Cedar Bloom Farm Reviews
Cedar Bloom is a beautiful wedding venue! As a photographer, I get excited each time I get to capture a wedding here. It provides a stunning backdrop for each part of your day, from the dome to the a-frames, the shaded ceremony site and the expansive fields for the reception, AND the the river access for newly wed portraits. The light in that area, nestled in the hills and woods is truly breathtaking. If you're hoping for a nature-oriented space, where guests can immerse themselves and even camp or clamp for the weekend, this venue must be considered!
Feb 21, 2025 · Jade HincksCedar Bloom is one of the loveliest places I have ever camped! The entire property is along a mile of riverfront and you have access to seriously BEAUTIFUL swimming holes as a camper. There are really nice showers, composting toilets, nice clean well water to drink, and acres of pristine land to wander. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. There are super cute little A-frame cabins you can rent, and lots of space to make your own lovely campsite. I’ve ended up extending my stay every time because it’s such a sweet sanctuary. Also they have a really deluxe commercial kitchen that guests have access to. This spot is really worth going out of your way for and staying as long as you can.
Jun 21, 2020 · Myree GreyWe stayed here in early October 2019 On our way south to Albion California on our motorcycle camping trip. Though it was very cold this early in the year. This campground was absolutely amazing. This is a private campground set on 100 acres alongside the Illinois River in beautiful Cave Junction Oregon. This is a primitive style campground it does not have any hook ups available. And that is exactly what I enjoyed most about this site. Getting back to what camping is really all about! After arriving at our campsite in Albion California. We told all of our fellow riders about this amazing private campground. We all decided that in 2020 this will be our gathering point. Can’t wait for all of my fellow riders to experience this beautiful gem of a campground in all of its beautiful natural scenery.
Oct 19, 2019 · Kevin LoveOverpriced!!All the things said about how beautiful the land and the swimming hole are, are true, but when it comes to the camping, some things are somehow odd, or absurd, especially for a price of $85-95/night for nothing but a camp site:- No walk-in’s possible: even if you see availability on Hipcamp, you cannot go there and book directly with them a) because they don’t publish a phone number to call and their website links to Hipcamp booking only and b) because they have a massive code-controlled gate that won’t let you in without the access code.- No spigots to wash your dishes or hands, you have to walk to the furthest end where the communal kitchen is.- No trash bins, their personal ones are locked away, and they ask you to take out what you bring in. With their location being so remote, it’s clear that every leaving camper will dispose of their trash in the little community of Cave Junction.- The 8 composting port-a-potties serve as main restrooms, they are tucked far away, about 4-8 minutes to walk - with little kids this is extremely inconvenient to say the least- The „family beach“ is a rocky river bed, you can just dip your toes there but bring river shoes or water shoes as kids won’t walk on those rocks.- The swimming hole has no easy access, there is one floating deck, but it’s so small that one family will fully occupy it. There are no other leveled spots to sit or lie.- There are zero activities for little kids, no swing, no slide and the bushes and trees are full of poison oak.- When you book on HipCamp, you are presented with a long list of merchandise and swag items to buy before you even checkout…they sell tiny flower bouquets for $15 and some with 2 more flowers for $20. They rent a kayak for $15/hour. The tea house can be used for a „donation“.- Cancelling is pricey! They only refund 30% of the nightly rate of $85-95 and without a good reason (whatever that may mean), the manager also won’t be cooperative.Overall, they present their awards as #1 campsite etc but you get the impression that their other events, like weddings and spiritual gatherings are the main focus. Long story short, you definitely don’t get the value for a $85-95/campsite.
Aug 01, 2024 · Julia MartensenThis is the most beautiful campground I've ever visited in my entire life, and it's so apparent that the owners really care for the land and people here. They are so careful to maintain a natural landscape and pay respects to the indigenous people who were here before them. Every interaction I've had at Cedar Bloom happens from the heart. I am completely nourished by the clean air and water here, and falling asleep to the beautiful sounds of the river. I've attended Spirit Weavers Gathering twice and the experience completely evolved me on an interpersonal, emotional, and spiritual level. It's tough for me to read the negative reviews which, from my perspective, are based in assumption - such as "played the mistake card for her own financial benefit". That's just not the culture here at all, and not something Mea would ever do. Another review which said "Not a safe area for women traveling on their own" when this is the safest and most respectful place for women I've ever experienced. I will be recommending Cedar Bloom Farm to all my friends and family, and if you enjoy your visit, you will too!
