campground town of Phillips Introduce
Hello, local outdoor enthusiasts! Are you searching for "camping near me" in or around the town of Phillips, Wisconsin? Let us introduce you to the campground in the town of Phillips, located in Phillips, WI 54555, USA. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with some notable features and considerations for potential visitors. Let's delve into what you can expect from a stay at the town of Phillips campground.
The Environment: Clean and Accessible, with a Local Beach Nearby
According to visitor feedback, the campground in the town of Phillips is "very clean and well kept up," which is a significant positive aspect for any camper. The location also offers access to a beach that is popular with local people for swimming and relaxation. This suggests that the campground might be situated near a body of water, such as a lake or river, where both campers and local residents can enjoy the waterfront. While the review mentions an "open lot," this might imply that the campsites themselves are not heavily wooded or particularly secluded. However, the cleanliness and proximity to a recreational beach area enhance the appeal. The campground's location near Highway 13 is also noted, which could provide easy access but might also mean some level of traffic noise. Overall, the environment seems to be characterized by cleanliness, accessibility, and the amenity of a nearby local beach.
Services and Amenities: Clean Bathrooms and Electric Hookups
Customer reviews provide some insight into the services and amenities available at the town of Phillips campground:
- Clean Bathrooms: One reviewer specifically mentioned that the "bathrooms are very nice and clean," which is a crucial aspect for a comfortable camping experience.
- Electric Hookups: The campground offers electric hookups at a rate of $25 per night, as stated by a visitor. This is an important amenity for RV campers or those who rely on electricity for their camping setup.
- Water Access: While not explicitly mentioned, campgrounds often provide access to potable water, at least in common areas. This would be a reasonable expectation, though it's not confirmed in the provided reviews.
- Beach Access: The proximity to a local beach is itself a significant amenity, offering opportunities for swimming and relaxing by the water.
One review also contrasts this campground with Solberg County Park, suggesting that Solberg might be a preferred option for longer stays or those seeking a different atmosphere, particularly on weekends. This implies that the town of Phillips campground might have a different feel or set of amenities compared to Solberg.
Features and Highlights: Cleanliness, Beach Proximity, and Highway Accessibility
The key features and highlights of the town of Phillips campground, based on the reviews, include:
- Clean and Well-Kept: The emphasis on cleanliness in the reviews is a major positive.
- Access to a Local Beach: The proximity to a swimming and relaxation beach is a significant amenity, especially for families and those who enjoy water activities.
- Electric Hookups: The availability of electric hookups caters to RVers and campers needing power.
- Convenient Location Near Highway 13: The nearness to a major highway provides easy access to and from the campground.
However, one reviewer suggests it might be better suited for shorter stays (one or two nights) due to it being an "open lot" and its proximity to the highway. They also recommend Solberg County Park for potentially longer or more nature-oriented stays, especially on weekdays.

While there are no explicit promotions mentioned, the information provided does give us a clear indication of pricing for one amenity: $25 per night for a site with electricity. For local users looking for a clean and conveniently located "camping near me" option, especially for a night or two and if electric hookups are needed, the town of Phillips campground offers this at a stated price. The popularity of the beach with locals might also be seen as an attraction, though it's a shared amenity. For those prioritizing cleanliness and easy access, this campground presents a viable option.

Park is very clean and well kept up. Just beware if you come here that the beach gets alot of local people to swim and relax as well. Bathrooms are very nice and clean.
Jul 13, 2024 · Gary BrinerGreat place for one or two nights open lot and near highway 13. Not a place to stay for 3 nights.$25 per night electric. Do solberg county Park if you can avoid weekends there -weekdays are great at solberg.

Apr 17, 2025 · Fred FojutCute and tidy campground with a little playground and beach for the kids. Right outside of town and you can walk just a little bit to a bigger playground, splash pad, and boat launch. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. You pay for the shower but the firewood is free. Very reasonable rate and so close to town. We'd stay again!
Jul 30, 2021 · Kristin ZasadaThe price is good at $25 per night, but it doesn't have wi fi or cable, which was fine for us. They have nice boat docks and beach area.
