Claremore Expo RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "camping near me" in the Claremore or Tulsa area of Oklahoma, Claremore Expo RV Park, located at 400 Veterans Pkwy, Claremore, OK 74017, USA, presents itself as a potentially convenient option due to its location. However, recent customer feedback provides a mixed perspective on the current state of the RV park, which should be carefully considered by local users seeking a reliable camping destination.
Regarding the environment, one positive aspect mentioned in a review is the "excellent location" of the RV park. This suggests that it might offer convenient access to local attractions, amenities, or perhaps the Claremore Expo Center itself, which could be a draw for those attending events there. However, another significant environmental concern raised by a reviewer is that "THE TREES NEED TO BE CUT BACK!" This resulted in "two long scratches on the RV," indicating a potential issue with site maintenance and the impact on RVs navigating the park. This is a crucial point for RV owners to consider when looking for "camping near me" and assessing the suitability of the sites.
The services at Claremore Expo RV Park appear to have experienced some changes, according to recent reviews. One long-term visitor noted that in the past, there was a camp host who would greet travelers and presumably assist with their arrival. However, the current situation seems to be lacking in this regard, with the reviewer stating, "Now the camp host doesn't do ANYTHING." They further elaborate on observing the camp host at home while new travelers arrived without assistance and failing to address issues such as a dog defecating without the owner cleaning up. Another reviewer echoed the absence of a camp host, stating, "No camp host, so I'm so glad I had made a resv and requested the space number, or we would not have known which space to go to." This lack of an active and helpful camp host could impact the overall experience, especially for first-time visitors or those needing assistance upon arrival.
Furthermore, the cleanliness and maintenance of some facilities have been called into question. One reviewer described the "men's room" as "nasty" and noted that "the showers need repainted." Additionally, the laundry facilities seem limited, with only "one washer and one dryer" available. These points suggest potential shortcomings in the upkeep of essential amenities, which are important factors to consider when choosing a "camping near me" location for comfort and convenience.
Another aspect of the environment and services mentioned in the reviews relates to some longer-term residents. One reviewer noted "a few permanent staying there, apparently for a while" and recounted an incident involving a vehicle driven "way too fast with dark tinted windows" passing close to them while walking their dogs at night. While this is an isolated incident reported by one individual, it raises a potential concern about safety and the behavior of some individuals within the park. Additionally, the first reviewer mentioned the camp host "taking from the expo center without giving back any kind of work," alluding to a potential issue with the management or operation of the RV park in relation to the Expo Center.
In terms of features, beyond the location's potential proximity to the Expo Center and other Claremore amenities (which are not specified in the reviews), there are limited positive features highlighted in the recent feedback. The fact that a reviewer who experienced scratched their RV still acknowledged that "otherwise, this is a nice rv park" and praised the "excellent location" suggests that the underlying infrastructure or layout might have some positive aspects, but these are overshadowed by the maintenance and management concerns raised.
Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not contain any details about current discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs at Claremore Expo RV Park. As such, local users would need to seek this information directly from the park management, perhaps by contacting the Claremore Expo Center or by visiting the RV park in person to inquire about rates and any ongoing promotions. It's important to note that the lack of positive recent reviews regarding management and maintenance might outweigh any potential promotional benefits for some users seeking a reliable "camping near me" experience.
In conclusion, while Claremore Expo RV Park may offer a convenient location for those visiting Claremore or attending events at the Expo Center, recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the management, maintenance, and services. The absence of a helpful camp host, issues with the cleanliness of restrooms and the condition of showers, limited laundry facilities, and potential safety concerns raised by one incident are all factors that local users should carefully consider when searching for "camping near me." The positive aspect of the location is noted, but the negative feedback regarding the upkeep of the park and the lack of a responsive camp host suggests that potential visitors should weigh these issues against the convenience of the location. It would be prudent for prospective campers to seek more up-to-date information and perhaps even visit the park to assess its current condition before making a reservation. The need for tree trimming, the reported state of the facilities, and the absence of a proactive camp host are critical points that may deter those seeking a well-maintained and pleasant "camping near me" experience in the Claremore area.

Claremore Expo RV Park Reviews
We have stayed here every time we visit family for the past 4 years. Was a decent place had a camp host that would greet ya. Now the camp host doesn't do ANYTHING. I've watched travelers come in them being home, but I never saw them help out. Let's there dog out it craps where it wants and doesn't pick up after it.There's a few permanent staying there, apparently for a while. I was out walking my dogs about 10 pm when one came in way too fast with dark tinted windows and had past about 2ft from me. The men's room is nasty. The showers need repainted. The laundry room has one washer and one dryer. Our return next year will be someplace else. I wouldn't recommend it as of now. Maybe if they'd concentrate on fixing what damage the tornado did a year before and get a camp host that would do their job instead of taking from the expo center without giving back any kind of work I would consider staying here again. I don't like to leave any place a bad review, but treatment of travelers and word of mouth or posts like this will hurt business.

No camp host, so I'm so glad I had made a resv and requested the space number, or we would not have known which space to go to.
Oct 14, 2024 · L SchConcrete pads. Asphalt driveways. Pull through sites. Grass is mowed and it is well-maintained. Well lit. Very convenient to downtown shopping and eating. The Claremore rec center is right by the campground. 51 TV channels over the air. Wi-Fi does not work.
Oct 20, 2024 · Chuck Mabreybooked site #44 arrived and camphost is on that site.stopoed at camphost and asked where I'm supposed to park, he didn't care and wasn't helpful. online camp map shows host is supposed to be in next row. Grass is a foot tall, obvious camp host doesn't do it. laundry room trash overfilled, trash on ground in a few spots and obvious there's atleast 1 other permanent tenant beside host, maybe more. Does have some nice spots with shade from trees, which was nice. need code to access bathrooms and free laundry with 1 washer and 1 dryer in a small closet/room. I haven't checked out bathrooms, but don't expect much. 1135pm train blowing it's horn.. not 1st one tonight.
