Choctaw Park Reviews
Absolutely loved this campground! Great place for children to ride bikes, play, and swim! (Watch out for poison ivy though!) Campsites were well spread out with lots of shade. Clean bathrooms with hot showers. Definitely on our list of favorites!
May 31, 2024 · Kristen PiccioloWas a great experience despite wind and rain. Beautiful scenery! Easy access to boat ramps and parking. Great campsites, and clean restrooms. Floating Porta potties was helpful!
Aug 17, 2024 · Teena GreenBest place close by with sandy swimming area. Not much parking at swimming area. There is only a couple spots of shade. The RV camp grounds usually stay full nearly year round. Free life vests. $5 daily use, $40 year pass.
Jun 24, 2024 · Daniele LillyI would love to give this a 5 star but the restrooms on the loop D were a little questionable. Otherwise a beautiful park on the lake! This was at site D24.
Sep 06, 2024 · Stephanie WeithmanThere's no one to overlook the campground. Being the only ones here in December, we can notice a lot that goes on. The opened bathroom is daily frequented by non-paying customers that come in and shower, dumping their used adult diapers in the trash, taking the toilet paper, and leaving the restroom a filthy mess. I had to clean the shower with my cleaning supplies before taking a shower. Btw, there is no cleaning service to maintain these restrooms, or anything else at this time. We also noticed that people sneak in in the evenings, set up camp, & leave in the morning so they don't have to pay. We know this because the sites are not reserved at any time, according to the online reservation website. What a shame to see this happening to our favorite campground, and respite place.
