You can reach them at (918) 743-6125 or +1 918-743-6125 for inquiries and bookings. Let's explore the environment, services, features, and some promotional aspects of this local gem.
Environment: Natural Beauty with Ponds and Trails
Based on customer reviews, the environment at Jack Graves Scout Reservation is characterized by its natural beauty, including the presence of at least three different ponds and a noteworthy 2.3-mile hiking trail. This trail is described as winding "like an old country road" and passing through a "plethora of beautiful nature." This suggests a diverse landscape that could include woodlands, open areas, and the serene settings around the ponds. Hikers can likely expect varied terrain and opportunities to observe local flora and fauna. The presence of multiple ponds enhances the scenic value and might also attract wildlife to the area, offering opportunities for nature observation and peaceful reflection by the water.
The overall environment appears to be well-maintained and conducive to outdoor exploration and enjoyment. The mention of "beautiful nature" suggests a setting that allows visitors to connect with the natural landscape of Oklahoma. Depending on the time of year, visitors might experience different aspects of the local ecosystem, from spring blooms to the colors of autumn. The trail's length makes it suitable for a moderate hike, allowing for a good stretch and immersion in the surroundings without being overly strenuous.
Services and Facilities: Camping and Classroom Capabilities
Customer feedback highlights "great camping and classroom facilities" at the Jack Graves Scout Reservation. This indicates that the site is equipped to host overnight stays in a camping setting, likely offering designated camping areas. The mention of "classroom facilities" suggests that the reservation can also accommodate educational or training events, making it suitable for groups beyond just scouting. These facilities could include indoor spaces for meetings, workshops, or other activities, complementing the outdoor experiences available.
The reservation is noted as being "good for Cub scout activities, COPE, Scouts and more," implying a versatility in the types of groups and activities it can support. COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) often involves team-building and problem-solving activities in an outdoor setting, suggesting that the reservation might have specific areas or equipment for such programs. The welcoming of Cub Scouts and Scouts indicates that the facilities are youth-friendly and geared towards outdoor education and recreation for these age groups.
While specific details about the types of camping (e.g., tent sites, RV hookups – though the latter is less likely given its scout reservation focus) are not provided, the review confirms the availability of camping infrastructure. Similarly, details about the classroom facilities (e.g., capacity, available equipment) are not given, but their presence expands the potential uses of the reservation beyond just camping.
A point of consideration mentioned in a review is the "timing to get onto the property," emphasizing that "proper coordination with the ranger is a must to make for a smooth weekend of Scout fun." This suggests that there might be specific procedures or schedules for accessing the reservation, and communication with the on-site ranger is important for a seamless visit, especially for groups or events.
Features: Hiking Trail, Ponds, and Group Accommodation
The standout features of Jack Graves Scout Reservation include the excellent 2.3-mile hiking trail that meanders through beautiful nature and past three ponds, offering a scenic and engaging outdoor activity. The ponds themselves are another significant feature, adding to the aesthetic appeal and potentially providing opportunities for fishing (if permitted) or simply enjoying the waterside environment.
The availability of both camping and classroom facilities makes this a versatile location suitable for a range of needs, from weekend camping trips to educational retreats and group events. Its proven track record with various scouting groups, including Cub Scouts and older Scouts, as well as activities like COPE, highlights its capability to host organized programs effectively.

Apr 01, 2025 · Brittney FreemanReally nice place for the kids to camp. Good bathrooms for a campground. The pavilions are nice. 2 complaints which aren't really that bad. 1st is that the only place for a fire pit is all the way at the back of the camp. And 2nd the pond is so full of algae you can't fish. Maybe add in some carp to clean it up.
