Clearwater Campground Introduce
For local residents seeking a versatile "camping near me" experience that extends beyond the traditional summer season, Clearwater Campground, located at 556 NH-104, Meredith, NH 03253, USA, offers a compelling option. You can reach them at (603) 279-7761 or +1 603-279-7761 for inquiries and reservations. Customer reviews highlight the comfortable deluxe cabins and year-round amenities, including an indoor pool, as well as its proximity to lake activities and winter snowmobiling trails, making it a destination for all seasons.
Situated in the heart of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, Meredith is known for its stunning natural beauty, encompassing sparkling lakes, rolling hills, and picturesque landscapes. Clearwater Campground benefits from this prime location, offering guests easy access to the region's many attractions. The presence of lake access suggests opportunities for swimming, boating, and enjoying the waterfront. Additionally, its proximity to snowmobiling trails, as mentioned by a long-term winter guest, makes it an ideal base for winter sports enthusiasts. For local users searching for "camping near me" that provides a gateway to both summer and winter outdoor adventures, Clearwater Campground's location is a significant asset.
One of the notable features of Clearwater Campground is its "deluxe cabin (on wheels)" option, which received high praise from a recent guest. This cabin was described as "very comfortable" and "spacious," providing a more luxurious alternative to traditional tent camping. The inclusion of a well-stocked kitchen with utensils, plates, and cups adds convenience, allowing guests to easily prepare meals. The surprisingly comfortable pull-out couch and the large screened-in porch, perfect for enjoying the outdoors even during rain, further enhance the comfort and usability of these deluxe cabins. For local users seeking "cabin rentals NH" as a more comfortable "camping near me" option, these deluxe cabins at Clearwater Campground appear to be an excellent choice.
Clearwater Campground offers a range of amenities to enhance the guest experience. A long-term guest of 18 years specifically mentioned the year-round indoor pool, a significant advantage for those looking for "camping near me" during the colder months or simply wanting to enjoy a swim regardless of the weather. The campground also features a "fishing dock" next to a private boat dock, catering to anglers. While one reviewer noted that the fishing dock needs some maintenance due to rocky and unstable sections, its presence is still a draw for those interested in fishing. Other mentioned amenities include decent-sized fire pits, picnic tables at each site, and a game room located on a different part of the property (requiring a short drive). The availability of these amenities contributes to a well-rounded camping experience.
The campground's location also caters to specific interests. The proximity to snowmobiling trails, lauded by a guest who enjoys winter getaways, makes Clearwater Campground a prime destination for local snowmobile enthusiasts seeking "year-round camping NH" or a winter basecamp. The mention of a beach being a favorite spot for grandchildren further highlights the family-friendly nature of the campground and its appeal during the warmer months for those searching for "family campgrounds NH" with lake access.
One reviewer pointed out some unusual rules regarding the free kayak and SUP rentals. While the offer of 2 free kayak and 1 free SUP rental per stay is attractive, it is limited to 2 hours. The reviewer also noted an apparent discrepancy between the number of available rentals and the number offered for free, as well as the need to go to the main building to obtain paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs) due to an unattended rental booth. This suggests that while the amenity is available, the process might have some inconveniences. It would be advisable for potential guests to inquire about the specific details and procedures for watercraft rentals.
Another amenity mentioned is laundry access, although the reviewer described it as "expensive." This is a practical consideration for longer stays, and local users might want to inquire about the pricing to factor it into their budget. The fact that a long-term guest has been returning for 18 years and even had family members upgrade to a park model speaks volumes about the overall positive experience and community at Clearwater Campground.
Currently, there is no explicit promotional information in the provided reviews. However, the implicit advantages of comfortable deluxe cabins, a year-round indoor pool, lake access, proximity to snowmobiling trails, and a welcoming atmosphere evident from the long-term repeat visitors can be considered strong selling points. For local users seeking a versatile and amenity-rich "camping near me" option in Meredith, NH, Clearwater Campground offers a compelling package. To inquire about seasonal discounts, long-term rates, or any other special offers, it is recommended to contact the campground directly via phone.
In conclusion, Clearwater Campground in Meredith, NH, provides a diverse range of options for local users seeking "camping near me," from comfortable deluxe cabin rentals to traditional campsite experiences. Its year-round appeal, thanks to the indoor pool and proximity to snowmobiling trails, coupled with its lake access and family-friendly environment, makes it a destination for all seasons. While there might be some quirks regarding specific amenity usage, the overall positive feedback, especially regarding the accommodations and long-term guest satisfaction, suggests a welcoming and enjoyable getaway. Clearwater Campground Reviews
Stayed specifically in a deluxe cabin (on wheels). Very comfortable, spacious, kitchen was stocked with utensils, plates, cups, etc. The pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable. The screened in porch was large and very nice to have to sit outside of the rain. The place itself is a bit odd when it comes to the rules. 2 free kayak and 1 free SUP rental with your stay but for 2 hours. There were more kayaks and sups that seemed available but only 1 kayak was free for us to use. There wasn't anyone working the rental booth so we had to go to the main building at the entrance of the campground to get a paddle and PFD. So weird. There was a fishing dock next to a private boat dock and the fishing dock itself needs some maintenance work as it was very rocky and unstable in some sections. The fire pit was a decent size, a picnic table included, a pool and game room on a different part of the property that needed to be driven to and expensive laundry access. We only stayed a night but it was a pretty comfortable stay.
Jun 10, 2024 · stephen salvadorWe have been at this campround for 18 years. We love our little getaway, especially in the winter! I never thought I would be up there in the winter months as much as we are. The indoor pool is open year round and the trails for snowmobiling are close by. I love taking my grandchildren to go to the beach! Our nephew and his family bought a place behind us and loved it so much they upgraded to a park model! Great place to bring the family. Quiet and clean😊
Mar 21, 2024 · Kim SheaThe cabin is really nice, and the campsite is fairly private. The shower is an amazing convenience. The kids really enjoyed the bunk beds, but all of the beds are very firm, which isn't my preference. The pull out couch is not comfortable to sleep on, as you can feel the bar along your back. We love the screened in porch, so we can still be outside, even if it's raining. The store doesn't have an ATM, which is inconvenient when they require cash payment for additional key cards. Overall really nice experience, and we'll be coming here again.
Aug 22, 2023 · Matt LemieuxTOO MANY RULES !! This place is rule crazy. No jumping in the pool. No motorcycles allowed. No fires after midnight Everywhere you look at this place there are rules on signs, rules on paper, rules. The motto should be live free somewhere else !! They won’t guarantee sites unless you book 6 nights. We actually enjoyed our stay here. The sites are a bit tight. Its nice and wooded. Its not the worst campground ever but definitely not the best.
Jun 22, 2023 · The GuyBeautiful, well-maintained, and pleasant atmosphere! It was a wonderful choice for our family. They were clear about safety and rules, but they were reasonable and not at all stifling or alarming. The beach was clean and raked daily, the water was clear and the swimming area was well marked. My kids were thrilled with the play area! We will definitely return next year!
