Colter Campground Reviews
Fantastic hosts, fantastic site on a small hill. With solars, we could stay here very comfortably. Long drop bathrooms very clean & not smelly. We rode bikes up Lulu pass, & down the freeway to a historical mining area. We had buffalo visitor and a moose which was way cool! Definitely a place to stay if wanting to be near the NE gate of Yellowstone. 2 small towns nearby for food, supplies, & tourist stuff. I included our Moose visitor.
Jul 16, 2021 · Marta HintzHosts are amazing. Pulled in around 5pm and were greeted by the hosts who told us what spots were still available and what would best suit our RV. Told us to drive around and check them out and come back if we picked one we liked. We decided on spot 18 which was beautiful. All spots are spaced out nicely for privacy and just beautiful. Each spot has a fire ring, picnic table and bear box. Hard sided camping only due to bears. Bathrooms and potable water available. Very close to Yellowstone. Wish we would have found this place sooner. $20 a night with no hook ups but worth it. My husband and I drove through soda butte campground but was so glad we drove further to find this hidden gem. Would definitely recommend.
