Chestnut Creek Cabins Reviews
Such a wonderful, quiet get away! It was a great way to escape internet and tv and enjoy the sound of the river and peacefulness of the mountains. There was wifi in the cabin, but it was t very great (which we enjoyed because we didn’t want to have it anyway). There are two tv’s (one small one in the living room and a slightly bigger one in the bedroom) that didn’t connect to cable. The one in the living room had a built in dvd player. There was a beautiful front porch with 4 rocking chairs and you can hear the river just through the trees. There was a back porch as well that we didn’t use as much. We had a wonderful outdoor seating area with a picnic table and a fire pit (you can purchase a bundle of wood from the office for $7). There was a beautiful pond on the property and it is within 10 minutes of the state park with gorgeous hikes along the New River. We are already making plans to go back!
Oct 13, 2024 · Meredith StanleyIt wad quiet and low key where we were at, the cabin was pretty and all but it had its disadvantages (what doesnt) The floors were very loud and creeky in spots in the cabin, the tv in the living room was really small and the one in the second bedroom was bigger, and they were both connected together so if you used the one in the living room, you would see whats playing on that tv on the bedroom tv. And the toilet would fill up with hot water, which was very weird. But other than that, it was a pretty little cabin and manageable for a couple days stay.
Jul 21, 2024 · Taylor TurnbowAmazing cabin (oak Haven) photos do not do it justice! Immaculately cleaned perfectly set up to walk in and just start your relaxation. I was surprised that there actually is Wi-Fi here added bonus but even without the only word to describe it is perfect. I would make a suggestion though. This is quite a romantic little retreat. A couple of wine glasses would be the icing on the cake.
May 05, 2024 · Constance GreenleeGreat place for a great rate. Loved the view and how quite the area was. New River trail is right out front. The inside was very cozy and welcoming and had everything we needed for the weekend. The hot tub was the best part, spent many hours relaxing and sipping wine even though the air temp was around 25-30°. Was a great Birthday weekend getaway and look forward to going back.
Feb 22, 2021 · Wesley MarloweWe were able to book a cabin on very short notice. Terry was great to work with. Nice area located on one of the most beautiful sections of the New River Bike Trail. We will definitely come again!
