Cook’s Lake RV Parking Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in Memphis, Tennessee, specifically tailored for RVs and offering a comfortable and well-managed environment? Cook’s Lake RV Parking, located at 4249 N Watkins St, presents an excellent option for both short-term visitors and those seeking a longer stay. Based on positive customer reviews, this RV park appears to prioritize ease of access, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a noteworthy consideration for RV travelers in the Memphis area.
The environment of Cook’s Lake RV Parking, while situated within the city of Memphis, seems to offer a more relaxed and spacious feel compared to some purely urban RV parks. One reviewer specifically mentions "lots of room for getting your camper in and out easily," suggesting that the layout is well-designed and accommodates RVs of various sizes without the tight maneuvering often found in more crowded locations. The presence of a lake, indicated by the name "Cook’s Lake" and the reviewer's comment about "fishing being a nice addition," suggests a potentially scenic and recreational element to the environment. While the immediate surroundings are urban, the inclusion of a lake provides a natural amenity that enhances the camping experience. This offers a unique blend of city accessibility with the opportunity for some lakeside relaxation and fishing.
The services at Cook’s Lake RV Parking appear to be well-regarded by its patrons. The availability of WiFi, albeit through a deposit and borrowing a hotspot box from the owner, indicates that connectivity is offered, which is an important service for many travelers. The positive long-term review highlights several key service aspects. The property manager, Micheal Cook, is specifically mentioned as being "very helpful," suggesting a responsive and supportive management presence. The fact that a guest stayed for eight months and felt "very comfortable" speaks volumes about the overall quality of service and management. The property being "well maintained" indicates attention to upkeep and a commitment to providing a pleasant environment for guests. Furthermore, the feeling of safety reported by the long-term guest is a crucial aspect of the services provided, ensuring peace of mind for residents. The mention of a 4th of July camp cookout organized by Mr. Cook points to a sense of community and engagement fostered by the management, enhancing the social aspect of the RV park.
The features of Cook’s Lake RV Parking contribute to its positive reputation. The spaciousness for maneuvering RVs is a significant feature, addressing a common concern for RV travelers. The availability of fishing in Cook’s Lake is a unique and attractive feature, offering a recreational activity on-site. While outdoor facilities beyond this are not detailed by the long-term reviewer (who mentioned not using them), the core features seem to focus on providing a comfortable and secure base for RV living and exploration of Memphis. The provision of WiFi, even with a specific borrowing procedure, is a valuable feature for staying connected. The positive comments about the property being well-maintained suggest that essential infrastructure such as hookups (electricity, water, sewer – though not explicitly mentioned, they are typically expected at an RV park) are likely in good working order. The sense of community fostered by events like the 4th of July cookout adds a social dimension that can be particularly appealing for longer-term residents.
Promotional information for Cook’s Lake RV Parking is not explicitly provided in the reviews. To obtain details on current rates, availability, and any special offers, the provided phone numbers, (901) 570-3595 and +1 901-570-3595, can be used to contact the management directly. Inquiring about daily, weekly, and monthly rates would be beneficial, especially for those considering an extended stay, as longer stays often come with discounted rates. It would also be worthwhile to ask about any seasonal promotions or discounts for specific groups (e.g., seniors, military). Checking online RV park directories and review sites might also yield additional information on pricing and any promotions that might be advertised there. Given the positive long-term stay review, it’s reasonable to assume that they offer competitive rates for extended stays. Calling the provided phone numbers directly is likely the most effective way to get up-to-date and specific promotional details for Cook’s Lake RV Parking.
In conclusion, Cook’s Lake RV Parking at 4249 N Watkins St, Memphis, TN, appears to be a highly recommended "camping near me" option for RV travelers. Aug 24, 2023 · Kimberly MolinaWe are on our way from Colorado Springs to Quantico, VA. We planned out the trip and made this one of our stops. We were unaware when we planned it that Sunday was Motthers Day(did not think about it). They called us Sunday morning to confirm we were coming, and I advised them we would be in later than 4, their normal closing time. Terry said he would stay and wait. It ended up being 530 pm. when we rolled in, and he was polite and gracious about our arrival time. Saw him again the following morning, and he was friendly as can be.The park is clean and quiet. Nice spots. Seems to be a lot of full timers here, and everyone was friendly. Would stay again for sure.
May 13, 2024 · George SleemanThis place is ridiculous. First, I called because I wasn't going to be there until after 7. Gentlemen that answered phone stated they closed at 6 and if I wasn't there by then, I'd have to wait outside the park gate until the next morning....drove like a maniac to get there and noticed the gate was never EVER closed my entire stay. Second and most important, bathrooms were disgusting. Receptionist showed us the location and said to use the one on the left because the one on the right was not good. Neither were good. Only difference was the one on the left didn't have the light hanging off the wall. Was very disappointed with our stay. Would NEVER return.
Oct 26, 2022 · Dolores BedardPoor and rude management. Unforeseen circumstances required a quick move and the management here didn't even allow time to do a thorough check or find another spot. Very poor customer service . I will not be back or be referring bet that
