, 2022 · drew polarisGreat place to have a bunch of outdoor experiences. We started coming here with our sons cub scout pack and enjoyed the place so much that we come often to see the changes in seasons while hiking or camping. They offer camping, hiking, biking, mountain bike courses, and excellent views. It's definitely a place we will come to often over the years. Pretty soon we will come here to try out the mountain bike course for beginners. They even have a black diamond course which the faint of heart should not try from what I've been told.
