The environment surrounding Coal Bluff Park Campground is described as "quiet and relaxing," making it an appealing destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The presence of a lake suggests opportunities for boating and fishing, adding a significant natural element to the camping experience. Additionally, the campground features a "stocked pond for fishing," providing another convenient option for anglers. The availability of a swimming pool offers a refreshing alternative to lake swimming, especially during the warmer Mississippi months. The mention of tennis courts indicates recreational facilities beyond water-based activities, suggesting a well-rounded outdoor experience. Amenities include a swimming pool for recreation, a stocked pond for fishing, and access to a lake for boating and fishing. While one reviewer mentioned potential issues with "service" and "mosquitos," they also noted that WiFi is available ("service which you can get WiFi and it does help"). They advised bringing mosquito spray, which is common for outdoor activities in the region, and mentioned that a fire can also help with mosquitoes for those who enjoy campfires. The availability of tennis courts adds another recreational option for guests. It is recommended to call ahead, as suggested by one reviewer, likely to check availability and any specific requirements for tent or RV sites.

While the high number of what appeared to be long-term residents might be a feature to some (suggesting a stable and perhaps community-oriented environment), it might be less appealing to those seeking a purely transient camping experience. The availability of WiFi, despite potential service limitations, is a feature that can be important for staying connected. The allowance of campfires (as suggested by a reviewer) adds to the traditional camping experience. Coal Bluff Park Campground Reviews
Not a bad park, as someone else mentioned it looks like most of the people there actually live there, just about all the campsites was full with trailers, nice lady was helpful when I called, do suggest calling first, it was ok for tent camping but really seems geared to RV camping. They also have tennis courts, swimming pool and a stocked pond for fishing, just watch out for the 4 foot long alagator.
Sep 26, 2021 · Dad OfSonicFan#1I think it’s a very good place to come. People are friendly, no one bothers you. It’s really quiet and relaxing especially if you can sit outside. Mrs.JoAnn the lady that runs it will help you anyway she can. She keeps everything straight around there. They do look after there people. They have a swimming pool and a place to fish and of course the lake for boaters and fishermen. They only thing that is agreeable with some other reviews is the service there and mosquitos. But we do the best we can with service which you can get WiFi and it does help and bring mosquito spray and you will be good. And a fire helps for those who likes fires. We have enjoyed staying there and recommend to anyone who loves to camp and get away.
May 02, 2024 · Alanna ClarkThe wifi and cable reception is terrible. I’m not sure if the water is safe to drink. It is very slimy. We always cooked with bottled water and put a water purifier on our camper. It is extremely quite there and the mosquitoes are terrible!!
Aug 05, 2023 · Dawna NorrisA very nice, quiet, and affordable place to camp, with a camper or just a tent. On the Pearl River and has a boat launch! It is an alcohol free place.....which means....don't advertise that are drinking!!! It really is a good weekend get-away place!!
Jun 17, 2022 · JERRY DEFORRESTThis park needs better access to the sandy swimming area. It was super muddy and slippery and at several points you literally have to walk through water and mud dense enough to suck the shoes right off your feet. Once you get to the sandy swimming area be careful because the current is so strong it has drowned people or so we were told by the park rangers.
